Star wars: The forbidden sector
Jedi Master Jindo was once again attending a dispute between colonies near the unknown regions.
"Now start again, this time without the insults and threats" Jindo calmly said
"Well this nerf her.. i mean this man here is trying to claim this part of the planet as his, WHEN I CLEARLY OWN IT!" The farmer spat out
" This became my land when this low life failed to pay his debt to me for the use of MY equipment" the bloated man claimed. Jindo was told their names sometime ago but he soon forgot them. This was the usual complaints he gets every time he goes through systems like these, once someone hears of a Jedi Master nearby everyone wants them to solve this minor problem or help someone with a beast problem. Sometimes Jindo dislikes the part of the Jedi code where he has to help everyone no matter the issue, it seems like the local law enforcers are non existent when he arrives. All he wanted to do was quickly grab some fuel before he went to into the unknown regions to check out a rumor that a dialect Sith ship that was found floating around. Usually these type of things would be handled by the republic forces, but the last expedition mysteriously disappeared with the last transmission stating that "this isn't Rakata its *static* SOMEONE HELP IT'S ALMOST HAS ME! *static*"
Snapped out of his thoughts to the farmer grabbing the bloated ones shirt " STOP IT!" Jindo yelled over the scuffing and useless banter of noises "you two obviously need to work on you people skills so in order to sort this issue out i am going to cancel the debt and make you two partners, sharing the profits 50/50 and allow each other to use all available equipment and costs" both of them looked stun at this and as guess the bloated man was the first to start spluttering and stammering "this decision is final, good day" and with that Jindo headed back to his ship. The ship was a corellian scout class light corvette, designed like the defender class ship used in the great cold war, this ship was outfitted with increased speed and lighter armor for more maneuverability. It also has a state of the art planet scanner which allows the user to scan a planet for any excessive power sources or significant life on it. Jindo took off and didn't look back, just glad to be finally heading to his destination.
Jacob was walking in a forest. He doesn't usually walk in the forest this late at night but his cat got out and he knew it would be stupid enough to get itself stuck in a tree or something. "god damn it kitty i got better things to do.." that is when a sharp pain hit his leg, turning around he discovered that his cat thought it would be the best idea to attack his leg. Picking his cat up, Jacob started walking back home to the warm fire.
About half way back to his house Jacob's torch ran out of battery, the sudden flickering made his cat freak out and run away into the darkness. sighing at his misfortune he step forward into the darkness. He was suddenly hit with a wave of vertigo and a the stench of decay, looking down Jacob saw this strange pile of clothes and bones. Bending over to exhume his guts, he was flung through the air. Or at least that's what it felt like. Looking up to see if he was moving or not, he found out the darkness was all around and seemed to be getting smaller and tighter, Panic setting in he thrashed and kicked until his head hit this cold metallic substance and then Jacob blacked out.
Jindo's ship approached the broken down ship. After a quick scan he discovered that the life support systems were working, the gravity was also up and running. "At least the discovery team got them up and running before they vanished, it makes my job easier" Jindo said to himself. His scanner also picked up a higher than usual energy output from the reactor, the fact the ship wasn't even fully operational, this perked his interest to a whole new level.
Checking his navigational chart for his location he noticed that he was close to the "death veil". The death veil is a local mythology in which any ship that goes past this certain point in the unknown region, every crew member gets the "life sucked out of them" and droids mysteriously deactivate or go haywire. The republic has sent the occasional probe into the area only to have it not return, Republic scientists publicly stated that it is just a electrical phenomena created by a nearby system. Although more privately the scientists are baffled and are still trying to find a way to explain it.
With that happy thought, Jindo set his ship to land in the docks next to the archaeologists ships. Leaving his ship he immediately felt ill at ease, using the force to try and sense what was causing it. But the force was strangely quiet. The docking bay looked untouched by battle and everything looked to be in place. Except of course the distinct lacking of fighters or defense turrets, this stuck Jindo as odd since if this was a Sith warship, this docking bay would be filled with them. deciding to start his search for what happened to the discovery team, Master Jindo headed towards their camp. The camp looked normal enough, they had their tents set up neatly with the occasional piece of equipment scatter about or bits of salvage they would've found laying around. Finding the datapad he was looking for he turned it on, in hopes to discover what went wrong.

Putting down the datapad, Jedi master Jindo decided to bypass the reactor and head straight to the device the doctor was talking about in his logs. Walking down the corridor towards the door to the device, Jindo found the bodies of three scientists, kneeling down to get a closer look Jindo discovered that they died while running. Taking a closer look he found no external wounds or signs of struggle, it just looked like their bodies stopped working and died. Standing up and now more cautionary, Jindo proceeded to open the door, expecting to see bodies scattered everywhere all he saw was a strange creature lying on the floor.
Jacob felt as if he had been a rattle for a very angry giant, his head hurt, his ears were filled with the sound of a whirring noise and his body felt as light as a feather. Wiggling his toes to see if they were still there his ears ceased to hear just whining and heard a sound of shuffling. Remembering he was in a forest he became ready to fight off a bear or wolf, moving his head slowly, Jacob turned to the noise and slowly open his eyes to behold a sight most unsuspecting. " JESUS CHRIST!" Jacob went to jump off the bed he was on and immediately regretted it, falling forward towards the ground only to have himself caught by the strange creature. The creature put him back on the bed. Sitting back Jacob took a look at the creature properly. The creature was green and wore a brownish robe with a white tunic, It looked completely human, besides the fact his arms and legs were lankier than most humans and he was tall, around 6'3". His face, Jacob decided it must be male from the way it looked, was elf like, in the sense that is was sharp and angular, and his eyes were slightly slanted with a goldish-bronze colour.
While Jacob was inspecting Jindo, Master Jindo was studying the strange creature before him, it was stockier and more dense looking than himself and his skin was a weird pinkish hue. When Jindo caught the creature he struggled to lift him, it felt heavier than it looked. The creature looked like it settled down abit so Jindo tried to see if it was smart, " who are you?" Jindo asked.
The pink creature to cocked its head to the side and looked very confused, "so it does have some sort of communication skills, but how developed are they?" Jindo thought to himself.
Talking very slowly and using hand movements Jindo said " I. am. Jin-do. Who. are. you?" all the while pointing to himself then to the creature.
The creature seemed to understand that and pointed at Jindo saying "Jindo" then to himself, talking slowly as well " me. Jac-ob."
Jacob, grateful the green man called "Jindo" was capable of communication, looking at his face, Jacob saw that Jindo was just as pleased. The language Jindo spoke resembled something like Latin, in which Jacob knew a few phrases " Where am i?" Jacob asked in an attempt at latin.
Jindo replied " tu vero medici mea navis lauream"
Jacob translated some of those words in his head to " you are on me naval vessel, medical bay." he nodded his understanding and used one of his few phases he knows to speak " i don't speak Latin well" Jacob said, or hoped he did.
To Jindo, when Jacob said he did speak Latin, became curious. He was curious because the language he was speaking was galactic basic. Seeing that Jacob was exhausted Jindo decided to leave him be.
