Spike woke up to the clang and clashes of the random objects from downstairs, knowing Twilight he got up, moaned, and scratched the back of his scaled body. He sloped down the stairs nearly tripping several times possibly because he was still half asleep. As he ended up reaching the last wooden step he raised his head up slowly and saw a blue orb of bright light. Twisting and twirling looking like the wisps in the Everfree forest.
"Twilight it's like 5 o clock in the morning" followed by a yawn.
This was followed by Twilight ignoring him and increasing the power to the mysterious and potentially dangerous orb of light. Twilight's horn started to glow brighter and more radiant as she leaned her head forward. The blue light started to grow and grow, than Twilight fell. The orb than fell with Twilight and vanished in thin air. This was as than followed by a unsatisfied moaned from Twilight.
"Twilight are you okay?" Spike sounding worried for his best friend. As he grab her hoof and tried to pull her up.
"Spike I'm fine," as she got up on all four hooves "besides I failed... again."
"Twilight you have tried this more than once?" this was than followed by a nod. "What are you trying to do anyways it looked dangerous?"
"Inter dimensional portals" walking over to her desk and flipped open the book and levitated her quill and started to take notes on her recent attempts. Spike looked over at the book and saw many recent attempts listed in her note book.
"Twilight you should probably rest up. I can go get the groceries" Spike said putting his hand on his friends back.
"But, Spike I have to get this right" Spike than gave Twilight look showing that he was worried for her "Yeah I guess your right it would be a good idea to get some rest" Twilight than levitated her books onto her shelves. "Rest would do me good" as she started to walk up the stairs nearly asleep.
"Good we wouldn't want a pony like you getting hurt" Spike than opened the wooden door "Okay than you rest up, Bye"
"Bye Spike be careful."
Spike left the Library and walked to the farmers market of Ponyville. After Spike had left the view from the Library Twilight rushed to the window and watched him until he was out of sight. Twilight than rushed to all the windows and closed the blinds, locked the door, and lit some candles with her magic and set them around to room to illuminate the work space. She lifted several books at once and set them around her. This time she knew it would work she has been working on it all night.
As she flipped the books open and read the entries she had wrote. Making out the last problems she had run across she got a slightly larger paper out and wrote out all of the things she would have to do. Drawing a diagram of the portal itself. After this was done she finalized it. Twilight than looked over it spotting any flaws if there were any on the paper. After giving herself insurance it was all good. Twilight finished up all of the perpetration. Setting up the circle that would keep her portal alive long enough to go through it.
After that was done she sat up and closed her eyes thinking and picturing the portal after a few seconds of silence a hum aroused from Twilight's horn a purple aura around her horn getting brighter as she shot forth one of the blue orbs she had done when Spike was asleep. She than had to levitate while giving it magical force taking around half a minute to get it big enough for a pony to go through. She than let her grip go of and rested for a few seconds as she leaned her head forward powering up her magic she shot one beam through the air hitting the portal.
The portal looked unreal nothing Twilight has ever seen before, a blue stretched out orb with a curving purple inside of it. It was humming a sound of strong magical energy. It was amazing she thought to herself. Not thinking of what to do next and being very blind of the dangers that could happen she went fourth through the portal
When Twilight jumped through it was like nothing she has ever felt before it was like she was being torn apart and being put back together at the same time. It also didn't hurt as much as she expected. As she was looking all around her she fell four feet and looked at the black asphalt in her face. This place looked already different from the Equestria she knew. She got up and she saw some sort of creature in the distance walking closer to examine it better. It was standing up on two legs it stood around five feet tall. It was turned for it wouldn't see Twilight. She than inched forward to get a better look at the thing. When Twilight got closer a swarm of black and grey rats stormed him sawing at his legs as he fell to the ground and screamed in terror. It seemed like this creature could speak Equestrian. As the scream went silent and all that could be heard was the chewing of flesh. Twilight screamed at the sight, the blood smeared scene was nothing like she has ever seen before. It scared her to the bone as she ran away though the allies of the new universe she had just sent into. At least she was guessing it was another universe. But, it had to be a new universe it looked so different from Equestria.
She ran for a little while making sure she has escaped the rats view and scent. She wouldn't want to end up like whatever that thing was that was torn apart by the rats. She than slowed down and thought to herself the first few minutes here was she already terrifying. She started to use here horn and to no success it didn't work. She frantically tried again and again and again. She now felt stupid for not thinking of a solid way out of the newly discovered universe. She started to cry and thought to herself. Questions like where ,am why didn't I think of a good way out of this, and why doesn't my magic work. She than thought to herself that crying would do nothing but make the situation worse. As she walked out of the alley way and saw towering buildings and whale boats.
When Twilight got a look of the city she was amazed by the buildings and the boats. The buildings were not as colorful as the buildings back home. As Twilight hesitated to go out of the ally way by the chance that she would get spotted. She than galloped out of the dim ally way into the light of day. And yet it was day out the place stilled look gloomy. As she was walking on the cracked sidewalk. As she was walking 2 things were walking towards her position. Not knowing if they knew that she was there she jumped into a dumpster. As she quietly listened onto their conversation.
"Do you think that Skolovo elixirs will stop the plague?" asked a man with a deep voice probably to the other man.
"Possibly but the bugger problem is being eaten by those rats alive" responded the man next to him. This was the rest of Twilight heard from the conversation as still being drowsy from staying up all night she fell asleep in the dumpster.
When Twilight awoke she finds herself not where she slept not at all. She gets up and looks up and down. Knowing that before there were no floating islands. She got up and walked out watching herself making sure that she didn't fall off the edge. It was like a dream. As she got a good look of her surroundings there were floating islands and weird lanterns. Also the sky changed colors too. As she nearly was scared to death by a floating creature right in front of her face.
"Hello Twilight," said the floating creature. "I see you have come to Dunwall at the middle of the plague"
"Who are you and what are you and how do you know my name?!" said Twilight still worried by being trapped here but trying to stay strong.
"I am the Outsider and a series of events will fold over as you spend your time here." Outsider said with weird fully black eyes. "Now Twilight bear my mark if the Outsider and gain powers that will replace your magic." as than the Outside pulled in magic out of the void and released it on Twilight. Twilight felt a burning sensation on the bottom of her left front leg. She looked down on it and saw a weird marking she has never seen before it was a circle with some weird lines on the outside. Twilight looked at with confusion and awe.
"But, I need my magic!"
"Have you already forgot that your magic doesn't work here"
"Yes wait how did you know that?" Twilight even more confused than before wondering how this creature named the Outsider could know this much stuff about her already.
"Twilight here is a heart it will help find my supernatural items around Dunwall" as Twilight was than given a random heart from the supernatural beaning. "Use you new power to travel short distances in a matter of not even a second" As Twilight got out the heart and saw it beat harder when she faced it near some kind of rune thing sort of far away from where she was standing. As Twilight got out her left front leg she pulled in and looked at the place she wanted to travel as she released she went there. Twilight was surprised that this worked she was in awe. But, still this could be a dream and didn't want to get disappointed when she awoke from this place.As she than ran across in tell she reached another edge and used her new power again doing the same thing last time. As she reached the object it was a bone with the same markings of the one on her leg.
"Now Twilight these are my runes use them and keep them to get more supernatural abilities to help you in the events that take forth"
As Twilight fainted and slept, when she awoke she was not in the floating islands place but in the dumpster again. She than looked back at he leg the mark it was still there. She wasn't 100 percent sure what happened last night but whatever has happened it was real as real as possible. Twilight thought to herself for a while for leaving the safety of the dumpster.
I should probably find a better place to sleep later tonight as she jumped over the metal edge of the dumpster and got out. She than got a weird idea of how to you use her new powers. It was like someone was telling her. As she pulled up her left front leg and pulled in and saw a blue orb of floating light as she released she traveled in the place she was looking. Twilight was now in awe of her new power. It still worked it wasn't a dream as she walked down the streets making sure there were no creatures around and stop at a house looking it over. The windows were lock shut and the door were shut by some red contraption. As she looked up the house she saw a balcony she could get through as she used her new found skill and blinked up it as she went inside she was than greeted by two dead creatures. One looked starved to death with his hands cut off and the other one looked like it was eating the others hand but then died of some unknown reason. Looking pat the dead bodies she looked around the room and found a mattress.
She than walked downstairs into what looked like a rundown kitchen as she looked through the cabinets she was stopped by a silver object behind a couch in the next room. Twilight than rushed over to the object and grabbed it was a sword with a holster. Twilight thought about it than thought it would possibly be a good idea just to carry it around with her just in case if she even found herself in trouble.
