Chapter 4: More Grim and Flowers

"Love is too short to wait on someone to love you the way you love them." -Anonymous

[Note: I have not proofread this due to the circumstances I have. If you see this gone, I have worked on it.]

Grimsilver was quiet for a few seconds before the wooden door opened for the doctor.

A sliver-haired man by the name of Grimsilver peered behind the door before fully opening up for Smith.

"So, it's only you." Grimsilver said.

"Gee, how observant..." Smith said as Grimsilver motioned him in.

Smith walked through the doorway and found himself in a very shabby room. The wood was rotting and it smelled sour. A simple light bulb above Smith's head flickered time to time. The sound of the door closing and locking was heard as Smith heard a greeting.

"Hi, Doctor Smith!" a very baritone cheerful voice greeted.

A large buff man sat on a wooden stool with many bandages on his face. He held a bag of ice to his wound as he waved. It was Buffy, strong, but not the brightest.

"Hi Buffy!" Smith said with a warm smile.

He then waved.

"Hey, don't warm up to him." Grimsilver barked towards Smith.

"Grimsilver, can I have it now?" Buffy asked.

Grimsilver groaned and facepalmed as Smith looked at him questionably.

"Here." the silver-haired douche said, fishing out a lollipop from his pockets.

Grimsilver threw the sweet treat towards Buffy as his face lit up.

"Yay!" Buffy said as his large hands grabbed the red lollipop.

He immediately unwrapped the sweet treat and stuck it into his mouth.

"That dumb shit can't even put on band-aids himself..." Grimsilver muttered.

"Hey, lighten up, Grimsilver." Smith said he readjusted his glasses. "He's pretty useful, right?"

"Sometimes." Grimsilver said, sighing a bit. "But he's just like a kid hyped up on steroids and muscle. You can't reason with him at all."

The two looked at the strange man before Grimsilver spoke up.

"Buffy, go to your room." he said as Buffy looked towards them.

"Why?" he asked.

"Doctor Smith and I need to talk about business." Grimsilver replied. "It would bore you."

"What's 'bore'?"

Grimsilver facepalmed as Smith began to snicker. It was so amusing to watch them.

"L-Look, I'll read you a bed time story if you go..." Grimsilver said, clearly flustered.

"Really?" Buffy asked as he got up. "Okay!"

Within moments he was gone and entered another room. Smith was laughing at what Grimsilver had to deal with everyday.

"Ah-ha-ha!" Smith said, bent over by laughing so hard. "T-T-That's just fucking hilarious!"

He wiped a tear away from the laughter as Grimsilver started to boil from anger.

"You read him a book?!" Smith asked as he continued to laugh. "I thought you just tolerated him! Not go to his every need!"

"Shut your mouth!!" Grimsliver barked in anger. "Anyway, how is she?"

Smith continued to laugh, but it soon turned into a small chuckle and a cough.

"Uh, who?" Smith asked as his fingers pushed his glasses up from his nose.

"You know who!" Grimsilver said, pointing a finger up at the doctor.

"Ah, Ms. Fluttershy?" Smith asked. "She's fine."

"And what's his name?" Grimsilver asked.

"That is something I don't know, Grimsilver." Smith said, shrugging his shoulders. "Ms. Fluttershy isn't that talkative you know."

"Well, bring me his name!!" Grimsilver barked.

"Consider it done." Smith said coolly. "But you know, that might cost extra..."

"I don't give a fuck! When they come, you'll get your money!!"

"Alright then..." Smith said as he stuck his hand inside his vest pocket. "And like you asked... I got it."

A glass vial full of red liquid was in between Smith's fingers. With a simple toss, Grimsilver grabbed it with greedy eyes.

"You know... I'm nice. I'll double your reward." Grimsilver said as he popped the cork off.

"Why, thank you!" Smith said.

He soon had a puzzled look on his face why Grimsilver wanted the liquid in the first place.

"Wait, what are you going to do with it?" Smith asked as he straightened his vest.

Grimsilver took the vial to his lips as Smith watched in shock.

"I-I-I, what are you doing?!" Smith asked as the red liquid poured into Grimsilver's mouth.

The silver haired man threw the glass vial onto the ground, shattering it into many tiny pieces.

"Ooh, the taste of iron!!" he said proudly as he licked his lips.

"Wh-why the hell would you drink the blood?!" Smith exclaimed in a disgusted tone.

He readjusted his glasses as Grimsilver spoke up.

"It is my ancestor's tradition!!" Grimsilver exclaimed proudly. By being the descendants of the mighty warriors of the darkness, I must follow it!!"

Smith rolled his eyes and sighed.

"I call bullshit." he muttered to himself as he readjusted his glasses.

Grimsilver talked on, ignoring Smith's comment. He was too full of pride to even give heed to insults.

"By drinking the blood of my love, I've made a vow for her to be mine!!" Grimsilver said with an evil smirk.

He grinned, showing the little bits of blood still on his pearly white teeth.

Smith shuddered as Grimsilver ranted on.

"So, Smith..." Grimsilver said, shooting a look towards the doctor.

"Uh, what?" Smith asked, trying to keep composure.

The arrogant and cocky asshole threw a vial glass towards Smith, who caught it with expertise. Thick red liquid flowed in the glass as Grimsilver continued.

"Since I made the vow, my lover shall do the same! Put it in the food she'll eat! And then she'll call my name!"

"Bu-But Grimsilver..." Smith stuttered. "If I'm caught doing that, I might be imprisoned..."

"Which is why I'm going to quadruple your reward." Grimsilver said. "But I'll only give you one choice."

Smith started to shake a bit as he readjusted his glasses again.

"What are you speaking of?" the doctor asked as the silver haired man walked around him.

"Do what I told you, and you'll be fine." Grimsilver said, lifting a finger up. "But if you don't you'll regret it until the end of time."

"So, I-"

"Do what you are told, your life will be spared." Grimsilver interrupted. "But if you don't, your whole family shall be in despair."

Grimsilver bared his teeth, showing the blood once more.

The bright sun was now rising, breaking into the dawn. Light broke the darkness apart as it shined onto a green haired man walking through the sleepy town.

"So, the sun decided to wake up huh?" Spike asked himself as the bright sun slowly raised above the horizon. "I have a feeling it's going to be a beautiful day..."

He smiled to himself as a nearby shop door rustled open.

"Oh, Roseluck!" Spike said, waving towards her. "Good morning!!"

"Good morning Spike!" the florist replied, waving with her hand while having a pail in the other. "Why are you up so early?"

"Well, I just wanted to buy some flowers." Spike said, pointing at the beautiful white lilies that seemed to slowly open up their petals to the sun.

"Oh, do you have anything in mind?" Roseluck asked as she poured the fresh water into her flowers.

"Yes." Spike smiled. "Yes, I do."

Many hours later...

Fluttershy felt her eyes getting hit by sunlight, stirring her up from her slumber.

"Ah, good morning Fluttershy!" a female voice greeted softly. "Did you sleep well?"

"Y-yes, I did." Fluttershy mumbled as her reply.

She slowly opened her eyes to see Nurse Redheart looking down at her clipboard.

"Wow, you're recovering pretty fast Fluttershy!" the nurse said as her eyes read the information. "You can get out of here tomorrow!"

"I-I can?" Fluttershy asked a bit sleepily as she rubbed her eyes.

Lifting to her arms in a stress, she yawned loudly. Her muscles stretched from the sleep from the night before. Stretching far, a soft silky feeling was in her fingertips as they brushed against something soft. Fluttershy looked over to see magnificent white lilies along with beautiful pink roses and a delicate yellow Daylily. In a precious glass vase, Fluttershy couldn't help but stare at the assortment of the plants.

"Wh-who did this?" Fluttershy asked, pointing towards the incredible bouquets of flowers.

Nurse Redheart looked up at the flowers and smiled.

"I think Spike came in early today and set those down next to you."

"Spike did?!" Fluttershy almost exclaimed.

Nurse Redheart shook in surprise as the very shy girl exploded in a yell. Shaking it off, Nurse Redheart smiled.

"Yes, he came in as soon as the hospital opened."

Fluttershy's face went a little red as she thought about Spike doing his for her.

"Fo-for me?" Fluttershy thought to herself as she looked at the flowers next to her.

She couldn't help it but just smile.

"Fluttershy!" a voice called out from the far side of the room.

The doctor in glasses held a tray of food, carefully balancing it as Nurse Redheart rushed in to help him.

"Doctor, this is my job!" the nurse said, trying to gain control of the thin metal tray.

"No, no, Nurse, it's fine." the doctor said with a smile. "Besides, I like to experiment with other things in the hospital."

Nurse Redheart nodded, but looked a bit ashamed as the doctor in glasses set the food down on a nearby table and unfolded a small wooden stand. He set it across Fluttershy's lap as he suddenly set down the tray. Fluttershy's train of thought broke as she looked up to see the smiling doctor.

"Good morning, Miss Fluttershy." he said with a smile, readjusting his glasses.

"O-Oh, good morning, doctor." she said, getting out her trance.

She looked down at the sludgy food before the doctor turned away from her.

"And a good morning to you, nurse." he said, looking towards Nurse Redheart. "A fine afternoon we're having, aren't we?"

The nurse nodded.

"It is a beautiful afternoon, Doctor Smith." Nurse Redheart said, looking at the flowers beside Fluttershy. "Beautiful, aren't they?"

Her pretty veiled gray eyes looked towards the bouquet of flowers that were under a shield of the majestic afternoon sun. With the window open, sending in a gust of fresh air, Fluttershy took a deep breath. She stared at the gift from Spike, ignoring the food on her lap. The flowers were gently pushed as the cool air brushed against the vase, sending the smell of pollen towards her.

Doctor Smith bit his bottom lip as he stared at the food and back at the flowers.

"Yes, quite nice..." he replied, stroking his chin.

Nurse Redheart didn't notice him tensing up and continued to stare at Fluttershy's eyes, lost in the world of thinking.

"Anyway, I shall get to my duties." Nurse Redheart said, backing away from the bed. "And call my name whenever you need me, Fluttershy."

Fluttershy merely nodded, earning a smile from the nurse.

"Doctor, how about you?"

"Why, yes, they're fascinating..." he mumbled.

"Pardon?"

"My apologies, Nurse Redheart." Doctor Smith said, wiping the sweat from his brow with a handkerchief. "Just a bit hot in here..."

Nurse Redheart raised an eyebrow and looked around her.

"It's not hot at all."

"N-No, the allergies." Doctor Smith quickly said, seeming to cough weakly.

"Uh-huh..." Nurse Redheart replied as she began to walk out of the room. "You should watch out for it, doctor." she said before she crashed into something tall and tough.

*CRASH*

Nurse Redheart crashed headfirst into a figure's muscular chest. The small nurse collided with none other than Spike, who saw Nurse Redheart on the ground, rubbing her head in pian.

"Ow..." she groaned, rubbing the spot she hit.

"So-Sorry nurse!!" Spike exclaimed, his voice perking up her ears.

Spike helped Nurse Redheart up as Doctor Smith looked over to see the man on Grimsilver's list.

"So... this is him..." he thought as he readjusted his glasses.

"It-It's quite alright!!" Nurse Redheart said, grabbing onto Spike's muscular arm to help herself up.

Spike's arm was not very meaty and large, but they were rather quite slim, yet very strong. The nurse's hands couldn't quite let go of him as she finally did, a weird urge coming over to to at least touch it.

"Fluttershy... is awake." she said, looking up at Spike's wondrous green eyes and at his arm.

Spike smiled as his reply, stepping out of the way for Nurse Redheart.

Nurse Redheart stared at Spike's arm, her gaze shifting towards the lump between his legs. With a smile, she exited out the room.

"Spike!" Fluttershy whispered excitedly to herself.

He began to make his way towards her bed before a doctor in glasses stepped in his way.

"Hello there." the doctor said, his white coat buttoned up professionally, lending out a hand. "I am Doctor Smith, but please, call me Smith."

"The name is Spike." the green-haired man said, squeezing Smith's hand rather tightly in a firm handshake.

Smith on the other hand was not very muscular and almost yelped out in pain as Spike ended it. A little shorter than the doctor, Smith's hand beated in a rhythm as Spike continued to talk.

"Well Smith, nice to meet you." Spike said, giving a smile.

Fluttershy sat on her bed, staring towards the handsome green-haired male that was in the same room as her.

"Anyway, I shall leave you and Ms. Fluttershy alone." the doctor said, bowing his head.

Author's Note

Horrible end to a chapter... I know. :raritydespair:

I'm not in a Writer's Block - I'm in a Writer's Slump. I have no time to spill my ideas on the web because of school, sports, and my mother's strict technology time.

Because 9:30pm is really late.

So, I have about two notebooks full of ideas, excerpts, and other miscellaneous stuff that I need to put it out on here.

Why I'm not posting this on a blog?

I have no idea.

Actually, an idea of posting this on here is to post something little of my complaints and other things that I'll never have.

Ponies.

That's one.

Now, please excuse me while I go cry myself to sleep with that thought.
