The Magic Club

Chapter 1: New Year, New Faces

"Welcome back class, I hope you enjoyed your summer break." Ms. Cheerilee started, "We have some new students joining us this year. Please come up here and introduce yourselves."

There was a small pink pegasus filly with a multi-color mane and wings that appeared to be as fragile as a snowflake, a strange light pink fish-like pony creature with a red-orange mane in a large fish bowl with wheels, a lavender alicorn with a white mane plus various bumps and bruises down her body, a purple dragon with green scales, and, finally, a strange looking primate that was a offish pinkish color, stood on two legs and had a blonde mane who wore glasses and was reading. She also wore a pale yellow sundress and white shoes with laces. None of them had a cutie mark, not that they really cared.

"Hi! I'm Wavy! I'm a sea pony! Me and my dad moved here over the summer!" exclaimed the fish-like pony.

"I'm Spike, but I'm pretty sure you guys already know me. This book worm standing by me is Honey Heart. She is a human and is staying with me and Twilight." the purple dragon said introducing both him and the primate next to him.

"I'm Ploomette. I'm a flutter pony and foreign exchange student from Flutter Valley." the small pegasus filly said.

"I'm Glider. I recently moved here from Manehattan." said the alicorn.

The five new students then took their seats and Cheerilee started class.

"Hi you two, how was your first day at school?" Twilight asked from her study desk as Honey and Spike came in the door of the library.

"Ok I guess," Spike replied, "but this little shy bookworm almost burst into tears after Diamond called her a four eyed freak during recess."

"I'm home Dad!" Wavy called as she splashed into the river.

"How was your day?" he responded.

"Amazing. We learnt about aquatic magic today. Do you know anything about it?"

Ploomette flied up to the house of the small pegasi family who she was staying with and quickly wrote a letter to her family all about her first day of school.

"Hi Terra, I'm home!" called Glider to her foster mom as she walked into her new home. She lived with her abusive dad until a month prior.

"So how was school?" Terra asked kindly.

"Fine, I guess." the alicorn responded.

"Mrs. Darling can I talk to you for a minute?" Cheerilee asked a gold unicorn, "I was wondering if you could run the magic club."

Lightning Darling loved magic club as a filly.

"I'd love to!" she replied.

"Spike, Honey could you two come here for a second?" Twilight called out.

Seconds later, the two were there.

"I would like you to join magic club."

"Wavy, I don't really know a lot about aquatic magic but I know a place you can learn about it." Wavy's dad replied.

"Where?" the daughter asked.

"Magic club." he replied.

Ploomette heard of a club where she could learn. Magic club.

"Glider, I'm having you join magic club so you can make some friends." Terra called out to Glider.

"Sweetie Belle, I signed you up for magic club." Rarity called out to her younger sister.

"Dinky, would you like to be in magic club?" Ditzy asked her daughter. Dinky replied with a nod.
