All in good time (Part 2)

I was back.
Back in Canterlot to where I was just minutes ago.

“Right, so I should probably explain the whole situation to you. I need, your help. Somepony is kidnapping ponies and draining their life energy. What they’re doing that for I don’t know BUT, we need to stop them ”

He sighs and his tone of voice turns sad and low.

“Every pony that has had their life drained ends up dead afterwards… Too many have died already…”

“That’s horrible…” I say sadly.

“Anyway, we need to stop whoever is doing this, and by doing so; I think will ultimately save Equestria In the process.”

It took me a minute to process this information, but then a light bulb went off in my head.

“Hang on a minute, how am I supposed to help? I don’t even know what we’re doing”
I sighed.
I had no idea what I was getting into, but what if I don’t help him?
Would Equestria be in danger?
And would it be my fault?
What about Princess Celestia?
Couldn’t she stop this?

“I know what you’re thinking. No, Princess Celestia has no idea what’s going on. If she did, she would have done something by now, no?”

I sighed.
What have I gotten myself into?

“Look. It could have been someone else. If not you, then the next pony I happened to run into. You could have said ‘No. I don’t want to help you. Take me back’ but you didn’t, and that tells me that you want to. Am I right?”

I don’t answer, obviously he takes my silence as a confirmation of his deduction and he speaks out again.

“Just to be sure, I don’t want to force you to do anything. It’ll be tough, and it will be dangerous. But, I can promise you one thing”

He gives me a look of determination and assurance.

“I, WILL protect you”

“Alright, I’ll help you; just tell me what to do.”

He beams a smile as bright as the sun.

“Alright! Well, right now all you have to do is follow me, but first we need to get to the present time so we can do the ‘saving the universe’ part of things”

“Right. Okay. Lead the way then Doctor.”

“Alrighty doo then”

The Doctor had pulled a lever, and the TARDIS had made the same noise as before.
In a manner of seconds the noise had stopped.
We were at our destination.
