As expected, Twilight was fast asleep. Spike took hold of her bed and shook it, causing Twilight to fall out of it. "What is it, Spike? Do you know how late it is?" Twilight scolded her assistant. "What are you even doing up this late, you're a growing dragon, Spike." Twilight asked in a quieter tone. Twilight could see Spike was extremely excited about something. "Anyway, didn't you want to tell me something?" Twilight inquired, genuinely curious about what Spike was so eager to tell her. "Oh, yeah, I found something while I was walking around town." Spike reached into his metaphorical pocket and took out a strange orb. "Do you know what it is?" He suddenly gasped in realization. "Do you think Rarity would like it?" Twilight chuckled in response, before adopting a serious expression. "Well, first off, I don't think you should be walking around town late at night without my permission." Twilight ignored the groan of her assistant, and continued. "Secondly, we don't know what that thing is or where it came from, so I'm going to study it, and you're going to send a letter to Princess Celestia informing her of me studying it. Tomorrow." Twilight put as much emphasis on that word as she could, before flopping down into bed. P P P P P P Celestia's sunlight streamed in through the open window, causing Twilight great discomfort, but achieving the desired result of being awake. She could smell the delecious fragrenge of Spike's mastery seeping up the stairs and straight into her nostrils, and the desire to eat breakfast made her fully awake. She got out of bed and started to walk downstairs before colliding half-way down with her assistant. "Spike, what's the--" "Hey, Twilight! I made you you're favorite breakfast! When are you going to start studying that thing? I want to give it to Rarity for her birthday next week!" Twilight just shook her head at her assistant's enthusiasm. "Thanks for making breakfast so early, Spike. And as for the experiment, I just can't do anything on an empty stomach." "Then you'd better eat, Twilight!" Twilight just rolled her eyes and sat down. P P P P P P After a refreshing meal of hay bacon and eggs, Twilight led Spike into the basement where she had all her high tech machines. She put the shiny trinket in an X-ray machine and scanned it. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a ball of metal. But then something happened, as soon as Twilight touched it with her horn. It sparkled with electricity, growing in size and sucking things into it. "Spike! Run!" Twilight shouted over the noise, desperately trying to contain the warphole she created. Spike didn't need any more encouragement. He ran at speeds that would make Rainbow Dash jealous as he ran to find the other Elements. Although he felt bad about leaving her behind, he was certain she would be able to stop this. He'd send an emergancy letter later. P P P P P P Rainbow Dash was running, actually running, through town, desperate to get the new Daring Do book without anypony noticing, when she suddenly bowled into Spike. "Rainbow! I need to you..." Spike paused to catch his breath. "Lemme guess. Gather up the girls? On it." And she flew away, without waiting for an answer. P P P P P P "Vitellary." Viridian said as calmly as she could, which was not very. "I want you to tell me why there is half a purple horse's ass in the teleporter." P P P P P P "AHH!!" An ear piercing shriek came from Golden Oaks library. "Twilight!" Shrieked Rarity, looking at the purple unicorn get swallowed up in the vortex that used to be her home. "Quick, that thing that took Twilight is still there!" Rainbow said, as she charges into the vortex. "Curse Rainbow an' her darn stubborness." Muttered Applejack. "You are hardly one to talk, Applejack." Said Rarity as she dramatically lept in. "Come on, Fluttershy!" Pinkie giggled as she grabbed a trembling, screaming Fluttershy and lept in. "Ah'm going to regret this later..." Muttered Applejack as she reluctently stepped in. P P P P P P "There are more! There are more pastel horse asses in my teleporter!" Screamed Viridian, desperately trying to keep calm. "Oh. I-is that bad?" Victoria meekly asked. "Not by itself, though if the life forms can't fit through, the teleporter will jam, and implode." Vitellary explained. Unluckily, Vermillion jumped in. "Well, I'll un-jam them." "NO" shouted everyone else. But it was too late. He grabbed a chromatic tail, and started tugging. "Vermillion, you moron!" The teleporter started crackling and Viridian's eyes widened. And then the ship started shaking. "Uh-oh." "Is everything OK?" Asked Violet, from the jukebox room. "No! We've hit some kind of interference!" Another tremor. "Something's wrong! We're going to crash!" "Everyone out! Now!" The shaking got more intense. "EVACUATE!" "Oh no!" Screamed Victoria, breaking her meek façade. "Everyone off the ship!" Vermillion hollered, making a break for the escape hatch, before getting sucked back in by the suction of the now imploding teleporter. "This shouldn't be happening!" Vitellary sobbed, yet deep down, he knew it would. And then everything went white. P P P P P P //-------------------------------------------------------// ArriVVVVVVal //-------------------------------------------------------// ArriVVVVVVal P P P P P P "Ugh, where am I?" Twilight muttered as she looked around. She was lying down on a metallic surface, and just beside her was Luna's beautiful night sky. Which was confusing, because normally that was supossed to be above her. She looked to her left and there was a bipedal figure looking into a hallway. "Well, at least we all made it out together. Right guys?" It turned around and saw that fucking horse ass. Only this time it now had a head. "HEY!" Shouted Viridian, as it looked at her. "This is all your fault!" Viridian screamed, losing her temper again. The horse looked terrified, and backed up as far into the glass wall as it could go. "I-I'm sorry..." Twilight said, before suddenly making a realisation, at the same time as the creature in front of her. "You can speak Equestrian?" "You can speak Subtitle?" They both asked this at the same time, further startling each other. Viridian shook her head. "I must be dreaming. The teleporter never imploded, and I'm going to close my eyes, and when I open them, I'll be lying down on Victoria's bunk." When Viridian opened her eyes, she was once again greeted by the window of the space station. She slammed her fist into it "NO!" Viridian screamed, realising that there was a big chance she might never see her friends again. "I'll never see my friends again..." They both muttered together. P P P P P P Viridian finally came to her senses. When she looked to her left, she saw a horse sulking in the corner and she instantly felt very guilty. 'Wow, I'm a douche.' She thought. Viridian spoke up. "Hey, uhh... I never got your name, and I don't feel comfortable calling you 'horse ass' all the time..." "T-Twilight..." She choked out. "Ok, it's a start..." Viridian muttered to herself as she bent down to eye level with Twilight. "My name's Viridian. I'm the Captain of the D.S.S. Souleye. I-" "D.S.S.?" Twilight asked, interrupting. "Dimensional Star Ship. Anyway, I was charting this new dimension when suddenly the ship started quaking. Care to explain how you got stuck in our teleporter?" Viridian gently demanded. Twilight sniffled. "My so- my brother found an orb. It felt unnatural and unsafe, so I ran some tests on it. When I did, it... it..." Twilight's throat refused to go on. "Now I'll never see my friends again. They must be so worried." "You're not the only one with friends." Viridian interjected, startling Twilight. "I have a crew. They're my closest, and only, friends. And I know they're alive." Viridian stood up and steeled herself. "And I'm going to look for them." Twilight was stunned. She didn't know what to think about this woman. One moment she was completely livid, and backing Twilight into a corner, the next she was crying, and then comforting her, and now she is marching blindly into danger. Twilight suprised herself by speaking up. "I'll go with you." She said, firmly, wiping her tears away. "Those are my friends out there, I saw them getting swallowed up too. I know they're out there somewhere." She paused to look at the only way out, and it was a death trap. Too far to teleport, especially with no ambient magic around to absorb. "But, how do we get out of this room?" Viridian grinned devilishly as she looked at her feet. P P P P P P "Well, what's your 'big secret'?" Twilight asked sarcastically. Viridian answered by jumping... and landing on the roof. "H-how?! How is that possible?" Twilight demanded, her brain not being able to grasp the concept. Viridian just look at her with a smug grin that said 'You'll never know.' She jumped back down to the floor (physics broken) and gestured to Twilight. "I'll carry you, come on." Twilight reluctantly jumped into Viridian's wide arms. 'I've always wanted a pet unicorn.' Viridian thought to herself, chuckling. As they continued into the next room, Twilight noticed a peculiar object attached to the floor. It looked like a 'C' attached to a pedestal, and it seemed to radiate necromatic magic. "What is that thing?" Asked Twilight, pointing to it. "It seems... evil, almost." "I haven't a clue." Replied Viridian. "But, we can't dabble on that. We must push onward." As vIridian walked past it, it started shimmering a faint rainbow colour that made Twilight's skin crawl. She tore her gaze away and looked up, which was a bad idea. It looked like a 3 story high drop. There was no way they were getting up there. But Viridian jumped anyway. "AGHHHHHHHHHHH!" Screamed Twilight as they plummeted toward the roof and landed harmlessly. Twilight was once again stunned. "H-how did we survive a drop like that?" Viridian looked at her feet. "I may have stolen some Long-Fall boots from an exploding science facility ran by a crazed robotic AI." "Okay..." That didn't really make much sense to Twilight. She glanced ahead and saw dancing stop signs floating up and down. She rubbed her eyes, and they were still there. 'This place just gets weirder and weirder...' Twilight thought to herself, shaking her head. P P P P P P After they made it past the stop signs, they were met with 2 paths; up or down. They decided it would be best to go down first. As they fell, Twilight felt a familiar feeling, a pounding in her head, the same feeling she got when Spike gave her that orb to study. 'I hope he's alright...' "Do you know what this thing is, Twilight?" Viridian asked, snapping Twilight out of her stupor. Twilight's gaze slowly drifted to where Viridian was pointing, and her eyes widened as she realised what it was. "It's an orb!" Twilight stopped as she realised she needed a better name for it. 'Shiny Trinket' would do for now. "You mean that thing that got you jammed in my teleporter?" Viridian slowly asked. Twilight slowly nodded. "Then we better grab it. It might be nice to study, and Victoria loves studying shiny things. I hope she's alright..." Viridian trailed off. Twilight steeled herself. This shiny trinket was giving off enough magic that she might be able to reverse gravity, if only for a few seconds. She lept into the air, lit her horn... and fell into the pit of spikes. "Twilight?" Asked Viridian, looking into the spikes and fearing the worst. She heard a 'vroom' sound, and behind her was Twilight, looking dazed and confused. "Did I... just die?"
