New in Ponyville

The moon was shining through the horizon. The sound of wings flapping could be heard in a distance. A pair of pegasi were flying in the night sky. There was a little one, with a blue coat and striped white and blueish mane. The bigger one( who is obviously older ) also has a blue coat but orange mane.

"Brother, we've been flying for days," the young colt complained. His wings has been sore from constant flying.

"I know Blaze, but we're almost there," the bigger pony replied."In fact, here we are now."

Ahead of them lies Ponyville, not too big nor small. The cobblestone streets seemed empty and the lights of houses don't shone. Indicating everypony is asleep.

The brotherly duo landed on the cobblestone road. Then trotted along the path to find an local inn.

As they look for an inn. The vast cobblestone road is empty as always. Eventually, they found an inn, 'The Pony Inn'. Ironic name if you ask me.

They galloped vigorously to the entrance. Tired from days of flying with no rest. They finally manage to go to this inn.

They approach the door, "Come on Tanken, open the door!" Blaze groaned.

Tanken opened the door. Seeing a lobby with luxurious chairs scattered in the middle and a desk with a brown mare who was busy filing her hoof. Tanken  approached the desk.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"Um.....yes. Room for two please," Tanken answered, handing over twenty bits.

The mare then handed a key to Tanken. " Second floor, first door on the left," she said. "By the way. Names Scratch Pad, what's yours?"

"Tanken," he replied.

"Sounds like an very unusual name," Scratch Pad said. Giving Tanken a weird look, which made him uncomfortable.

"Can we go to sleep now!!!" Blaze whined.

Tanken stifled a chuckle, " Fine."

Tanken and Blaze trotted up the stairs. Tanken opened the door, revealing a red bunk bed with a  window that includes snow white curtains.

Tanken yawned, "Well Blaze, let's hit the hay."

Both of the brothers went to the mattress. Blaze took top bunk while Tanken took bottom.

"Good night big bro," Blaze said.

Tanken replied."Good night too Blaze."They then went to their slumber.

IN TANKEN'S DREAM

"GET DOWN!"

"What?"

"Get down! We're being attacked!"

Tanken was in the middle of Montimare Bay. Startled by a sudden attack by Germaneigh. Air raid alarms could be heard.

As he stared at shock at a large airship. It was dull grey all over, save for a few spots. Cannons placed in every side. It was bombarding the once beautiful city.

Blaze was beside Tanken doing a synchronized expression. Both standing with dilated eyes. A grey stallion that was also beside them went to the brothers, then slapped them to their senses.

"I said get down now!!!"

Both brothers gotten down as ordered. Just in time when a cannon ball landed a dozen feet away. As it landed, large shrapnel pieces went to random places. The brothers weren't hurt, but the unlucky grey pony has a shrapnel in between his eyes.

Both Tanken and Blaze got up to their hooves. Their fur was filthy due to the attack. Blood was dripping from the minor wounds from earlier.

Airships continued the Bombardment. Marching was heard from a distance. Followed by screams and a occasional boom. Germans are getting close.

The duo stopped."Blaze, keep running. I'll hold them off," Tanken said. Blaze then ran, tears form in his eyes knowing his brother might not survive holding off Germans. Tanken stood in a fighting stance. A trooper ran to him when he notice the blue pegasus but was soon disarmed as Tanken preformed a roundhouse to the head, knocking the trooper unconscious. He went back to a stance and picked up a dagger.More soldiers showed up, surrounding him. Tanken wasn't intimidated, instead he just laughed maniacally,"Come and get me motherbuckers!!!"

END OF DREAM

Tanken slowly opened his eyes. The afternoon sun beamed at his upper torso. He and Blaze have to look around town. Although, Blaze is still asleep. Tanken lazily got up and then shuffled to Blaze, and nudge him softly."Hey Blaze, wake up," he said. But Blaze replied with a grunt.

Tanken was now annoyed by Blaze's response.Sure, he was sleepy from traveling but he only paid for one night for this room. Tanken continued to nudge Blaze. After a few minutes he  shouted,"Blaze, get your flank off the bed now!!!"

Blaze then jumped up and hit his head on the ceiling.Blaze then glared at Tanken, but he just smile,"Blaze, pack your bags. We're going to look around this town."

They then packed their bags and head out. Going down the stairs and trotted out of the lobby. The mare by the name'Scratch Pad' wave a hoof goodbye at them.

Now outside, Tanken and Blaze walked side by side. Seeing the road now full of ponies."Well big bro," Blaze enthusiastically said." Let's look around and meet new ponies."

They trotted through the path. Looking around and seeing many unusual buildings that would be considered weird. Like that building made of sweets and a huge tree carved out into a house with a sign saying "Library". They continued the walk through the whole town. A pink blur zoom to them then stop. The  blur was a pink earth pony mare with poofy hair that has a darker hue of pink,"HiI'mPinkiePiewhat'syourname." Tanken was confused, It took him a few seconds to find out what she was saying. He was about to answer but was interrupted by the pink mare,"Youmustbenewintown.ooooohhhhh.Ishouldthrowyouawelcometoponyvilleparty!"

The mare then zoomed off. Tanken and Blaze confused of what just happen."Tanken what happen?" Blaze questioned.

"I don't know," Tanken answered.
