//-------------------------------------------------------// A Crusader, a Pony, and a Sword -by The_Imperial_Kaiser- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Pagan Shrine //-------------------------------------------------------// The Pagan Shrine Its been several years since the end of the First Crusade,many of the crusaders have returned home from the deserts of the Holy Land. The same could be said of Sir Friederick. He was a member of the Teutonic Knights,and the rank of RitterBruder. Shortly after the crusade he had returned to his home in the Holy Roman Empire. Before the crusade he was a retired knight who lived in the German state of Saxony, which he lived peacefully until the Crusade began to set off. When the Crusade set off he quickly joined up with some of the German crusaders heading to the holy land. Prior to the Crusade he was not a radical Catholic, he believed that he wouldn't bother with others if they didn't bother with his. This began to change when priests began to preach about the Islamic atrocities towards Christian pilgrims, this angered Friederick, so he joined up on the crusade. He traveled with the German Crusaders and he did his part in the crusade, he fought at battles such as: the Siege of Nicaea,the Battle of Dorylaeum,the Siege of Antioch, and the Siege of Jerusalem. After the Christian victory he stayed at the Hospitaller Quarter in Jerusalem, Until some of the German Knights began to form the Teutonic Knights, which He joined. He Went back to Europe after the crusade to serve the Teutonic Order in Europe. He resided in their chapter house in Frankfurt. Friederick was one of the Ritter charged with locating and destroying Pagan shrines. This new mission was no exception, It was a Pagan Shrine he was going to tear down in the wilderness outside Frankfurt. "Damned Faithless Dogs." Sir Friederick exclaimed pulling down one of the large stones to the shrine. He has been doing this for several hours and is starting to get bored. He looked over to the main part of the shrine. "Finally just one more part and ill be done." He walked over to it and pulled out some rope, he Tied it to the large stone and pulled it down, as it fell it revealed a hidden cave. "Great more work!" he exclaimed in anger, he had been out there all day he just wanted to get home. He light a torch and entered the cave. He walked down the dark passage,he almost tripped over the skeletal remains of an unlucky adventurer, he knelt down at the remains, they were wearing some sort of armor he had only seen described in books and he knew exactly what nation wore them,The Roman Empire. He searched through a pack that lied with the remains and he found a journal, It read, "These damned Germanian Barbarians just have to keep building these false temples, and who's the one who has to tear them down me!" Friederick put the book into his bag and continued deeper into the cave. He stopped dead in his tracks when he came across the main room of the Temple,and what he saw there was amazing. In the center of the room sat a large ball of glowing mass. He placed the torch in a torch holder and approached the sphere. He stood right in front of it and he prepared to reach out hi hand to it. He placed his hand on the outer part of the ball he then, seeing that it did not bring him any harm, drew his sword and shield and put his entire body into the sphere, he was then overwelmed with a jolt of energy, and then he blacked out. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Srange new Land //-------------------------------------------------------// A Srange new Land Sir Friederick awoke in an open field blanketed with snow. He called his horse in hopes that it was somewere nearby, nothing came. He then put away his sword and slung his shield around his back and started to walk in a direction hopeing he might meet someone. He walked for about an hour until he stopped on top of a hill and saw something that surprised him. It was a large city of chrystal, he wondered who could have built it, he had never seen anything like it. Either way he decided that perhaps someone there could tell him were he was, so he continued towards the city. when he got to the outskirts of the city there was a large barrier of energy that he passed through without any give. Princess Candence walked back and forth in her throne room, when Twilight walked up and asked her, "Whats wrong Cadence, has Sombra attacked again?" Cadence looked at her and responded, "I think something Sombra might have sent has breached the barrier." "Well were at me and my friends can go and check it out." she responded to Cadence ready to help in any way "Near the southern part of the city." She said "And Twilight be careful." Twilight nodded her ehad and left the room Friederick looked around and he found that there was something keeping the snow from falling inside the barrier. He saw what he described as the Keep of the city. He started walking towards it, not passing anyone. "I hope whoever inhabits this city isnt an enemy of the Teutonic Order." he said continuing to walk. "Stop Right there!" a voiced yelled at him, he looked around seeing no one but six colorful ponies standing in front of him. he ignored it and continued to walk forward, Then it came again "I said Stop!" Finally getting angry he yelled back "Who the hell said that!" "I did!" said the purple pony. "Did you just speak!?" He yelled surprised. "Of coure she did!" said a Rainbow colored pony that seemed to have wings. "What kind of dark magic is this!" he said looking at the different ponies "Why do you have horns a..and wings!" "Shes a Unicorn and I'm a pegasus just what are you?!" The Rainbow Pegasus Demanded "What the hell do you think I am..A Human of course!" He said begining to grip his sword's handle "A human, How is that possible there havn't been humans in Equestria for thousands of years?!" The Purple unicorn asked "Well you dont look much like a human." said the Rainbow Pegasus being sarcastic "You look more like a robot with all that metal on you." "My apologies." He said removing his helmet "Is this better?" he asked with his helmet off and he held it at his side. //-------------------------------------------------------// Small Colorful Horses //-------------------------------------------------------// Small Colorful Horses Sir Friedrick looks suspiciously at the ponies around him, they were being kind enough to lead him to their leader,he still didn't understand how this was even possible. They were passing through some sort of a fair, but the only thing he saw that looked familiar was the jousts. As they walked through the crowds his height and his armaments made some of the ponies back away from them as they passed. They had reached the Castle of the city and they stood in a plaza under it, Friedrick didn't like it, he had the feeling that it would collapse any second, but he didn't show his fear to any of the ponies he didn't want to show weakness. he looked to the center of the plaza there sat a heart made out of Crystal. He looked to one of the ponies and asked "What is that over there?" The small orange one with a hat replied "That theres the Crystal Heart its for the Crysatl Fair." she then continued walking and Friedrick followed. They continued up the Tower until they entered a large throne room. Were two other ponies stood. "So this is the one who penitrated our barrier." The male white pony said approaching him "What is your name?" He asked "Sir Friederick of the Teutonic Order." He Replied "Well that;s some title, my name is Shining Armor and that over there is my wife Candance ad of course youve already met, My sister Twilight and her friends." "Yes Indeed I have." Friederick said looking around the room "So..Um...where are you from?" "I am from Saxony, The Holy Roman Empire." "Never heard of that..." "I can say the same for this, place." Friederick Replied a little annoyed Then Cadence let out a small yelp of pain. The ponies rushed over to her to see what was wrong except for Friederick who stayed in place. She looked at them and said "Sombra is trying to Break through again..." "Who is this Sombra?" Friederick asked, a little curious. "He is the previous king of the Crystal Empire, and hes trying to reclaim the throne." "An empire with a king." Friederick said a little confused. "I have never heard of such." "Well however you do your leader were you come from is your business, for now we have to go and stop him." Said Twilight and she and her friends were heading to the door. "May I come as well?" asked Friederick, "You dont look much like soldiers." "Fine you can come, follow us." Replied Twilight
