Jet Black. Dark grey coat, midnight black mane, pegasus. He's above average. Working with a collective of ponies all working towards that thing in the sky. It's a big black dot most of the time. The otehr small amount, it's a brass beauty. but what is it? A satellite perhaps? Maybe a solid metal asteroid? Well. Mother Nature doesn't build anythign with straight lines.
Jet hurried from panel to panel, four each sitting on the inside of an obelisk. There were foru obelisks, one with each the specific panel he continued to tinker with. He had been on to something for a long while now, working as eh loved to. Start from the end, and work backwards until you know what to do.
As he flitted towards the main panel, it through out an explosion of sparks,a nd he shielded himself until it stopped, jumping as it popped once more.
"Uh, jet, you sure you should-"
"I don't even have a PhD like you do, I shouldn't have even been told about this. Yet, why do you think I am here?"
Jet reached his hoof into the jumble of cables that lay exposed inside the obelisk and the mare standing beside him looked to the side in thought. He yanked on something and the obelisk became aligth with white ligth, following the other three as the room sounded a climbing pitched noise.
"Thats why! Because don't matter if even oyu have training. You and Ib oth have no idea whats happening."
He shoved his hoof a bit deeper then pulled it free, holding a broken glass object. He shrugged and tossed it to the side, the broken piece becoming nothing but a mess along with the three others.
"Are you sure you should be-"
"Rose, I ahve no idea."
"But...maybe we should try nto to break-"
"We have no idea what we're doing, and so far, I'm breakign these things to make sort of...bypasses. They work, and it seems I'mg etting closer."
Jet turned to the panel directly behind him at the other side of the pad, and as he ran into the middle, he disappeared in a jolt of electricity.
The amre stared at teh center of the platform, then behind her, then back, "...Jet?"
As Jet came to a stop at the second panel, he stopped, seeing that it was covered. Unlike how he had previously removed the panel. It even had wires hanging out everywhere.
"rose...?", he called, "Rose.", he turned around.
The mare had disappeared. As he walked back to peer around the obelisk, he watched as it spewed out wires like it had been placed as before.
"Jet! you're...Halfway in a bolt of electricity...", Rose pointed out.
"What?", he looked at his lower half, "Oh...Gone. Huh...Looks like a cool way to transport oneself. Uhm...there is something on the other side..."
"Wait, theres-"
Jet hurried back through, taking note of the untouched technology that surrounded him. Same architecture that he had been takign apart moments ago. He hurried back to Rose, and nearly collided with her.
"Oh, Rose. Right now, I think it would not be a good idea to go through yourself. I have iffy feelings about this thing, and I will see about the place...on the other side."
"What does it look like?"
"Oh, same thign as this room. If it's really the satellite, we need to get some other ponies down here."
"Why do you want me to stay here?"
Jet looked at the center of the pad where he had returned from, "It feels like electricity. High voltage. Every one of the four times I went through, it felt like more than twice of what a lightning bolt puts through your body. If thats true, then you would...become charred pony."
"Oh, alright then, well, if you think you can do it on your own, then please, go at it, jsut...do not even otuch anything else. You've not only left a mess here, but you butchered the conduits..."
"Noted. I won't take apart the ship's computers. Only the doors."
"Hey wait!", she protested.
It was too late though, Jet had jumped back through.
"Jet, you are one annoying hay stack."
"I can still hear and speak to you."
"Oh horse apples...", she swore.
Jet hurried out of the room and came to a halt just outside the first door, peering out of the massive glass window that spanned the entirety of the large room. Despite the many aesthetic objects below his sights, he locked his eyes on the sun and Equus both. A combination of the star in the sky, and the beautiful green white and blue object that sat right next to it, much larger, much more beautiful. Like looking at a rock made of emeralds and sapphires, and a stone that shone golden.
Rose.", he called out.
"Jet?"
"I think I should get that teleporter working correctly first."
"Why is that? Is somethingw rong? Are you stuck?"
"No. Just that this is the msot beautiful sight I have ever seen."
"Are you on the- Ack!"
Rose jumped back as Jet made it back through.
"Yes, it's the satelltie, but right now, we desperately need to get that teleporter up and running correctly."
"Why?"
Jet hurried to one of the consoles, "Because I want to show everypony what If ound, what I did."
