Gavin was just a normal human living his life. He never thought to be anything out of the ordinary unlike most people, all he wanted was a steady job and a decent home. He never had any talents or redeeming qualities that would set him apart from the rest of the crowd, nor did he want to. But one day a call to arms from a foreign land called Equestria forces him to find a talent unique to himself, or possibly die trying.

Is This The Beginning?

I don't know how to start my story. Though, I guess I should word that in a different way. I mean I really don't know how this story begins, this may be the end.

If you somehow get this I'm sorry. You don't deserve the burden that is about to be put on you, but I have to tell this to someone. I'm saying all of this and you don't even know my name.

My name is Gavin. For all purposes aside I won't tell you my last name for if my family finds this I would not want them to think that I have died or have gone to some unknown place that they can never reach me. I just want them to think that I am gone. I want them to think that even though I am far away, that I am still alive somewhere living my life to the fullest. But none of that is true, or is it? I just don't know anymore.

Am I alive?

Am I dead?

I can't tell.

But what I can tell you is that I have been here longer than your world has lived, or should I say our world instead. For I don't even know if our worlds are in the same plane existence.

A wise man, or maybe a stupid one, once said that there are an infinite number of universes that exist outside of our own. I can't tell you if this is true, for I do no not know. But there do exist other life forms, other beings that even I have yet to fully understand.

Why am I telling you this you may ask. Cause I am afraid. I am afraid that once all that is said is done there will be nothing left. You may not understand at this time but after reading this you will be in danger. No you already are in danger, we all are. We were in danger the moment we set foot on whatever planet we came from. But still I advise you to read on for you may be our last hope.

For I may be our last hope.

Again I am sorry that I have put this burden on you. But we must get started, there is no time left. But before I can warn you of the dangers that lie ahead, I must start at the beginning.
