Ruler Of Skylands [A Skylander/MLP crossover]

It was a normal day in Ponyville, everything was perfect. The pegasi cleared out all the clouds, and The bakery was making fresh cupcakes. Twilight, the newest alicorn, was out with Rainbow Dash being taught how to fly.

"Now Twilight," Rainbow Dash said. "You have wings now, as you already know, but you need to take advantage of your wings, and to do that you need to know how to fly...obviously. Understood?"

"Understood." Twilight said.

"Good. Now we're going to start with something basic, tucking and untucking your wings." Rainbow Dash replied. "So start off by bending the tip of your wings," Twilight did as she was told. "Good now curl up your wings, and simply just tucking them in!" Rainbow Dash continued. "Easy as pie!"

"Wow, this is easy! And it will be much easier to sleep!" Twilight exclaimed. "

"Yay! Now time for phase two, the actual flying. Close your eyes," Rainbow Dash said. Twilight did as she was told again. "And simply think you're as light as a feather, then once you think you're up in the air, start flapping your wings and open your eyes." Twilight imagined herself as a little purple feather floating in the breeze, she felt herself becoming air-born so she started to flap her wings and open her eyes slowly like she just woke up from an eternal nap. She did it! Twilight felt like she had known this all along! She's now an official alicorn!

"I'm flying! I'm actually flying!" Twilight yelled.

"Yeah Twilight!!" Rainbow Dash yelled from the ground. Rainbow Dash flew up into the sky to join her new flying buddy. "Woohoo!! This is going to be awesome!" Suddenly Twilight started flying faster, fast enough to run into the fountain. Rainbow looked away hoping her friend wasn't hurt. Luckily she was okay so Rainbow joined her on the ground. "He he he, oh Twilight! We'll need to work on that!" Rainbow chuckled.

"Ouch." Twilight groaned. Fluttershy suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a letter. "Oh! Am I interrupting anything?" Fluttershy said near a whisper. Twilight recovered from her crash. "No it's fine Fluttershy, whacha' got there?"

"Oh, Spike told me to give this to you, he's a little busy with his...gems." Fluttershy replied. "I think it's from the Princess."

"Oh!" Twilight said grabbing the letter using her magic. The letter said:

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,

I would like you to meet me at the castle for a very important matter, bring all your friends too!

Signed, Princess Celestia

"Oh gosh I'm going to need to get used to the 'Princess Twilight Sparkle' thing..." Twilight said.

"But it's not a thing! It's a reality!" Rarity interrupted.

"Rarity! How'd you get here?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "I live here..." Rarity said unamused. " I brought Apple Jack, Pinkie, and myself."

"Guys we're going to Canterlot!" Twilight yelled so all her friends could hear.

~~At Canterlot~~

"Good afternoon Princess." Twilight said bowing down. "And good afternoon to you too Princess Twilight!" Princess Celestia said bowing down.

"I'm going to need to get used to this." Twilight said. "It'll only be a little while." Princess Cadence said.

"Cadence!" Twilight said running over to her and doing their sunshine dance. Rainbow leaned over to Apple Jack. "Are they going to do this everytime they see each other?" Rainbow asked. "Mm... Probably" Apple Jack replied.

"So why have you called us here Princess?" Rarity asked politely.

"I have called all of you here today to tell you about a newly discovered land that is in grave danger. It is a land where dragons, elves, and beasts can roam in peace and harmony, and they are categorized by their unique powers. This place is called Skylands."

"Skylands? Hm, interesting." Twilight said. "How will we get there?"

"You will get there by using your magic and this spell." Celestia replied handing Twilight a scroll. The six ponies grouped together as Twilight read the spell:

Magic, Fire, Life and Undead, Danger will rapidly spread, through mountains, forests, rivers and ponds without the wave of this special wand.

A flash of light flickered in the castle and everyone looked away from it, thinking that they would be blinded from it. When it was finished, the six ponies were gone.
