To Build With Deaf Ears
If only my ears could follow my eyes. So I may once again hear and create with what I know, rather than this throbbing silence that seems to linger upon my shoulder. This silence is a grin I can see, and even through deaf ears, almost hear.
Octavia awakens in a strange landscape, alone, unable to hear anything in this unfamiliar space. As far as her eyes can see, she's alone. A look to the sky brings nothing to eye but a bleak, stormy grey, as though the clouds had turned their backs to the sun. Looking forward, she sees something in the distance, a familiar shape, to which she has grown accustomed to her entire life. However, what good is an instrument of beauty to deaf ears?
