Intro
Long ago, in the Kingdom of Equestria, there were three great forms of magic.
The first was that of the Sun. Its magic brought forth life and energy. It also allowed plants to grow and creatures both great and small to run free. The Sun itself was controlled by an Alicorn named Celestia.
The second was that of Moon. From the Moon came creativity and romance. Art of all kinds began to flourish and creatures of every species fell in love. The Moon was controlled by an Alicorn named Luna.
The controlled magic of the Sun and Moon brought piece to the kingdom and every creature who lived within it.
But there was no one to control the third. For between the Sun and Moon came the Stars.
The first to try his hand at this kind of magic was an old dragon. He had studied his whole life and had finally discovered a way to use the Stars. But the second he cast a spell, everything went wrong. The Stars corrupted him and transformed him from a dragon into a being that was chaos itself. A being known as Discord.
The second was a unicorn king who wanted only to be powerful enough to make his small empire one of the strongest in the world. Little did King Sombra know that the power he wanted for prosperity, would bring the Crystal Empire to ruin.
The last to try was the ruler of the Moon herself. She wanted for her only child to be like her, an Alcorn, and to live forever. But the Stars took her daughter from her, and transformed Luna into a monster of jealousy.
Only through harmony were these evils defeated, and only through harmony could the Stars truly be ruled.
