Paxel was lying in his room one fine day when his Skype alerted him to people wanting his presence, he peered over and noticed a multitude of messages all asking him for the same exact thing much to his chagrin. He shuddered, thinking of the repercussions of posting a picture of himself in his cute little socks and sighed as he decided to just get it over with. "Damn ponies and their sock fetishes…." He said as he angled his laptop to look at his perfect, all white socks. As he snapped a quick picture and frowned, noting that it wasn’t his best work. ‘Click....Click....Click’ went his laptops camera as he tried a bunch of different poses, unsatisfied with most of them. Finally, after a good twenty minutes of snapping photos he finally found one that made him giggle like a little school filly. It was a picture of him lying on his belly, front hooves up with his chin resting on them and kicking his back hooves slowly. Although it was very feminine, he figured he could trust his friends not to show anyone else and finally just drop the subject. He dragged the picture to the group and posted it, hiding under his covers for the incoming spam of messages that would either berate or sexualize him in someway. He popped his head up, not hearing anything and moved closer to his laptop. Everyone accepted the pictures but no one posted anything.
“Phew that means their done with all this sock business...although I did enjoy wearing these socks...they make me feel...pretty...” He turned slightly red and looked away, “Good thing nopony heard me say that...hehe...” He looked back at the laptop screen and decided to ask everyones opinions and even after waiting ten minutes there was no posts. “Err...alright...wait...oh celestia no!” Paxel exclaimed as he finally figured out why no one was talking. They were making things based on the picture! ‘Delta....Vexx...Sweet...I SWEAR TO YOU!’ He posted, rather angrily typing now.

[Paxxykins]: DON'T YOU DARE PUT ME IN WHITE SOCKIES
[Doktor]: Hah, is that a request? I don’t mind putting a picture of you in striped socks!
[Paxxykins]: I’M SO DONE WITH ALL OF YOU!!
[Sandwich Delta]: Oh relax...here we all chipped in why dont you get yourself some prettier socks? Maybe ones that match that pretty little mane of yours...
[Paxxykins]: DELTA!!....wait what?
[Sandwich Delta]: Check Paypal foal...
He tilted his head, rather confused by this statement until he noticed that in his Paypal account sat over 200 bits. He gasped and thought about all the socks he could buy with that amount of bits! He deposited the bits into his back account and ran out of his house, running into his familiar green and brown haired friend who was next to another grey pegasi.
“Hey man, wanna go to Starbucks with Shadow and I? We’ll take my ride and on the way we can yell at random ponies that are walking past and scare them.” He let out a light chuckle until Shadowstone punched his shoulder. “Ow! Okay we won’t yell and scare anypony! ...often...” He winked at Paxel and smirked, that is until he saw his red stallion friend in socks that went all the way up to his thighs.
“Uhm Paxel...w-what’re you...”
“NO TIME I HAVE TO GO BUY UHM....CHILI DOGS OR ELSE I CANT GO FAST?” He looked extremely confused at what he said and shrugged it off, running past them and towards the Dress Barn. Kibbie and Shadowstone both looked at each other rather confused but shrugged it off, walking together and nuzzling each other gently.
“Think he’ll be okay?” Shadow asked him, genuinely concerned.
“Yeah...it’s better if we ignore it...i’m not in the mood for spaghetti if you catch my drift?” He chuckled and kept walking, meanwhile Paxel rushed into the mostly empty store and immediately ran to the socks section.
“White....white...black...grey...white....navy blue...THERE AREN’T PRETTY ENOUGH!” He exclaimed and fell to his back, clearly frustrated. It was then that a colt wearing a scarf and rather frilly looking socks stepped into his vision.
“Excuse me mister but did I hear you say that these socks aren’t pretty enough?” He asked, giving him a rather knowing smile. Paxel nodded slowly, too busy staring at the colts rather confusing outfit. “Well thats because you’re in the wrong section! Follow me!” It was then that the colt began to hop away slowly.
“Wait...but this is the stallions sock section? Where would we be....oh...” He said as he noticed the colt hop into the filly and mares section. “But won’t we get in trouble?” he asked, genuinely worried that everyone would begin to make fun of him because he was in the fillies sock section with a rather adorable looking colt.
“Nah I do this all the time! And if anyone asks either give them the cutest look you can or say you’re buying them for your sister!” The colt giggled and began digging through a bin of lavishly colored looking socks. Paxel was nervous but begin to look through the bin as well and wasn’t disappointed.
“Oh my...celestia these are great! You have bright red! Cool blue!” Paxel exclaimed, holding up two pairs of cute looking socks.
“Short ones! Long ones! With a multitude of hue!” The colt replied, singing a bit.
“These have great designs and these two even have lace!” Paxel sang back to him.
“If you wear those then fillies wont be looking at your face!” He replied to paxel, now standing on the bin and bouncing a bit as music began to play in his head.
“Thanks for showing me this colt, but why havent I ever seen you before?”
“Names Aero! and thats because I’m always in this store!” He grabbed paxel and began to lead him around the store grabbing random objects. “You see when your a colt like me and you feel like you wanna stand out....you run to a place where you can look the best and with my outfit there is no doubt! Now for you my friend I can’t pretend that I may know whats best! But stick with me and I can promise that you’ll always be cutely dressed!”
Aero began dancing, standing and spinning on his backhooves, randomly tossing cute and matching socks to Paxel. As soon as he caught them he tried them on, snapping pictures in the mirror as Aero kept tossing over more and more cute looking articles of clothing. Eventually Aero stopped and looked over his handiwork, there was paxel wearing a pair of green and red socks, a pink and white two-toned scarf, and a little bow in his mane that matched the scarf and the socks. Paxel struggled with a giant bag on each of his front hooves full of socks meant for the opposite gender, but when Aero took a bow Paxel responded to it, dropping the bags and clapping with gusto. Aero grabbed one of the bags and helped take them up to the counter, struggling a bit but looking like he was used to carrying giant bags of clothes.
“Quite the performance Aero, i’ve never sung before but you sounded like a natural...also don’t tell anyone or else I’ll deny I ever sang...or was here!” Paxel looked slightly worried as even though he said didn’t care what anyone else thought of him, but he absolutely hated the thought of anyone thinking he sang a song dressed as he was. Aero nodded, mostly shrugging this comment off as he just looked happy to help. They put the bags on the counter, to the very confused look of the Dress Barns cashier. The mare took the bits for the outfit he was wearing and the rest of the clothes and let them leave without another word. Paxel and Aero looked quite happy as they walked out of Dress Barn, promising to meet up at the same place in a week. Paxel walked towards his house, getting odd stares from the ponies around him but indifferent to everyones opinions, happy with how pretty he felt and looked that was until he ran into a familiar mint green, blue haired mare who was standing next to a white stallion who also had a blue mane that was slightly darker.
“Howdy paxel...looking rather p-pretty...also security cameras sure are a bitch...”
“Yeah I agree! One day I wish to be as famous and great looking in socks as you!” The mare and stallion burst out laughing at paxels socks, scarf and bow. He sneered at them and pushed past them,
“Sounds to me like the sugary beverage and insane doktor are jealous of how good I look!” Paxel gave Tea and Doktor one last glaring look before rushing into his house and shutting the door.
He heard them laughing still but didn’t care and after an intense shouting match with his family he walked into his room. “Idiots...jealous...thats what Aero said...they were....they were all jealous! Oh well...lets check Skype and Tumblr to see what fresh hell has been unleashed today...” He opened skype and saw well over 400+ messages in the chat and sighed, “i’ll save that for last...now for tumblr...” He opened a tab on chrome and after logging in he noticed something weird, he now had well over 9,000 followers and 1900 messages in his inbox. His heart began racing and he checked his dashboard, it was then that he saw a post of him singing along with the dancing aero, both looking quite fabulous in their socks. He almost passed out when he saw that it had well over 230,000 notes. Near the end of the video, Sweet Tea and Doktor are focused on in the security room, having been sitting in there for hours. It was then that he realized he was set up as he noticed a new file on his desktop called ‘The Master Plan. It appears that Delta alerted Tea and Doktor that he’d go there first seeing as it was the closest clothing store near him, so after pitching all their excess money into Paxels bank account Tea snuck Doktor into the security room due to the fact that she worked there as a stocker. They sat around doing random things for a few hours, like playing candy crush, until finally Paxel showed up. It was by sheer luck that the internet famous Aero was there to show him stuff and dress him up. After succumbing to tears multiple times they finally uploaded it to tumblr, and it went viral almost instantly. He was in awe as he read the plan out loud and shut his computer down and hid under his bed, not wanting to deal with this all today. But he did know one thing, he was pretty....now if only he was an alicorn princess. He rolled his eyes and giggled, knowing that would never happen. Unbeknownst to him, Shadowstone was working on a pretty princess spell that would change his life forever...
