The Abandoned One
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"It was late at midnight, and I just had finished taking my bath. My mother was brushing my hair and it started to thunder.
"EEP" I yelled. I hid behind my mother, shaking.
She calmed me down by singing a song to me. My father sat down with us next to the fireplace and we just sat there, quiet, peaceful, and smiling. The next morning, my mother and father left the house. When they came back I was curious.
"Mother and Father? Where did you go?"
They didn't answer. They smiled and loved on me but in their eyes I could tell something had happened.
I went to bed and I was falling asleep but then I heard a noise. It sounded like....crying... I went upstairs to see what was going on. I peeked into the door and to my surprise, father was weeping and mother was crying. I went into the room and the crying stopped. They just smiled and sniffled. I asked them again what was wrong. They just patted my head and gave me hugs and kisses but I still knew something was wrong in their eyes.
The next morning they woke me up at exactly 2:30 in the morning. They told me to go spend time with them. I had no idea what was going to happen in the next 6 hours. They went on a walk with me, telling me how much they loved me. They bought me some candies and cakes, buying the toys I had always wanted. It was about 6:45 and the sun was rising. We were heading home, and once we got to the front door, mother and father handed me a blue box. They told me not to open it until I was older.
My Aunts moved in that morning. They had no idea what was going on either. But father and mother left that very morning. Mother and father had been gone for 5 years. I wish they never would have left, because my aunts were mean. They weren't even mean they were cruel, selfish, evil, foul ponies. They barely fed me, they beat me for doing things wrong, they punished me for things I couldn't control, it was just so s-"
Fluttershy stopped her story and started to cry. Everypony was shocked at what they were hearing. Pinkie hugged Fluttershy, trying her best to make her happy.
"Fluttershy, you really don't have to continue your story if it bothers you, we can talk about something else."
The girls all agreed.
"No. I need to get this out. If I don't say something now, it will probably bother me for the rest of my life. Besides, you guys really need to know."
The girls looked at each other and shrugged with a look on their face that said,
"Well, if you insist..." Fluttershy continued her story.
"I was tired of being mistreated, so I spoke up. I told them to stop doing what they were doing to me. They got so angry when I said this, they kicked me out my own house! Hours later they let me back in. I slowly walked into my room and ate the few scraps that I had saved. My aunts left the house and they told me that they would be back. They lied. I was left alone in the little house. 4 years went by, and thankfully, I was still alive. I was trying my hardest to survive. After a long winter, the spring came. I was playing with the dolls that my parents had given me when I noticed something: the little box that I hadn't touched in 7 years.
I was scared. I didn't know if I should open it, or should I leave it for another 4 years. I had made up my mind. I walked across the wide room and went to my bookshelf. I flew to the very top, and took the box. I flew back down and looked at, laying on my bed. I just looked at it. I didn't know what was going to be inside. I blew the dust off, and carefully opened the box.
I looked inside, and I saw a letter. I picked it up, and on it, the title had said: The Truth.
