Dreams of Love
1000 Years Later...
Previous ChapterDream's eyes fluttered open, the light was coming into the room at a straight angle, indicating it was around 5 in the afternoon.
She smiled lightly, the view from the house was pleasant.
..Wait...House?...Since when have I owned a hou-.....oh right. It was then that she realized something was hugging her gently.
She lifted her wing, and found Kaelen sleeping quietly, his breathing soft and shallow. She giggled softly, and nuzzled him, causing him to stir with a slight groan.
"Uhhh.....where am I?" He opened his eyes to find a pair of Heavenly Blue orbs staring back at him. He jerked back in shock, the new angle allowing him to see who the orbs belonged to. He smiled, "Morning."
Dream's smile increased a little, she shook her head, "No. Evening."
"Really?" He looked out the window, "....huh....."
"Yeah." She shifted her wings slightly.
".....Oh! Remember the Princesses are coming over...soon. We should get ready." He got up and walked over to his pants.
She tensed up, "Y-Yeah..."
He looked back at her, "Hey...is something wrong?"
She looked at, and saw the concern in his eyes, "Well.....I haven't seen either of them since a thousand years ago when I," she gulped, "When I was fighting on Nightmare Moon's side."
"That was a thousand years ago." He finished putting his pants on and walked over to her, kneeling beside her and rubbing behind her ear lightly, "I'm sure all is forgiven. If they really saw you as a threat, they would've been here the minute Twilight sent that letter."
Dream nodded slowly, "I-I suppose..."
"And..." He continued, "I would be there for you as well." He smiled softly at her.
Her wings fluttered slightly as she smiled back, "Thank you, Kaelen..."
He smiled and nodded.

The sun had just gone down, and Kaelen had just lit the hearth. Feeling a little brave, Dream had slowly climbed onto his lap, which he was more than happy to allow.
So that brings us to now, the two of them, lying together on the couch, simply enjoying each other's company.
Dream's mind however, was still reeling a little from earlier.
Why was I so eager to have sex with him... I've only known him for literally a day and a half. It's not like me... so what was it?
She couldn't think of anything that could've possibly influenced it...
Wait! Oh buck buck buck buck buck... buck! I forgot that I was in my heat this week... first heat I've had in three hundred years and I have sex... Wait, can I even GET pregnant? I think I can... I wouldn't really have a heat if I couldn't get pregnant... So... am I?
She shifted nervously.
I don't know if I want that yet... I mean, I do love him but... to raise a child?... I-I'm not ready for that yet! I-
"Hey, Dream? What's wrong?" Kaelen looked down at her. She looked up at him.
"K-Kaelen... I love you... I-I really do... But, what we did earlier was a mistake..."
"...What do you mean by 'A mistake?'" He asked, a nervous feeling starting to well up inside of him.
"W-Well I just remembered I was going through m-my heat cycle and I kind of....f-forgot until now..." Dream trailed off.
Realization dawned on him, she was worried he might be mad because she only did it because of the heat. Also the pregnancy thing, she might not have wanted a foal, or worse. She wants one.
I love her and all but... a foal?! ...No... not yet anyways. I'm only fifteen...
"W-Well, Dream. If you're worried I'm upset at you for what we did... I'm not, we did move really fast and if you want to slow down it might be a good idea..."
She sighed quietly, "It's not just that. It's the fact that I might be pregnant. I love you, Kaelen, I really do... But... a foal is-"
"Something neither of us are ready for yet." He finished for her.
She smiled softly, "Yeah..."
"Well... I'm not even sure it's possible for me to get you pregnant. I am a completely alien species after all..."
She lifted her head slightly, "I suppose that is true... But, what about in the future? When we're actually ready for a foal? What would we do then?"
He paused for a moment then shrugged, "I don't know, Dream... I'm sure we could think of something though when the time comes... maybe a spell?"
"Maybe... But that's for the future." She decided.
Kaelen nodded, "Yes, the future. Stick with the present for now, because you're in it." He smiled down at her.
She blushed and giggled slightly, "Don't be nice, Kaelen..."
He shook his head lightly, still smiling, "I only tell the truth, Dream…"
She smiled and rested her head under his chin.

Roughly an hour later, after the sun and moon had switched their positions, a knock was heard from the front door. Kaelen looked towards the door with mild confusion as he set down his tea. He wasn't expecting compa- Oh right, the princesses. He glanced at the sleeping form of Dream beside him and shook her lightly, "Dream, wake up, Sweetie. They're here."
Dream raised her head and looked up at him, "H-hmm? Oh… right…" She looked down nervously.
"Hey, hey, it's okay." He kisses her forehead lightly, "We're gonna be okay… okay?"
She looked up at him nervously for a few moments before biting her lip and nodding, she then nuzzled his cheek lightly, "Okay… go let them in."
He nodded and slowly stood up, then made his way to the front door. When he reached the front door he calmly asked, "Who is it?"
The voice from the other side responded, "Princesses Celestia and Luna. We wish to come in."
He took a breath and opened the door wide, motioning his arm to the inside of his house, "Come in then I guess." He then made his way back to the living room, the princesses following behind him. Dream eyed the princesses nervously as they came in but said nothing.
Kaelen took a seat on the loveseat close to Dream while the princesses chose to sit on two of his floor cushions. Celestia was the first to speak, "Hello, Kaelen."
"Hello, Princess." He replied as he picked up his cup of tea again, "Twilight said you both wanted to meet up with us?"
She nodded, "Yes, our meeting concerns the actions that Ms. Weaver had done last night. After hearing it Twilight, I am truly sorry that she lost control like that and turned you."
Kaelen blinked slightly, "Well umm… I would have died if she didn't and well… We're kind of together, so it doesn't really bother me too much…"
"I see…" She said, "However come time you may find immortality to become more of a burden than a gift."
"I know… I've read enough stories about what immortality does to a person. Granted they ARE just stories, however they must have some merit to them."
"They do, I had a time after my sister's banishment when I had gone mad as well for a short period of time." Her ears folded back slightly, "I would… rather not comment on what happened."
Kaelen nodded, "I understand completely, Princess." Celestia smiled softly in thanks at that.
Luna, who had been silent up until now, muttered a question quietly to herself, "where have you been all this time…"
Dream's ears perked slightly as she caught the question, Kaelen's heard it as well but figured it wasn't for him to answer.
Dream swallowed the lump in her throat quickly before answering in a slightly quivering voice, "I-I travelled to different large cities all over Equestria, leaving whenever the guard started to show up, regardless of why. Lately though, there have been no guards so I tried moving to a quiet town… here."
"I see…" Luna said slowly, still watching Dream intently, "…why?"
"W-well after what I did I-I didn't think th-"
Celestia held up a hoof, a calm smile on her face, "Hush now my little pony… All is forgiven."
Her jaw dropped slightly, even more so as Luna added her own nod of approval, "Yes… that was all a long time ago."
Dream was still in shock, but she managed to work a reply out of her stunned mind, "T-thank you…"
Celestia nodded, "You're welcome."
Kaelen leaned close to Dream and whispered to her, "Told you they wouldn't be upset."
She blushed slightly and returned in her own whisper, "S-shut up…"
He chuckled softly and took a sip of his tea, "So, princesses? I'm sure that there is a second reason for both of you making a personal visit besides Dream and what happened last night, correct?"
Celestia smiles and rolls her eyes a touch, "Your skills of assumption get me every time, Kaelen. Yes, there is another reason." She glanced at Luna for a moment, "My sister and I were wondering if we could…. Seek shelter in your home for a while."
He raised an eyebrow, "….Why~?"
Luna looked at him, "Perhaps my sister did not explain herself too well, so I suppose I shall explain myself. Me and my sister wish to interact with our subjects in a non-formal way. Such a feat is impossible anywhere but here. Since it is a small enough town to be overlooked by any who demand our attention, yet it is still close enough to Canterlot for us to give commands in case of emergencies. So, here we are."
"Ah… wouldn't the ponies here recognize you though?"
Celestia spoke up again, "Alicorns shed their forms every so often, a simple dose of magic and we slip our old forms on like a second skin."
"Ah, so you two are going to disguise yourselves as common ponies, got it."
Luna nodded and looked at me with a hopeful smile, "So now that you know, can we stay?"
"Well…" He glanced at Dream, who after a moments shrugged and gave a small nod of approval, he looked back at them, "Okay. You can stay… So long as you're not expecting me to pay for your needs, I'm barely managing myself here as it is."
Celestia nods, "I completely understand, my sister and I will both pay you a daily allowance to support us."
He nodded again, "Perfect. Thank you."
"No," Luna said, "Thank you, Kaelen."
"Truly," Celestia continued, "this means more to us than you could imagine."
Why do I get the feeling these two have a second reason besides observing their subjects without them knowing… "Well, I can't imagine why it's so important to you both, but I won't pry." He smiled softly.
Both of the princesses bodies relaxed slightly.
Must be really important. He thought to himself, "Well... I don't really have any supper ready at the moment, but I could always make some if you'd like."
Luna shook her head, "Food is not necessary, and we do not wish to be a burden on you. So we will forgo food tonight, Kaelen." She smiled softly at him.
Kaelen sighed softly in relief, "Good, I'm not the world's best chef anyways."
Celestia giggled softly, "I can cook every now and then if you desire food. I happen to be a great chef."
"Really?"
She nodded and Luna answered for her, "'Tis true. Sister would often cook for me when we were young. Sadly though the chefs don't like her working in the kitchen in these modern times."
Celestia sighed, "Yes, it is something I miss."
Kaelen smiled softly, "Well my kitchen is always open to you, Princess."
Her smile widened slightly, "Thank you, Kaelen."
He nodded and took another sip of his tea, "So I suppose it's bedtime."
"Ah yes," Celestia stood up, "I shall head to bed, is your room the same one you had when I first came down to see how you settled in?"
He nodded and she continued, "Then I shall head to one of the spares. Goodnight."
The three immortals of the night gave her their own wishes of wellbeing, she then trotted upstairs.
"So," Kaelen began, "Are we going to talk for a while before heading to bed?"
Luna though for a moment before smiling, "Actually, how about Dream and I show you the world of the night? Assuming Ms. Weaver is up to it."
She smiled happily and nodded, "I'd love to!" She the stood up, "Come on, Kaelen."
He chuckled softly and stood up, "Alright, alright, I'm up."
Luna stood up and headed for the door, "Then let us go."
Dream and Kaelen both nodded and followed the Alicorn of the night as she left the house.
