  Chapter 4: Leave it all again

I woke up before anyone else in the hospital, it was currently 2:00am, and I quietly put on my armor and grabbed my weapons and gear. I turned my head towards twilight before sneaking out the window "I am sorry, I can't stay here." I whispered and I climbed onto the roof.

I looked around and spotted my house. I quickly got there and grabbed a few things, I stopped at my helmet, It had a small area missing from were my eye would be located. I ran my hand over my left eye and felt a scar under it. I left my helmet but detached the Kuwashii visor from it. I grabbed a black hood and cloak, and I pulled the hood over my face to hide my eyes.

I looked outside and it seemed that I spent 3 hours getting home and grabbing a few items. I got my pack and walked out the door, I started to leave for the Everfree forest. As I walked, I saw the craters from the fight and damaged buildings.

I was walking over a bridge that led out of town, but I was stopped by Applejack. "Were ya' goin' Dunmore? I thought you were in the hospital"

I turned to her and gave a sigh "I can't stay here; I am too much of a danger to the innocents who live here. If I was responsible for the death of any innocents again, I would never forgive my self. So I am leaving, don't fallow me." I turned back to walk away and I could hear that Applejack started to fallow me.

"I said don't fallow me. Don't make me force you not to" I pulled out a flash-bang grenade; I turned to face her again.

"Dunmore, ya' don't have to leave. If it because those Changelings attack, then ya betta' know they attack anypony because that's what they do. It ain't ya' fault" I could hear the reassurance in her voice.

I just turned back and continued to walk. "I am leaving, and nothing will stop me."

Applejack just walked off after mumbling something under her breath.

I continued to walk, as I walked, a storm started to form above and it began to pour. I walked on the wet dirt path out of town. It became dark and lightning arced across the sky.

As I approached the forest, I heard a voice call my name. I stopped and turned to see who it was. It was Twilight, she was running over. Most likely to try and stop me from leaving.

"Dunmore! Wait!" She continued to run towards me, but I turned and continued my walk into the forest.

"Dunmore! Stop! Please!" She called my name again and I stopped. I turned to face Twilight; she was in front of me, out of breath.

"Why do you wish me to stay? I am a danger to the ponies here. I should not stay" I pulled back my hood and the rain hit my face.

"No Dunmore, you're not a danger. Just stay, you're not the reason those Changelings attacked." She said between breaths.

I became annoyed and began to yell "No! I am at fault for them attacking. I started to remember what happened, when I was draining Chrysalis of her powers, I viewed her memories and she ordered the attack to acquire my powers. She knew that I had secrets. I am at fault for all that damage! I am leaving so no innocents will get injured!" I turned to walk away but she stopped me with a wall of magic. I easily broke it down with a swing of my sword.

"Stop trying to stop me! I am leaving! You can't stop me!" I glared at twilight and my face contorted in anger.

"Just stop! I am going, I will never return! and I will never be seen or heard from again! I never want to see Ponyville ever again! To me, this is an important place to ponies that live here. I will not see it destroyed because of me!" I shoved Twilight to the ground and I ran off into the forest.

She was crying as I left, loosing a friend could be tough on a person, or in this matter, a pony.  I started to cry at the time. As a soldier, I lost friends to war. I lost most emotions, becoming a ghost among my fellow soldiers. I walked into the forest, never to return to Ponyville. I started to run; I started to cry after so long without the ability to do so.

I lived in the forest and stayed hidden for months. I remembered my past, how I lost parts of my emotions.

---Flashback/Dream---

I moved through the corridors with my squad behind me. There was Dylan, our demolitions expert. Drake, master assassin. Chris, Heavy weapons. And then me, I was unique. I had powers that were not biotic but something else.

We moved through the station, we where hunting down remaining part of Cerberus. This group managed to gather other groups. They called them self's 'The red scorpion' bit of a stupid name if you ask me.

We took out any hostiles along the way to the control tower of the station. When we got there I ordered my team to halt.

"Alright, here we are. Jericho, move up and place a charge on the door. Make it a shaped charge. Blast the door down this time." Jericho moved up and placed the charge.

We waited a few seconds and the door blew. We rushed in, taking out any hostiles in the room except the leader (you think about what he wares.). HVT my ass, this guy was a terrorist. I wished I could have shot him. He stood in front of what looked like some sort of portal, stargate rip-off.

"Good to see you made in Wolfgang, you have quite the reputation. You have killed many of my officers, and some where only a few days away form retirement. Oh, well. They where expendable anyway." he let out a small chuckle.

"But, you die today. No more interruptions Wolfgang." as he said this, a Nemesis soldier came from behind Jericho and slit his throat. We tried to shoot it but more came out and they killed Chris.

Me and Drake held them off before Drake was killed. I decided to take our motto 'oorah to ashes' and put it to use. I pulled a grenade out and ran after tossing it at the Nemesis soldiers. I went to tackle the leader but he dodged me and I went into the portal, but I put a hole in his head as I went though, at least I hope it went through his head.

-----Flashback/dream end----

I awoke suddenly, I looked around. I was still still my small little camp. I had a fire and I set up a wall around it using logs. I walked out side of camp to meditate and practice power control. Energy moved around me like water in the wind.

I did this for a few hours and went back inside to rest. I felt ill at the time. Hopefully no one could track my powers from my meditations. It has been 2 months since I left Ponyville. Someone would have found me by now if they were tracking me via my powers.

--Doctor and Derpy's pov (third person) ---

"Doctor, why are we going through the forest? It's really creepy. And I forgot to bring muffins." Derpy walked closely next to the doctor and kept looking around as if a Manticore was going to jump out of no where.

"Oh, it's not that creepy. It's only a forest and all. Sure there are bears, snakes, and other creatures out here. But, none of those compare to Daleks or Cyberponies. Or a weeping Pegasus. But pears are worse." The doctor continued to walk through the forest with Derpy.

He was fallowing a power signature that kept popping up it the last few weeks. He set his sonic screwdriver to fallow the power signature.

"It should be right...over....here-, wait, what I don't see any machines....strange..." The doctor examined what seemed to be a wall made of logs, covered in branches. Derpy walked over to the side and found the entrance.

"Over her Doctor! I found the entrance, but no machin--" Derpy cut herself off as she saw who was lying on a makeshift bed.  The Doctor came in and raised an eyebrow "What's this? Dunmore Wolfgang. Why is he out here?"

Dunmore quickly got up upon hearing the voices and pulled out his pistol "Oi! whose there...? I...deman...d.to know....*thud*" Dunmore fell to the ground and the Doctor rushed over to get him back on the make shift bed.

"What's wrong with him? Do you know Derpy?" The doctor scanned Dunmore over with his sonic screwdriver. "I can't find anything wrong with him, but he is the source of those power signatures where coming from" Derpy looked at Dunmore and saw that he had a few cuts and figured it out.

"Its forest flu! Look, he has a few cuts and they must have been from a plant that had poison in its thorns. I know what can fix this. The flowers needed are right outside this little camp." The doctor quickly got the flowers and brought them in.

"How do you know about this Flu and its cure?" the Doctor asked as they prepared the cure in a liquid form.

Derpy put the last of the ingredients in the bowl. "Well, Dinky got this once and I took her to the Nurse. They gave here the medicine and gave me a list of ingredients and how to make it in case she got it again. You have to know these things if you're going to raise a young filly."

The Doctor gave Derpy the bowl after heating it on the fire. "Wow, I guess any stallion to get you would be lucky" The doctor let out a soft chuckle. But Derpy did not laugh; she instead sniffed and started to cry.

"Oh, did I say something wrong?  I'm sorry if I said anything offensive." The Doctor looked around nervously.

"No Doctor, you didn't say anything. It's just.... that, who would want a mare like me? I'm a mess-up, I'm an idiot, all I do is mess things up and.....I can't do anything right." Derpy's crying intensified as she insulted on her self.

The Doctor did something that was obvious at the time, he gave Derpy a hug. Not one of 'its going to be okay' or a friendly one, but one of care and love. "No Ditzy, you're not any of those things. You're a wonderful mare and I am sure and any stallion would be lucky to be able to be with you. You're bubbly attitude, those cute eyes and your care for others." The Doctor broke the hug and looked Derpy in the eyes

"But who Doctor, who would like me that way? Who....." The Doctor leaned in to kiss Derpy and that gave here the answer she was looking for.

"Me Derpy, I would love you and I do" The Doctor sat back and smiled.

Derpy started to cry again, not of sadness, but of happiness. "Th...Thank you Doctor....." they shared a hug for a moment and they got back to cure Dunmore of the Forest Flu.

--Dunmore's pov --

I awoke in a pile of rubble and I slowly dug my way out. I was in Ponyville, but it was different, it was destroyed. Buildings were demolished and some where aflame. I moved through the streets.

As I walked forwarded, a thought came to my mind, Twilight. I ran towards her home as fast as I could. I jumped over debris and ducked under wall what had fallen.

I rammed the door to her home down and the inside was destroyed and it was burnt and parts of it were missing. I looked around and saw a purple hoof in a pile of rubble.

I fug through the rubble and found Twilight. She was not breathing, she was dead. "No...No. no! Why!?. What happened......?" I heard voices behind me and I turned around and saw shadowy figures step forwarded. It was other ponies.

"Your fault. You caused this. Why weren't you here? You did this" They kept repeating this and kept moving towards me. Their eyes empty and dead.

"No, no, no. I didn't want this. I left so this wouldn't happen...no....stay back" The lifeless ponies covered my sight and the world went black.

I was floating in darkness. I heard a voice, I recognized it. "Princess Luna?" the darkness echoed.

"Yes, it is me Dunmore; we have not talked in a long time. That dream was about to kill you, I am glad I was able to pull you out of it." Luna came into view.

"Could that happen? Is that what's going to happen if I don't go back?!" I was panicked.

"No, it was a dream caused by your fears and the Flu you have. It seems that I was able to access your dream due to your body relaxing. Time Turner and Ditzy Doo gave you some sort of medicine." Luna opened the dream back up but we where looking at it from above.

"I have come to give you a message. We need you to come to Canterlot because we have discovered in some old texts that you are an element of chaos, Fear. And even more important, and more surprising, the 7th element of Harmony, Order" Luna showed me a book. I was surprised that it had a picture of my Claymore Sword.

"Impossible, there are only 6 elements." I gave her the book.

"That is what we thought, but it is true. We looked at Star Swirl the bearded's notes and research papers and those confirmed it. We need you to come to Canterlot, or what you see here is a possible future."

I looked at the dream and thought about it. "Fine, but, I will need to be told anyway and every way that I can keep this from happening" I motioned to the dream below.

"Of coarse and you have apology's to make to a few friends. Especially Twilight Sparkle. My sister was not happy that you made her upset. I swear she is like a 2nd mother to Twilight."

I nodded and looked around "well, I understand. Get yelled at for being a complete asshole, makes sense.  So this dream will end now and I will awake in my camp?"

Luna nodded and the world became white.

----End dream sequence (these are hard to do) ---

I awoke in my camp and looked around. I noticed Ditzy and Time Turner asleep and a roll out bed mat. Cuddled up next to each other.

"I hope they didn't do anything while I was asleep. What am I thinking, Time Turner is strange but, he is not rude" I mumbled to my self as I gathered up my supplies and gear.

I woke Time Turner up. "Wake up, Its 8:00am. I got to get going. And you two can't stay here."

Turner looked around and remembered where he was. He jumped up, fixing his tie. "Terribly sorry about that, Derpy said we had to stay in case the medicine didn't work" Ditzy got up and stretched.

"Morning, oh, I see the medicine worked!" she smiled and jumped on Turners back. "Come on Doctor, you promised me muffins after this"

Turner sighed    "Right, that I did." He gave Ditzy a quick kiss.

I raised an eyebrow at this with a plain stare (like Teal'c from Stargate) "okay, you two can make out later. I got to get to Ponyville and get a train to Canterlot. Come on Doctor." I walked out of the old camp and they fallowed. It took 6 hours to get to Ponyville, but we got there.

"Mmm....Said I was never going to come here again. I can never keep to what I say apparently." We walked into town, I had my face covered, but everyone knew who it was.

We approached the train station and told the Doctor he and Ditzy could go and do what ever they do.

I bought a ticket and waited for the Train. I waited for a bit but decided to take a seat on a bench and wait. That's when I saw her walk up onto the platform. I looked up and cursed under my breath. I was about to jump onto the rook but her voice stopped me.

"Dunmore. Why are you back?" her voice had evident anger behind it. With good reason too.

"I am going to Canterlot; The Princesses have requested my prescience. I am obligated to go, there the ones in charge."

I went over to a vending machine and popped a few bits in and got chocolate bar.

"So why come here? You said you would never come back." Twilight's voice began to have worry to it.

I looked to the other side of the station and noticed an earth-pony with a hood and cloak on. I saw a blade in his mouth.

"Twilight, don't look but there is a pony with a knife at the other end of the platform. Don't look. But keep him in your peripheral vision" Twilight did as I said.

"Now, I am going to Canterlot because they have found information that involves me. I am an element of chaos and harmony: order and fear." The strange cloaked pony started moving towards us and sat down next to me.

"How you doing Mr. Wolfgang?" He asked as he sat there.

I didn't look at him, he still had the knife. "I am fine, how are you?" Keep a normal conversation.

"I am just fine, but you won't be in a second" He pulled out the knife, stood up, and plunged it towards me. I punched him in the side of his had and swept my foot under him to knock him down. I took the knife and held it to his throat.

"Who are you and why are you trying to kill me?" I glared at him with anger.

He laughed. "Not you, her. He pointed towards Twilight, another cloaked figure was behind her, and I pulled out my pistol and put a round through his head.  I proceeded to punch the one I was holding down multiple times.

"Now, tell me. Why try and kill us, and who sent you" He spat in my face. I punched him again, knocking out a few teeth.

"Oi, fuck face. Want me to do that again? I will, and I can shatter your skull. Now tell me who do you work for?" He stayed silent; I put my free hand in front of his face and use my 'fear' powers to 'extract' the info.

To him, I became his worst nightmare. He became scared and panicked. "I...I...it...was the Lunar Republic....They want to control the land....Oh no...Don't kill me....PLEASE!!"

I punched him again and that knocked him unconscious. The police got to the station and the train arrived as well. Convenient.  The police took the unconscious one away and others took the dead one away.

"Time to go, come on Twilight. I'm guessing the others are coming too?" The other 5 came out and fallowed us onto the train.

Rainbow Dash was the first to speak "how do you know we were there?"

I laughed "Well, the cops didn't get here that fast without someone telling them. Right?"

We continued to talk on the way to Canterlot. That hardest pony to talk to was Twilight.

"Twilight. I am sorry for the day I left. I promised to give explanation about my powers but I, I thought about what would happen if I stayed in town. You got to understand, I didn't want to hurt anyone. It's just that when I make a promise, no matter what I do, others get hurt. I just didn't want to see Ponyville destroyed because of me. But, now I will make a new promise. No matter what happens. I don't care if the ruler of hell comes to stop me. I will always be there to help. And I make this promise to everyone. I will be there to help. And damn me to hell if I am not." I let out a sigh and leaned back into my chair.

"Thank you Dunmore, for coming back. I thought we would never see you again. And plus, you still owe me for helping you out on the week you got here." They all laughed.

I face palmed "Really, Really? Oh come on. Now I got debt....damn it...." I joined in on the laughing session.

We discussed what I missed and about how I lived in the forest. Rainbow kept referencing 'Daring do' books to the stories I told about my survival in the forest. I had to assure Fluttershy, that I did not hurt any animals while I was in the forest.

Rarity kept saying stuff about how bad it can be out there and how it could ruin ones looks.

The train got to Canterlot after a while and we got off. "Alright, let's get to the castle and learn some things. Allons-y!"
