In the enormous training cloud stands a stallion with a pale blue coat, dark blue mane, and wearing his uniform thinking about the recent Grand Galloping Gala. ‘The Gala could have been better but at least I got to see her again. She looked so beautiful that night with her rainbow mane tied and her amazing rainbow colored dress with a cloud trim and a golden laurel in her mane.’ He thought as he started blushing. ‘Then the Gala went into chaos and she disappeared. I should have tried harder to talk to her but there was always somepony in the way until it was too late.’ Now he was getting annoyed. “Hey Soarin.” A yellow coated mare with a light orange mane that had a darker orange outline said when she walked in. Soarin snapped out of his thoughts a little too late. He saw a blue hoof just before contact. “What was that for Spitfire?” Soarin almost yelled before noticing she had her uniform on. “It’s time to train but what’s the matter with you Soarin?” Spitfire said looking very worried. “It’s nothing. I was just thinking about the way the Gala turned out.” Soarin said looking around to notice all the ‘bolts were giving him looks of concern. “Afraid you will not get ta see her again, Soarin?” asked a sky blue stallion with a light red mane. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Rapidfire.” Soarin answered too quickly and his blush didn’t help. “HA! Bingo. You can’t stop thinking about her.” Rapidfire said before turning to a white coated mare with a yellow mane and said “See I told you, Surprise.” “Yeah yeah yeah. U where right Rapidfire.” Surprise said sarcastically while rolling her eyes. “Well let’s start training.” Spitfire said trying to get the attention off Soarin. ~~~~~~~~~~~Rainbow Dash’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~ Inside Canterlot Castles’ hall of heroes, a long corridor with stain glass windows and a long dark red carpet running down the center stands a sky blue mare with a rainbow mane. She was looking at all of the windows, even though she was present on some of them, she had a look of remembrance on her face. Then she stopped at one window depicting a black stallion with a rainbow mane defeating a giant silver dragon. “That is probably the oldest window in this castle, Rainbow Dash.” Said a white mare with a multicolor mane. “Really.” Rainbow said still thinking that the stallion looked familiar. “What is the story behind this, Princess Celestia?” “It is said that before my sister and I took the throne that there was a pony that defeated the many evils that threatened Equestria. This is him as described in legend.” Celestia explained. “Wow! I never knew. Do you believe the legends Princess?” Dash asked still curious about that stallion in the window. “I do believe in him my little pony but it is said he will only appear when it is absolutely necessary.” Answered Celestia. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~ “That was horrible. WORST. PRACTICE. EVER.” Spitfire yelled shortly after everypony collided on a simple move that they have done hundreds of times before. “Sorry Spitfire I guess I lost focus for a second.” Mumbled Soarin as Spitfire approached him. “Soarin if this mare is going to effect your practice so much than go see her.” Spitfire said after taking a moment to calm down. “I don’t know where she lives though. I don’t think she lives in Canterlot.” Soarin replied sounding depressed. “Soarin take a week off and find her. Keep an eye on the sky if she wants to be a Wonderbolt than she is going to practice all the time.” Spitfire said before noticing that the other ‘bolts had left. “Thanks Spitfire you always know what to do.” Soarin said perking up before he thought of something. “What about the Commander?” “I’ll deal with the Commander. Just go find her Soarin.” Spitfire said looking worried about the thought. The Commander of the Wonderbolts is the only pony that outranks herself. He is usually very serious but sometimes he can’t be found for weeks. “Thanks I owe you a lot for this. Spitfire.” Soarin said knowing his superiors very well he was still worried. “You better believe you do.” Spitfire said jokingly or at least Soarin hoped she was. Soarin walked through the corridors of the HQ continuing to think about the amazing mare that saved his pie. Then he remembered something else about her. ‘She’s the pony that saved my life at the Best Young Flier Competition but I can’t remember much about it. I got kicked pretty hard I guess.’ Soarin thought as he walked right into somepony breaking his concentration. “Sorry about that I’ve been thinking a lot today.” Soarin said rubbing his forehead with his eyes closed. “It’s alright I understand. I fell in love once too you know.” Said a voice that any of the ‘bolts would instantly recognize. Soarin looked up hoping he was wrong but in front of him was a black stallion with a rainbow mane. “If I may Commander. What do you mean?” Soarin said with a salute. “I know you have fallen for the winner of last year’s young flier competition. That Spitfire gave you the next week off to find her and that she lives in a small town called Ponyville.” The Commander said before continuing his journey to his office. “How do you know where she lives?” Soarin asked but it was too late. Commander Kindo was already in his office. ‘How does he know her?’ was the only thought in his mind until he realized that he was wasting time. He could see the Commander any day but he doesn’t get a lot of time off so he needed to find her. After about a half hour flight he was over a little town that was very festive for some reason so he decided to land. At the center of the celebration was a gingerbread house looking building called Sugar Cube Corner. Apparently Discord had returned yesterday but was defeated by the Elements of Harmony. Discord was so focused on making the Elements useless that his chaos only effected where they were. The only place that was thrown into chaos was Canterlot and Ponyville as Discord followed the Elements around to make them miserable. As soon as Soarin walked into Sugar Cube Corner he was greeted by a hyperactive pink earth pony with a pink mane that looked very tangled. “Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie and who are you? Are you new here? What’s your favorite mmhhh?” Pinkie was silenced by another earth pony but she had an orange coat with a light yellow mane and wearing a brown Stetson. “Sorry bout her she tends to get excited when a new pony comes into town. I’m Applejack.” She said raising her hoof. “Hello I’m Soarin and I was just flying by when I heard the party.” He said before shaking her hoof and getting the feeling his hoof just got pulse by the speed she was shaking it. “Soarin? As in the Wonderbolt Soarin?” asked a purple unicorn mare with mane different shades of purple. “Uh... Yes why?” Soarin was starting to get worried about being mobbed. “I’m Twilight Sparkle and my friend is a huge fan of the Wonderbolts.” She said while looking around. “Yeah a lot of ponies are.” Soarin said getting ready to meet another huge fan of his work but she didn’t seem to show. “Excuse me Twilight but have you seen Rainbow Dash anywhere?” a yellow pegasus mare with a pink mane asked in a low voice that he could barely hear. “Fluttershy dear I do believe Rainbow Dash is still feeling guilty about yesterday.” A white unicorn mare with a styled purple mane said in a Canterlot accent. “Oh. Rarity she should know that we don’t blame her. We should go talk to her.” Twilight said obviously worried about their friend. “I agree dear but how? Even if we get to her house she probably wants to be left alone.” Rarity said before looking at Fluttershy pleadingly. “For Rainbow Dash I’ll try.” Fluttershy said before walking out the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Rainbow Dash’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~ ‘I can’t believe I turned my back on my friends when they needed me. I’m a horrible Element.’ She thought but then her Element started glowing on her dresser and she heard a voice coming from it. “Dash you did what you thought was right and nopony will blame you for it but you mustn’t blame yourself either.” The necklace said in a very familiar voice but she couldn’t place it. “I abandoned my friends! How is that right?” Rainbow yelled at the necklace. “If Discord was telling the truth then your friends would be uncomfortable but they would be fine. If Cloudsdale fell apart then hundreds of pegasi would be injured or even killed.” The necklace responded. “So I had to help them even if I didn’t want to leave my friends because ponies could have gotten hurt if I didn’t help.” Rainbow said like she finally remembered her reason for going. The Element stopped glowing and she heard a soft knocking on the door. After a few more words of encouragement from her oldest friend Fluttershy and the possibility of seeing a Wonderbolt Dash went to the party. A few months ago the mere mention of the Wonderbolts would make her go fanfilly but after the Gala when they ignored her and the Best Young Fliers Competition when they cancelled her prize of a day with them she lost a lot of interest in them. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 “There’s nothing you can do!” said a sky blue pegasus mare with a light red mane. “I can try.” responded a black pegasus stallion with a rainbow mane. “You wouldn’t survive the blast.” Said the concerned mare trying to hold back tears. “Maybe but I’m going to try. I love you.” The stallion said crying before running off. Shortly after Kindo ran off there was an enormous explosion that anypony could hear for miles. ******************* “Commander!” Spitfire said. “Yes Captain what is it?” Kindo asked whipping his eyes. “Have you been crying?” Spitfire asked very surprised that his eyes where red. “State your business Captain!” Kindo ordered in a broken voice. “I gave Co-captain Soarin a week long vacation.” Spitfire said waiting for him to explode. “Yes. I know.” Kindo said thinking back to the last time he saw Soarin. “You know! But how?” Spitfire was obviously stunned by this information. “Never mind that Captain. You’re Dismissed.” Kindo said in his usual commanding voice. ~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~ In the streets outside Sugar Cube Corner Soarin is waiting for the fan who wants to meet him so badly when he sees her. The beautiful sky blue pegasus with a rainbow mane that saved his life and his pie, the one pony Soarin actually wanted to see. She was accompanied by a yellow pegasus with a pink mane, Fluttershy if he remembered correctly. Soarin walked over to the two pegasi as they landed. “Hello I’m-” He started “Soarin. Yeah I know who you are. My name is Rainbow Dash.” She said “Takes the fun out if meeting new ponies.” Soarin offered his hoof. “I can only imagine.” Dash said while shaking his hoof. After a few house of partying, playing games, and a dance or two Soarin realized he had nowhere to stay for the night. The party had winded down as Luna’s moon rose into the sky and the stars became visible. Soarin started asking the few ponies that were left if there was a hotel nearby but the closest hotel was in Cloudsdale. Soarin went outside not wanting to fly home but had no other option so he unfurled his wings and prepared to take off. Before Soarin took off he saw Dash looking sad but before he could get to her she took off. Soarin followed her and tried to catch up when she landed on a large cloud house he landed beside her. “What’s wrong Dash?” Soarin was concerned because he knew how strong she usually was. “Nothing.” She said in a way that wouldn’t convince a foal. “If you don’t want to talk about it we could talk about something else.” “It’s just yesterday was horrible but it turned out alright.” Dash stopped herself from sounding stupid. “And?” Soarin asked knowing that there was more to it. “NOTHING!” she yelled before going inside leaving Soarin to wonder what went wrong. ‘Did I do something to upset her? Why was she crying?’ Sorin’s mind was racing with questions and he was starting to worry about their potential relationship. He tried to remember everything about the party but there was still no answer to his questions. ‘Think. Focus. Concentrate. We were having fun until she went outside for some fresh air but I didn’t see her after that until she went home.’ ~~~~~~~~~~~~Princess Luna’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inside the hall of heroes Princess Luna, a tall alicorn mare with a dark purple coat and a deep blue mane with a light purple outline, was talking to somepony through the alicorn amulet. “We demand to know what happened.” Luna commanded confused. “I don’t know what happened but I’m assuming it’s something I either didn’t do or haven’t done yet.” “How old are you right now?” Luna asked becoming even more confused. “I’m 307. Why? Do you have the scroll?” The necklace asked in a rough voice. “What scroll?” Luna was getting annoyed with not knowing but her sister walked in with a scroll. “I have your scroll and if your only 307 then you just started didn’t you.” Princess Celestia asked. “You should know Celestia. Since Nightmare Moon is no more, Princess Luna would probably want to know.” “Know what?” Luna was getting angry from all of these secrets. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Spitfire’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Commander!” Spitfire said with a salute as Commander Kindo walked up to her. “Captain Spitfire. You wanted to see me?” Kindo asked. “Yes, but how did you know?” Spitfire gave a look of bewilderment. “Doesn’t matter. What is your question Captain?” Now it was Kindo’s turn to be confused as Spitfire pulled a scroll out of her bag. “Why did you give this to me?” Spitfire said surprised at the look he was giving it. “Don’t let me see that Captain.” Kindo ordered looking away before leaving. ‘What was that all about?’ Spitfire thought before reading the scroll again. The meaning of it was lost to her but that didn’t stop her from wanting to know more. ~~~~~~~~~~Rainbow Dash’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~ Rainbow Dash woke up from the bright rays of sunlight invading her bedroom once filled with Wonderbolts merchandise but now the walls are empty. She got up and started her daily rituals, brushing her teeth, taking a shower and using the water to flatten her mane. As she was eating a bowl of oats, she was thinking about last night and everything that happened. ‘I shouldn’t have done that to him. He did nothing wrong. Soarin just wanted to help and I just yelled at him and walked away.’ Rainbow Dash decided to make it up to Soarin when she saw him again so she started looking around Ponyville. She knew Soarin was in no shape to fly home last night so he should be in town. As Dash was flying around she heard a scream coming from Sweet Apple Acres and went to investigate. She found the Cutie Mark Crusaders standing outside their clubhouse looking worried until they saw Rainbow Dash and immediately waved her down. The Cutie Mark Crusaders or CMC for short consist of three fillies, Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, and Applebloom. Scootaloo is an orange pegasus with a dark purple mane. Sweetie Bell is a unicorn with a white coat and a purple and pink mane. Applebloom is an earth pony with a cream colored coat and a red mane with a light purple bow tie in her hair. Dash opened the door to their clubhouse and found Soarin sleeping on the wooden floor. She walked up to him and tapped him with her hoof and he felt cold so Dash took him to Twilight’s treebrary. Twilight’s treebrary looks like a library on the first floor but all the book shelves are carved into the tree itself. “Twilight!” Dash yelled concerned about Soarin. “There is no yelling in a-” Twilight stopped herself upon seeing Soarin. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 “It is not your time yet young stallion.” Said a voice that echoed in the darkness. “What do you mean?” the stallion asked both confused and worried. “I mean open your eyes. She is very worried right now.” The voice sounded like another stallion. “Who are you?” the young stallion yelled before coughing violently and getting his sight back. ******************* “Soarin are you alright?” a different voice asked and when he looked around he saw that he was in a library near a fire and there were two mares looking very worried. “I’m fine.” Soarin said trying to figure out where he was. “I was worried when I found you in the clubhouse so I brought you to Twilight’s so she could make sure you were okay.” Dash said looking relieved but still guilty. “I’m really sorry about last night.” “What happened last night anyway?” Soarin asked still confused about why she was crying. “I saw my father last night.” Dash said looking at the ground. “That should be great Rainbow but why did it upset you?” Twilight asked while thinking about how Dash never talks about her family. “I thought he died before I was born.” Dash said trying to hold back tears while the others looked bewildered. “He didn’t even say anything and when I called out to him he disappeared.” While Soarin and Twilight tried to calm down Dash the Element of Magic sitting on the fireplace flickered to life for just a second. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kindo’s POV~~~~~~~~~~ In the Wonderbolts HQ lying in his bed is the Commander but he was lost in thought. Remembering days gone by and days that never was when he was brought back to reality by Spitfire. “What is it Captain?” Kindo asked in his usual stern and commanding voice. “I heard about what you said to Soarin before he left. He might be clueless but I’m not so” “Sometimes it’s better to be clueless Captain. Sometimes knowing things hurt a lot.” Kindo said in his usual voice but his eyes looked like he knew the pain of knowing too much and were trying to protect her. “I understand Commander but about that scroll.” “The scroll has an age at the bottom with my seal correct.” “Yes sir but how did you know?” “This is one thing that you’d be better off not knowing but if I gave it to you than you must know. I’m sorry. Really and truly sorry Captain Spitfire.” Kindo said with concern and hurt yet to give in his voice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin is standing outside in Ponyville when he realized it was getting late again. Celestia’s sun was setting and Luna’s moon was getting ready to take its place in the sky. Soarin found himself in the same situation as last night, too dark to fly home but nowhere to stay, while he was thinking about what to do another pony approached him. “Can’t get home again huh Soarin?” Rainbow asked knowingly. “No.” Soarin said annoyed but Dash found it amusing for some reason. “Come on flyboy you can stay at my place.” Rainbow offered. “I wouldn’t want to impose or anything.” Soarin said blushing and he noticed that Dash was blushing too. “After last night I think you deserve a nice cloud bed.” Rainbow said as her blush got worse. “Well I don’t have much of a choice do I?” Soarin asked playfully. “No not really.” Dash said before taking off into the sky. Soarin followed Dash to her cloud house once again but this time he knew what was going on and although their conversation during flight was a normal one Soarin couldn’t help but hope this wasn’t a dream. “Make yourself at home.” Dash said opening the cloud door for Soarin. “Thank you ma’am.” Soarin said politely but he still had a playful tone. Soarin and Dash talked almost all night and ended up sleeping in each others hooves. Soarin woke up first and found himself in her hooves but he didn’t want to move. It was such a perfect moment for him that he wanted it to last forever. After an hour or so Soarin fell asleep again still in her hooves but shortly after he went back to sleep Dash woke up. Rainbow Dash awoke to find herself in Soarin’s hooves and she wanted that to be the norm because she felt so safe and secure in his hooves. After a couple of minutes Dash caught a whiff of something it wasn’t a good smell and it didn’t take her long to figure out she was the source. Dash forced herself to end such a perfect moment for a desperately needed shower. Soarin awoke again but this time Rainbow was not in his hooves and he could hear water running upstairs. Soarin decided to look around her house for a little bit mainly exploring the first floor. On the first floor there was just the usual a rather large kitchen, a pretty big living room, and a half bath but he found it strange that for a house so large there was such a small dining room. Venturing up the stairs he found the main bathroom where Dash was, a bunch of big empty rooms, and a locked door but he couldn’t help but explore Dash’s bedroom. There was a picture of her friends, a pretty necklace, and some Daring Doo books but mainly the bedroom was empty. Soarin decided that he should stop looking in her personal room, his curiosity being overcome by general manners, but when he turned to leave. There she was soaking wet in nothing more than a towel, unclothed ponies are common, but being in her bedroom gave a completely different atmosphere. He had seen her without clothes before but with her mane being dragged down by the water and mixing with the sunlight gave off a rainbow glow around her. Dash looked like some sort of goddess and Soarin couldn’t help but stare at her. When Dash finally got the soap out of her eyes and adjusted to the light she saw him. Soarin was just gawking over her and she couldn’t resist. “See something you like?” Rainbow said in a flirtatious voice while batting her eyelashes. As soon as she said that his wings became as solid as a board and he was blushing furiously unable to speak. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kindo’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo was lying on the roof of the Wonderbolts HQ watching the sunrise thinking about what has already happened in his extraordinary life. In the last three hundred years he has seen so much but there is a recent memory haunting him it was about fifteen years ago. “Commander.” Kindo looked turned towards the voice and saw Fleetfoot. “Yes Fleetfoot. What is it?” Kindo said grateful for the distraction from recent memories. “Sir. Your room is glowing and we can’t get in without your key.” Fleetfoot gave a bewildered expression. ‘Now? Why Now? Why here?’ Kindo thought as he made his way to his quarters. When he opened his door he came face to face with the one creature he didn't want to see. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 Kindo is looking at a window depicting the Elements of Harmony defeating Nightmare Moon in the Hall of Heroes in Canterlot. While he is standing there Princess Celestia approached him to ask about something but sees him staring at the window. “Her mother would be proud.” Celestia said waiting for his reaction. “Yes, she would be and so am I.” Kindo said looking deeply hurt. “Why don’t you go see her?” Celestia asked completely confused. “I already have just not yet.” Kindo answered still looking hurt but regains his composure after a minute. “Why are you here Celestia?” Kindo asked bewildered. “I needed to ask you-” Celestia started. “No not that way Luna.” Kindo’s voice echoed from behind the doors. “Younger version.” The Kindo that walked in with Luna explained to Celestia and Luna who had their jaws dropped. “We solved this problem before it ever happened. Why are you here?” Kindo asked his older self. “As for our solution, I…uh…lost it. I’m here to tell you that it’s time to begin our journey.” His older self explained. “And you decided to do that in pony? Well we’re an idiot then” Younger Kindo asked carefully. “Basically but I think it’s about time we leave.” Older Kindo said trying not to reveal anything to his younger self. “Well in that case. To days to come.” Younger Kindo said with a bow. “All my love to long ago.” Older Kindo said smiling with a bow before disappearing in a bright flash of purple light. “Now then Princess Celestia what were you going to ask me?” Kindo was getting curious. “There were two of you!” Luna stated in complete shock while Celestia was too shocked to speak. “Basically.” Kindo said nonchalantly. “Oh…right time to make a difference in this world. Goodbye Princess Celestia. Goodbye Princess Luna.” Kindo finished with a quick bow to each Princess. He flew out a window quickly and accelerated to unnaturally high speeds before he disappeared in a flash of purple light not as bright as his older self but visible for miles even in the middle of the day. ~~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin had hung out with Dash almost all week but now that he was back at the Wonderbolts HQ he couldn’t help but think of the last week with her. Over the last week nothing really happened they just talked, hung out with her friends, and raced every now and then. The only interesting thing was on his second day in Ponyville when Dash solidified her place as the most beautiful mare he had ever met. Soarin knew that he couldn’t see her for quite a while due to shows and practice but that didn’t stop him thinking about her. The next few months went by like usual for Soarin, he ate then trained then ate then exercised then ate, it was getting boring. Next week is the royal wedding and Soarin was invited to go, he didn’t know why but it was something different so he agreed. The wedding was boring but before the wedding there was an invasion of black bug-like alicorn ponies and they were defeated by the bride and groom. He is currently waiting outside where the after-party would take place, since he wasn’t invited to the wedding only the after-party, he was starting to question his reasons for coming to this. Just as he started questioning himself there was a loud boom above him and when he looked up he knew he had made the right decision. Above him was a beautiful rainbow being made by the only pony that can make them, Rainbow Dash. Soarin was instantly grateful that he came to this wedding and couldn’t wait until he could see her again, he literally couldn’t wait, and with a powerful flap of his wings he was airborne. He angled himself to intercept her and when he did catch up to her they, ignoring the party for a little while, landed on a cloud and talked. They talked as Cadence and Shining Armor exchanged pieces of cake, obviously I mean they hit each other with a piece of cake, cleaned off and got changed. When Soarin and Dash rejoined the party Dash left to be with her friends again but Soarin stayed behind and mingled with his fans. Soarin didn’t know what was going on but everything went quiet for a second and Pinkie Pie appeared on stage and said something before grabbing the DJ from under the table and throwing a microphone to Twilight. The song she was singing was perfect, too perfect for him to resist, and he found Rainbow by the punch table. “Hey Dash!” Soarin said excitedly nervous. “Oh…Hey Soarin.” Dash replied nonchalantly but also a bit sadly. “What’s wrong?” Soarin asked immediately getting worried by her tone. “It’s nothing.” Dash said perking up either falsely or actually feeling better being around him, he couldn’t tell. “Well if it’s nothing then…” Soarin started and waited to hear her reply. “Then?” Dash asked after a few seconds of awkward silence. “Will you, Rainbow Dash, care to dance with me?” He asked happily with hope shining in his eyes. “I would love to, Soarin.” She replied almost instantly perking up some more and as she gave a quick curtsey there was a flash from a camera. “I can’t get rid of them even for one night.” Soarin quietly complained but Dash heard it and giggled. “Sorry if this hurts your reputation.” Dash said as they started to dance. “How would it hurt my reputation?” Soarin asked trying to slide into a subject he was uneasy to bring up. “If other ponies think that we’re dating couldn’t it hurt your reputation?” Dash asked knowing where this could go but ultimately leaving it up to him. “There is no rule against it so I wouldn’t get in trouble with the other Wonderbolts besides…I know I would like to.” Soarin replied after a second with the most serious yet loving face he could muster. “Are you asking me out?” Dash asked slightly confused but hope was still shining in her eyes. “Um…Well…Basically yes I am.” Soarin said worried about her reply but just like Dash he had hope in his eyes. After a few moments Dash giggled again but stopped when she saw Soarin’s face drop in disappointment. “You have the stupidest ways to ask a girl out.” Dash said still amused but Soarin perked up. “Are you saying that…” Soarin was silenced by a pair of sky blue lips being pressed against his own. “I couldn’t help myself.” Dash admitted sheepishly after they broke the kiss for air. “I’m surprised I could.” He admitted before they once again locked lips. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 Kindo was flying over Cloudsdale and he noticed that he arrived too early because the Wonderbolts HQ wasn’t there and nopony had heard of them. He finally found out the date and he was only about five years early but it also meant that he wouldn’t be here yet. Kindo flew over a very small place with only a few tents but he knew that those tents would eventually become Ponyville. On his way to Canterlot he noticed a rise in sky magic or pegasus magic, but that magic was lost about six thousand years ago. The only pony who still knew sky magic was himself so he knew that another version of himself was exiting the time vortex. Not wanting to run into himself he slowed down and wrapped his magic around himself to make him look like a cloud. Kindo appeared to look like a floating cloud over the soon-to-be Everfree forest as he watched himself speed off to Canterlot. He obviously took interest in whatever the other him was doing so he followed and when he arrived in Canterlot he noticed something was wrong. The other pony from the future or past was not Kindo but somepony he had never seen before. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rainbow’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dash had just finished clearing the weather and was going to visit some of her friends; her first stop was Fluttershy’s house. When she arrived she noticed a sign on the door that said: Went on a date sorry if I missed you. Since Fluttershy wasn’t home Dash went over to Twilight’s but Spike told her that she was on a date as well. After visiting Twilight, Dash went to see Applejack but got the same result. She knew that Rarity was in Canterlot and that Pinkie Pie was helping the Cake’s with an enormous order. Ponyville seemed pretty lonely with her best friends preoccupied and very quiet with the CMC in school. Dash became suspicious when she remembered that there was no school today but she didn’t notice Pinkie Pie heading towards Sweet Apple Acres. She was thinking about just about anything to relieve her boredom, since she failed a new trick last week and sprained a hoof; she couldn’t walk right for a couple days. She remembered her time in the hospital; it was only a few hours, all of her friends visited. When she thought about Soarin keeping her company most of the time she realized that they had a date tonight. Even though they had been together for about two weeks already, either Soarin was busy with the Wonderbolts or Dash had been in the Crystal Empire, this would be their first actual date. She immediately rushed back to her house to get ready for her date tonight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin had only one thing to do today, his big date with his favorite pony, but that one thing had him more nervous than anything he had ever done. He had almost all day to prepare but he was still nervous sometimes he would calm down by thinking of her instead of their date. He knew where they were going and what he was going to wear but he didn’t know how to not screw this up. This was an important date not only because of his date but also because it was her birthday today. “Calm down Soarin.” Spitfire said when she walked in and saw his pacing. “It’s not that simple Spitfire.” Soarin complained “Sure it is, everything is prepared so just be yourself and you’ll have this in the bag.” Spitfire said calmly. “Everything is already in place but that should have taken hours.” Soarin looked at the clock and realized it was almost time to leave for his date. After about an hour he was ready but still nervous about this. Everything would be perfect, the surprise party is ready, the Wonderbolts were going to let Dash do an unofficial flight with them and have her Sonic Rainboom as the finale. How was he supposed to measure up to that but he calmed down when he thought of the look on her face when everything came to pass and as long as she was happy he was happy. Soarin broke formation with the other ‘bolts to go to Dash’s house while they mad their way to the party. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Kindo’s POV~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo landed and approached the new time traveling pegasus. She had a deep red mane, light blue coat, and light green eyes. She was also physically fit and had a watch on her right hoof. “Who are you? How can you time travel? Have we met before?” Kindo threw a bunch of questions at this new pony. “My name is Vectra and yes we have met before.” She said looking a little depressed. “Vectra huh well I like it. I assume you’re here for the same reason I am?” Kindo asked still completely confused. “No.” she answered flatly. “You’re here to meet your father and I’m here to meet you.” Kindo became even more confused by her answer. “Meet me but how did you know I would be here?” “You know I can’t answer that.” Vectra said knowing it could rewrite time. “Clever than I suppose you know the rules.” Kindo couldn’t get a read on her without reading her mind. “Of course.” Vectra said before taking her leave so history could take its course. “Another time traveler well my life gets more interesting by the day.” Kindo said to himself. “She looked pretty trustworthy.” Kindo kept talking on his way into the castle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dash’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was shortly after her birthday party was over and she looked happy but she really wasn’t. Her party was awesome and probably the best yet but all she really wanted was to spend some alone time with her coltfriend. They had always been with her friends, the Wonderbolts or both the last few times that they saw each other. In her mind the best night ever was dragged down by the one she loved. Soarin is always so busy that she almost never gets to see him so their date tonight meant a lot. Dash had actually forgotten it was her birthday today when she remembered her date. She would have been happier ignoring her birthday for their date but the day still turned out alright. Dash thought that her day with Soarin was over and was walking home from Sweet Apple Acres. ~~~~~~~~~~~Soarin’s POV~~~~~~~~~~~ “What did I do wrong?” Soarin asked Spitfire on their flight back to HQ. “I don’t know Soarin but she didn’t seem as excited as usual. Even her flying was off.” Spitfire said remembering the Young Flier Competition. “I wish I knew how to fix it.” Soarin said as a bright flash of purple light appeared in the sky. “Wish granted. Go on an actual date with her. That’s what she wants right now.” Vectra said. “Thanks…I guess but who are you?” Soarin asked bewildered. “Well I’m…” Kindo interrupted Vectra by flying straight into her as he exited the time vortex. “That was interesting.” Spitfire stated. “Are you gonna take her advice?” she said turning to Soarin. “It couldn’t hurt. Spitfire do you mind me taking a few days off.” Soarin asked but Spitfire just laughed. “Soarin it’s the off season. We have a two month break right now.” Spitfire said after a minute of laughing. “When did that start?” Soarin asked wondering how much time he had left. “It started this mourning.” As she said that she broke out laughing again but Soarin left to see Rainbow. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 In the cloud city of Atlantis around three thousand years ago a crowd has gathered to discuss if they should harness the untold powers of a meteor that fell only a few months ago. “Are you sure about this?” A pegasus asked but he couldn’t see witch one. “Absolutely not but it is our best chance of harnessing the power.” Kindo said looking around. “That meteor is generating enough power to destroy Equestria.” Another pegasus said. “Yes it is but trust me we have to try. The power inside could help us prevail.” Kindo answered still looking around. ****** Kindo was flying over Equestria, what will be Equestria, thinking about his new friend. She bothered him so much but right now he was going to see his father. He landed on a cloud city and approached his father a black coated pegasus with a light blue mane. “Commander Hurricane” Kindo said looking over his soon-to-be father. “Yes what is it?” he said as he turned around. “Ah. Kindo. Good to see you again. “You too sir, How have you been?” Kindo asked not sure if his good friend knows who he is yet. “Pretty good my wife is going to have a foal soon.” Hurricane stated proudly. “How far along is she?” Kindo asked joyfully. “About seven months.” Hurricane answered. “Have you chosen a name for it yet?” Kindo asked trying to figure out when he is. “Yes we have if it’s a filly her name will be Jocelyn Miriam. If it’s a colt his name will be Kenneth Nathan.” Hurricane said proudly. “Not even born yet and you’re already proud of it.” Kindo said smugly. “Tell me old friend will my child be remembered?” Hurricane asked a little worried about his unborn foal. “Remembered? Future ruler of a land that will be founded in a couple of months, saved this planet a couple of times, created the most powerful weapon in existence, and a proud parent as well. No not really.” Kindo answered jokingly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After visiting his father, Kindo decided to go and see his daughter but on his way through the vortex he noticed time shifting. Time shifts only happen when time is being rewritten so he had to investigate and he found himself in Canterlot. Nothing seemed unusual but this is definitely the right point in time when time began shifting so he explored some more. After a few hours he found out that the date is April 12, in the year 60, meaning sixty years ago is when Equestria was founded, he knew what was going on. This is the day he blew up the cloud city of Atlantis and his first day of time travel. It is an extremely important day but if time is shifting that means he might not do it and he would disappear from existence. Kindo flew to the cloud city of Atlantis and found a group of ponies trying to stop his experiments. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin had spent the last two months with Rainbow Dash barely leaving her side the entire time but it is almost time for him to return to the Wonderbolts. In the two months he had been there they had gone on about twenty date and each one went better than the last. Today however would be his last day with her for quite a while so Soarin was going to make it special. They had finished eating breakfast and now they were heading off to visit her friends their first stop was Fluttershy. When they arrived they noticed that Fluttershy wasn’t home but before they left they heard her nearby probably feeding some animals. After venturing around for a little bit they found her with her coltfriend Big Macintosh feeding some bunnies. “Hello Fluttershy. Hey Big Mac. What have you two been up to?” Soarin asked when they were within sight. “Not much really just the usual. How have you two been?” Fluttershy said in a low voice. “We’ve been doing great and he has been quite the gentlecolt…” Dash said and Soarin snickered a bit at her saying he was a gentlecolt. “Well when he wants to be.” Dash finished while glaring at Soarin “That was an involuntary snicker of uhhh…fondness and appreciation.” Soarin said in his defense. The other three laughed at this before Dash said “Well I guess I can let you off the hook, this time.” Soarin looked at Dash before giving her a quick kiss and saying “Thanks Dear.” “Now you’re in trouble.” Dash said as serious as possible that got Soarin to give a nervous laugh before she kissed him. Remembering Fluttershy and Big Mac were there made Dash blush a little. After their visit with Fluttershy they went to see Applejack since she was closest. When they arrived on the farm Applebloom told them Applejack was in the East Orchard so they took off. From above they could see Applejack and Caramel so they landed and walked up to them. They talked for about an hour before Applejack and Caramel had to get ready for their date tonight. They had visited Rarity next and stopped for lunch before they went to see Pinkie Pie witch was as always an interesting visit. They visited Twilight last because she broke up with her coltfriend Time Turner and they knew it would be a long visit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There was black smoke coming from something that had just appeared out of nowhere in the sky. Kindo knew exactly what was going on because he was the one that appeared out of nowhere. He had gotten hit with pure time energy it looks like lightning in the vortex but it always hurt a lot and threw him out of the time vortex itself. Plummeting at nearly mach five Kindo had to level out otherwise he would hit the ground and be in even more pain. When he tried to level out though he noticed the time energy had obliterated his left wing. With only one wing Kindo used sky magic to put force between him and the ground by wrapping air around his hooves. It was a technique he created by altering his walk on air magic and it worked this time. Drained of energy and a majority of his magic Kindo landed on the ground and had to wait until his body could repair itself. If he had the magic to repair himself he would have, the magic hurts a lot more than the pain but after an hour his body was always one hundred percent. Kindo went to sleep to recover his magic but was awoken by his bones snapping back into place by the same magic he had learned about five thousand years ago. After his last bone snapped back into place he passed out and remembered when he had learned the magic that had helped him. ********** After falling from the time vortex in the year 5000 BC and Kindo wasn’t too happy about all of his injuries. He had passed out from the pain before waking up in even more pain and passing out again. After about a day’s sleep Kindo woke up again but this time there was no pain. “Slept for quite a long time sir.” A mare with a light red coat and a darker red mane said as he woke up. “How long was I out?” Kindo asked groggily surprised he wasn’t in pain anymore. “About a day how’s you’re pain?” she asked “It’s like it was a dream. How did I heal so quickly?” Kindo asked still confused. “A new technique that most ponies consider dark magic.” She answered looking distressed. “Why is it considered dark magic?” Kindo asked but from the look she gave him he figured it out. “It takes life force.” He answered himself flatly. “Yes it does do you want me to show you?” she asked knowing his answer from the determination in his eyes. “Yes I do but why would you?” Kindo asked ready to learn but still confused. “I have a feeling you will do great things and it will come in handy.” ******* Kindo woke up and looked around seeing nopony but all of his wounds where healed. He just laid there for a while thinking about the only other pony that could know that technique in this time period. The sky healer technique was considered black magic and was banished from Equestria even before it was founded. The only ponies that could still do it were himself and possibly even Vectra. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin was back at the Wonderbolts HQ getting ready for his first day back but something didn’t seem quite right. Spitfire seemed depressed and Kindo seemed to be in pain but the other ‘bolts didn’t say anything and they seemed a bit down as well. Even though the Wonderbolts didn’t have to stay during to off season most of them did because the HQ was home to them. Soarin continued about his day as usual but nothing seemed the same and for some reason he felt like he was forgetting something. Spitfire wasn’t there for most of the day but after the off season she would be training potential Wonderbolts at the Academy. Then he remembered that Dash would be at the Wonderbolts Academy this year. Soarin tried not to think about his marefriend because he knew that if he did he would want to see her and it would also throw off his concentration. Thinking about her at the Academy made him very happy because she had the skills to get in and if she was a Wonderbolt then they could see each other more. After supper Soarin finally had enough with not knowing what was so sad so he went to see the Commander. “Commander Kindo.” Soarin said with a salute as the Commander walked by. “Yes Co-captain Soarin. What is it?” Kindo asked flatly. “Why is everypony so sad?” Soarin asked hoping to finally figure everything out. “Rainbow Dash was accepted into the Academy.” Kindo answered making Soarin confused. “That should be good news; she is a very talented flier.” Soarin asked a little put off. “It would be but according to the Wonderbolts rules she can’t be a Wonderbolt.” Kindo answered in a broken voice as he started to tear up. “Can’t you do anything Commander?” Soarin asked with hope in his voice but he was obviously distraught. “I don’t know but I’m going to try.” Kindo answered with renewed hope in his voice as he thought of a possible solution. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 Kindo was flying for his life, he wouldn’t leave the planet unprotected but he also knew staying where he was would have been suicide. There were so many explosions as he made his way to a secret bunker and inside he found the creatures he was helping. The creatures looked like squids and they can talk, not that he can understand them very well, but have difficulty moving on land. That day started rather normally for Kindo he was just flying around Metabilus five talking to their leader. The creatures of Metabilus five are very friendly and they look like a cross between a dog and a vulture. It was a nice easy going day until they flew into a wormhole and the leader of Metabilus five died from the pressure. He arrived on the other side of the wormhole and noticed his friend was just a pile of bones. After a few minutes of exploring he came across the squid people and then he started getting shot at. He didn’t know what was going on but he learned from the intergalactic writing and decided to help them. Intergalactic writing is a language that is shared throughout the universe it made communications between planets simpler. The creatures he was fighting was from Metabilus five about three hundred years in the future they found out where their leader had died and blamed Kindo for it. Kindo had started this war on accident but was impressed with their technology because Metabilus five is on the other side of the galaxy. Kindo tried to explain that it was a mistake or a misunderstanding but they had arrived two years prior to his arrival. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soarin was also flying very fast because he was late for his date with Dash. They had been going out for quite a while now and Soarin thinks it’s time to ask her the big question. Dash had been busy lately between the freak weather patterns and helping to reform Discord yesterday but today was going to be just them. Soarin finally arrived an hour late for their date and to his astonishment Dash was still waiting. “Hey Dashie.” He said casually as he landed. “Hey Soar, little late aren’t you?” She said glaring at him slightly. ‘I’m an hour late and she doesn’t seem that angry with me.’ He thought before saying “Who are you and what have you done with Rainbow Dash?” He said it jokingly but Dash transformed into a changeling and jumped at him. ^^^^^^^^^^ Soarin’s eyes shot open and he realized it was just a dream; he was relieved until he felt something touch him. Turning over as quietly as possible he saw lying beside him a sky blue mare with a rainbow colored mane. It had to have been the middle of the night because he couldn’t see very far all he could see around him was a bedside table a few inches from the bed. Soarin remembered that he went to Ponyville because Dash finally had some time off on the weekend. He remembered their impromptu date witch was just watching the last movie before the cinema shut down. To anypony else it might not seem that special but to him it meant the world. Soarin thought about the dream that woke him up and thought ‘I was going to propose to her and I was so confident about it but are we actually ready for it?’ He laid there thinking about his dream before deciding to go back to bed and let what happens happen so he cuddled with his beautiful marefriend and went to sleep. A few hours later Rainbow woke up and thought about her dream, she was late for her date with Soarin and she was thinking about proposing to him on her flight there but the Soarin that was waiting for her turned out to be a changeling. In her dream though the real Soarin showed up and defeated it helping Dash escape it’s green cocoon. Her dream ended with him giving her a kiss as the sun went out. Dash knew it was just a dream but it got her to think about marriage and if Soarin was ‘the one’. She really did love him and the more she thought about it the more she thought that they were meant to be but Dash decided to wait for Soarin to ask her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo had finally stopped the war between Metabilus five and the planet he landed on, Poosh, it took him only a few hours to end the two year war. Kindo was ready for a break so he decided to go back to Equestria and visit his daughter. The last time he saw her he didn’t even know who she was and he was ready to apologize for that but he didn’t know how. After thinking about how to make it up to her he finally decided to ask her future husband for ideas. He landed about three years in her future but on the wrong planet and judging from the stars not even the same universe. It took him a while but he figured out he was in a parallel world so something must have happened in the years he had been gone. Immediately after putting the pieces together he went back to the present. Kindo landed in present day Ponyville and according to the weather it was just before the crowning of Princess Twilight. It is a fixed point in time so he couldn’t interfere but to be productive he decided to talk to Celestia about the Wonderbolts main rules. On his flight to Canterlot he thought about his busy day and how many times he missed his target landing him on another planet or time zone. It actually took him thirty tries to get where he was now but as he walked up to the Princess he noticed she must have been waiting for a while from her posture. “Where have you been?” Celestia asked sounding like curiosity but Kindo could hear the anger in her voice. “I just saved a planet from falling into a black hole. Before that I met my future daughter, got a mare pregnant, and accidentally created a supernova. What have you done today?” Kindo said as he landed next to her. “Discord was reformed last month. I wish you would have been here to supervise his release.” “I couldn’t have been there beside everything turned out alright.” “You’re right everything is alright but I’m putting you on alert just in case.” “I’ll be ready for orders. Right now I’m off to the Wonderbolts.” Kindo said taking off. “Now that I think about it is there anything I can do to help an Element of Harmony join the ‘bolts?” Kindo asked looking at Celestia. “That rule was passed by me and my sister but it could be overruled…” Celestia looked at Kindo knowingly. “…If I took back my royal position.” Kindo finished weakly due to a sudden and massive loss of magic causing him to pass out. ^^^^^^^^ Kindo was in his room; actually it’s just a tent, waiting for his father to come back from his royal duties. His father, Commander Hurricane, had helped found Equestria with a unicorn named Princess Platinum and an earth pony named Chancellor Puddinghead. After those three founded Equestria thirty years ago they became the rulers of the land. They are usually referred to as the Kings and Queen of Equestria so Kindo was always known as the Prince. Princess Platinum had died giving birth to twins a few years ago and Chancellor Puddinghead died of an unknown disease a few months before that. Commander Hurricane is the last surviving founder and is the last King but since Princess Platinum’s daughters are too young if his father died he would be crowned King. Kindo perked up when he heard something rattling outside, he thought it was his father, but it was just a royal guard. Many ponies would like to take advantage of the newly founded land so one of the first things they did was make a royal guard. From the look on the guards face Kindo knew exactly what he was going to say and he was right. “Your father was killed in an avalanche. I’m sorry for your loss.” Kindo started crying for the first time in his life when the guard confirmed his suspicions. It took a few days to finish the royal ceremony but Kindo was crowned King of Equestria and over the next twenty years lead the new land to new heights. In twenty years he had helped construct the capitol city of Canterlot, helped thwart two invasions, and expanded the land without war. Some pegasi brought forth their dream of living in the sky so he helped build some sky cities. After twenty years as King his nieces the daughters of Queen Platinum, Celestia and Luna, were old enough to be crowned Queens. They accepted the royal duties but remained Princesses because they thought Kindo was a perfect King and didn’t want to upset the balance. It was something like that Kindo wasn’t really paying attention when they told him why. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 A secret meeting had been called in Canterlot; the ponies attending are the Wonderbolts, the Elements of Harmony, and the Princesses. The meeting was to discuss the sudden disappearance of Kindo. “Yesterday Kindo vanished right in front of me after sounding extremely weak.” Celestia said to start this meeting. “Maybe he just went back into time. He has disappeared before.” Spitfire said confused about the urgency. “Yes but never like this. He always says some form of farewell, and he never looked that drained.” Celestia answered still worried. “Well he’s a time traveler so how could we help?” Twilight asked confused. “I don’t know but we have to try something.” It was Luna that spoke up this time. “Calm down everypony. Maybe he got pulled through time, it has happened before.” Cadence spoke up. “It’s much worse that you realize.” Vectra said shortly after arriving. “Where have you been?” Celestia asked still worried. “Time, Princess and you where right he isn’t anywhere, it’s almost like he was pulled from time and space even the void is empty.” Vectra said looking depressed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo awoke in a very strange place that looked like a control room but he had never seen a spaceship controls like it before. There was nothing around so he assumed it should be safe enough until he heard what sounded like an alarm. After about five minutes if the annoying noise it shut off as something entered the room. It looked like the creature was looking for something. ‘Maybe I set off a proximity alarm when I arrived.’ He thought before coughing to alert the creature to his presence, after all it was its ship so it had a right to know. When he could finally see the creature it looked like a human but Kindo could tell it wasn’t. “You took a while to arrive this time.” It said “You’ve met me before?” he asked confused “Hundreds of times but apparently this is the day you met me.” It answered “Okay this isn’t the first time it has happened so as you know I’m Kindo and you are?” Kindo was trying to get to the point. “Oh right hello I’m the Doctor.” “What species are you?” Kindo asked still trying to clarify. “I’m a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous.” He answered. “Obvious question where and when am I?” “Messaline in the year 500,000 and I need your help.” “All right Doctor how can I help?” “This planet is falling into a black hole. Is there any way to stop it?” “Maybe, do my powers still work?” “Powers, what powers?” “Giant rainbow colored ring can I still make it?” “Yes but how can that help?” Kindo took off towards the black hole at extremely high speeds performing at least six Sonic Rainbooms before reaching the black hole. He used the intense gravity of the black hole to propel himself faster than ever before and when he finally got up to speed near the center. His timing had to be perfect otherwise he would fall through the black hole into the void and die. As he reached the center he performed one last Sonic Rainboom and the explosion cancelled out the implosion restarting the star. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Life in Equestria went on almost like normal since Vectra wasn’t as good at keeping alien invaders out of sight as Kindo was. She never realized how often they were being attacked in the two weeks he was gone she had to deal with seven attacks. ‘I don’t know how he does this and still has time for travelling.’ she thought when she noticed more ships arriving. ‘There’s too many of them. This planet is going to be blow out of the sky before I can stop them all.’ All of a sudden the spaceships turn around and try to fly away as the lead ship is destroyed but none of them get out of the solar system before they are all destroyed. At the end of the explosions Vectra thought she saw Kindo before he disappeared again. Thinking it was him she checked the time vortex again and this time she saw the wrinkles from somepony leaving the vortex. Vectra leaves the vortex and finds Kindo flying in space watching a supernova. When she approaches him though he disappears and this time the vortex was still and the void was empty. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “How do I get back?” Kindo asked as he landed in the TARDIS. “I have no idea.” The Doctor said nonchalantly. “Great, it’s been what two weeks since I got here.” “Yeah and you can’t get home” As the Doctor says that Kindo appears in the sky. “Ah… perfect timing. Get me home.” Younger Kindo asked his older version. “We just have to focus on the EoH. It gives us the power to return.” “It’s interesting that we use that parasite to travel through time and space.” “Actually this is a different universe entirely.” “That is very interesting. Thanks for the help though.” Younger Kindo said as he vanished in a flash of blue light. “He still doesn’t know does he?” Older Kindo asked the Doctor. “Well…no not yet. I thought it best to let him enjoy his first time here.” The Doctor said sadly. “Don’t let him enjoy it too much now.” Kindo said giving the Doctor an evil look. “Don’t worry I will never keep you here too long.” “I trust you Doctor but I must take my leave as well.” Kindo said before disappearing in a flash of blue light. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo is flying past an enormous ball of living energy, the largest power source in existence, hidden in the dark space between universes. The void separates parallel worlds, and realities within each universe but the dark space keeps entire universes separated. To survive in the dark space requires an extremely powerful shield. The dark space is devoid of life, except the living energy, because of the gravity witch is over five million times more powerful than a black hole not to mention sometimes the energy shoots off a few trillion volts every now and then. Passing though the dark space Kindo arrives back in his universe only to find it under attack and judging from the ships it was the dragons of Turelia. After destroying the ships Kindo left that time zone to watch his favorite event, a supernova, but he senses Vectra approaching and leaves. Kindo didn’t want to talk to Vectra especially now that he has met the Doctor and River Song since their lives were too similar for his liking. Not ready to face the possibility of him and Vectra as a couple yet Kindo hides in the dark space in orbit around the EoH. Kindo was thinking about what he had seen in the other universe and from the looks of the dark space there could be hundreds or thousands. Kindo spent two days talking to the largest power supply in existence before he realized that he was going to be late. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today is the day of Twilight’s coronation and everypony is excited about it, well almost everypony. There are a few who think Twilight isn't ready to be a Princess and one of them is the soon-to-be Princess herself. Twilight was barely able to manage her nerves as she made her acceptance speech to almost all of Equestria. Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were there to watch along with the other Elements of Harmony but of all the ponies watching one pony went unseen, unseen but not ignored. “I’m surprised you’re here.” Celestia whispered as the Elements of Harmony walked onto the platform. “I was at every royal coronation. Why would I miss this one?” Kindo whispered. “You weren't there for mine.” Cadence whispered with a tinge of disappointment in her voice. “Yes I was but I was being more subtle. It’s hard for a Princess to miss the magic it takes for invisibility but noticing an afterimage is much harder. I was the only cloud in the sky that day.” “I noticed.” Celestia said earning a look of astonishment from Kindo but his invisibility prevented the effect. “Beside tonight is so much more important and I would rip the universe apart to attend.” Kindo said proudly after regaining his composure. “What happens tonight?” Luna asked curiously. “Oh… it’s nothing royal or fancy.” Kindo said nonchalantly. As the coronation day wound down and Luna put her moon in the sky Kindo was waiting for somepony to arrive. Standing on the balcony where Twilight made her speech earlier today Kindo was still waiting, waiting and thinking. He thought about what had happened on his way here since the coronation was a fixed point Kindo had a lot of trouble landing and nearly lost both of his wings trying. ‘If I had that much trouble getting here then she must have waited.’ He thought recounting the times he had met her. The first time was definitely created by him but as he thought about her something impossible happened, he blushed. Kindo had never blushed before in his life, not when he got drunk at that party sixteen years ago and got a mare pregnant, not when he almost had to marry the Queen of Turelia, and not on the most embarrassing day of his life. After almost six hours of waiting she appeared in the purple flash that he was accustomed to. Vectra arrived only to find Kindo not only waiting but blushing as well. She was surprised that he seemed to be not only confused but distraught and she never expected what happened next. “There’s something I need to know and there is only one way to find out.” Kindo said as seriously as he could before he trotted up to her. “What has you so dis-” Vectra was silenced as Kindo planted a deep passionate kiss on her lips. Vectra was shocked that he did that but after a moment she gave into the kiss. It was their first kiss but they both knew it wouldn’t be their last. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 “What brought that on? Not that I mind.” Vectra asked as they broke the kiss. “To tell you the truth while I was away I met a man called the Doctor and a woman named River Song. They are both time travelers but they almost never meet in the right order. They seemed to be in the same situation we are but I found out that at one point in time they got married.” Kindo explained. “So that kiss was just a test? What were the results?” Vectra asked teasingly but also a little hurt. “It’s too early to say but I know I liked it. Mind if we do it again?” Kindo finished nervously. “For the record…” Vectra said before she started to close the gap. “I liked it too.” She finished quietly before closing the gap and kissing Kindo again. Vectra thought back to when she first met him. ******* “Vectra!” Kindo yelled trying to get her attention but she ignored him. After getting closer to her he yelled again. “Vectra!” Vectra was fighting in the battle of Rexacore a battle between the two tribes of Rexacore but the results were fixed. The end was a fixed point in time but the battle itself was in flux and Kindo knew that if this point fluxed too much it would create another fixed point. “Violet!” Kindo yelled using her real name to show he was serious. “What?!” She yelled and turned to face him but obviously not recognizing Kindo. “How long have you been time traveling?” Kindo asked as seriously as he could while hiding his pain. “This is my first trip actually.” She said and Kindo realized that she didn’t even know her chosen name. “You can’t change this point in history.” Kindo warned her knowingly. “Sure I can it is in flux.” She asked confused. “That’s not the point. The point is that the outcome is fixed and changing this flux would create another fixed point.” Kindo said teary-eyed. “I’m sorry.” She said looking to what she used to consider enemies just before her bombs went off. The point in time fluxed throwing both time travelers into the time vortex. “You’re a time traveler now and that means that there are rules. Rule 2: a fluxing fixed point is the most dangerous point to mess with.” Kindo informed her. “If that’s Rule 2 then what’s rule 1?” she asked. “Don’t reveal too much to your past self.” Kindo said trying not to make it obvious that he was lying. “Any other rules I should know about?” she asked knowing how bad she just messed up. “Don’t intervene in your own timeline, stay out of the dark space between universes, and when you meet me again make sure you know where we are.” Kindo said summing up a majority of the important rules. “Is that it?” she asked knowing that there was more to it. “One last thing, choose a name for yourself so that other creatures with time travel can’t track down a past version of you.” Kindo said knowing what name she would pick. “Do you have a name time guy?” Violet asked almost demandingly. “My name is Kenneth Nathan Dashery but I chose the name Kindo.” He said before going back into the time vortex. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few hours after the coronation Dash is napping on a cloud but she doesn’t know that she isn’t alone. Soarin had landed on the cloud a few inches away and waited for her to wake up. While he was waiting he couldn’t help but think about the dream he had a while ago. Eventually Dash woke up and Soarin was absolutely sure about what he was going to do next. “Hey Soar.” Dash said groggily. “Hey Dashie.” Soarin said causing Dash to blush at her pet name. “What are you doing in Ponyville?” she asked causing him to look confused before laughing. “We’re not in Ponyville, Dashie. We’re in Canterlot.” Soarin explained as Dash looked around. “Why are we still in Canterlot?” Dash asked before she remembered everything about earlier. ******* Twilight had just walked off the balcony and Dash was flying around Canterlot until she ran into something. She looked around and didn’t see anything but she was sure she heard a pony groan. Rainbow Dash tried to take off but once again ran into something but there was no noise this time. Taking a better look around her she noticed that she was in a deserted alley just outside of Canterlot Castle. “Hey Dash.” Kindo said as he released his invisibility. “Dad!” Rainbow almost yelled in surprise causing Kindo to cringe at her tone. “Listen Rainbow I just wanted to say that I’m sorry about a few years ago. To be completely honest you were in my future so I didn’t know at the time.” Kindo said as he shed some tears hopeful she might understand. “I was in your future?” Dash asked looking completely bewildered. “Yes you were and if you want I could show you what my life is like.” Kindo asked lowering the shield that was keeping her grounded and him from turning away. After a second he raised a hoof to her. “I don’t understand.” She said still trying to figure out what is going on. “You will. With or without my help you will, eventually.” Kindo said getting quieter as he went on. “Okay you get one chance.” Dash said seriously but still not fully understanding everything. ****** Soarin knew he had to snap her out of it when she started sweating, screaming, and crying. When he looked at her now it seemed almost impossible that she was the Dash he knew. Dash was proud, brave, talented, beautiful, and colorful. The mare in front of him was weak, horrified, crying, screaming, and all of the color had left her beautiful mane and tail. Soarin knew it wasn’t a good idea but it was the only one he had at the time. Soarin smacked Dash and almost instantly she returned to normal as if she didn’t just become the opposite of her. With Dash back to normal though Soarin got a good smack back from her. He was actually happy that she hit him because it meant that she was herself again. “What was that for Soarin?!” She yelled after she smacked him back. “You were acting really strange and you were crying so I had to bring you back to reality.” Soarin explained. Dash touched her eye and felt that Soarin was right. “Oh…sorry.” She said feeling bad for hitting him earlier. “Why are you here anyway?” She asked with newfound curiosity. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 “I’m so sorry.” Vectra said looking at a severely injured Rainbow Dash. “At least you tried.” Dash said weakly before turning her head away to look at Time Lake. “I couldn’t have prevented this.” Kindo said as he rose from the center of the lake. “You didn’t even try!” Vectra yelled at him as she trotted over to him. “This is a fixed point in time, this happens this always happens.” Kindo said trying to be strong. “I’m sorry Dashie; I did try to prevent this fixed point.” Kindo said as he started to cry. “How do you prevent a fixed point?” Vectra asked wanting to undo this. “Don’t make me answer that.” Kindo said almost completely breaking down. “Why not! Tell me!” Vectra demanded but Kindo was just staring at his daughter. “The first time we met.” Kindo answered dryly giving her a quick glance but remaining focused on Dash. “Goodbye Daddy and tell Soarin I love him.” Dash said knowing she didn’t have much time left. “I love you and I will never forget you.” Kindo said finally breaking down. Vectra was watching them say goodbye and Kindo completely breaking down, it looked like he couldn’t move. ‘The first time I met him!’ Vectra thought as she realized this was the fixed point that was created and Kindo did try and stop it. He tried very hard to stop this; he had warned Spitfire with a letter, talked to the Princesses and the EoH itself, even gathered information from every corner of creation. Dash finally stopped breathing and Kindo perked up from an idea that he had. Kindo took Dash over to Time Lake and gently placed her at the edge of the water allowing her hoof to touch the water. Kindo walked into the center of Time Lake and Vectra realized what he was doing. “Don’t do it!” she yelled trying to stop him but she ran into a barrier stopping her from interfering. “How old are you now Vectra?” Kindo said in his usual tone. “I am one hundred and eight. Why?” Vectra asked unsure of what he was getting at. “You don’t even know me that well then. This is only our third meeting.” Kindo said almost asking. “This is the third time alright but I know you well enough to know that I would like to see you again.” “I’m twelve thousand six hundred and twenty one, if you want to see me again go to Canterlot in the year 890 DC that is when I met you. Now go I don’t want you to see this.” Kindo finished just as a blue light surrounded him and his daughter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rainbow Dash and Soarin were standing on a cloud near Canterlot Castle and Soarin was looking very nervous. Dash was getting impatient with Soarin because he hasn’t done or said anything in about a half hour but she knew he was going to do something… eventually. Mustering all of his courage Soarin finally asked “Rainbow Miriam Dashery will you marry me?” as he said that he pulled out a deep red box and opened it to reveal a silver band with a diamond in the center. Dash was a little stunned but completely overjoyed. “Yes Soarin of course I’ll marry you.” She said trying to remain calm and turning so he could put the ring on her wing. As soon as Soarin put the ring on Dash’s left wing she whirred around and gave him a long deep kiss. They didn’t know that they were being watched by somepony but the pony that was watching had seen all he needed to. Satisfied with seeing their engagement again Kindo left for a very important day, the day she died. Kindo couldn’t stop her death but there was still a chance to save her. “One last stop…” Kindo said to himself as he flew through the time vortex and exited about six months later. He arrived in Canterlot gardens and it had all the bells and whistles for a wedding. Rarity had done the dresses and decorated, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and the Cakes made the food, Fluttershy made the music, and Twilight had organized and had a few fireworks planned for later. There were quite a few ponies in attendance, even he although he was a lot younger back then. If this was going to be the last thing he saw then he was happy to attend again. The wedding went by fairly quickly and Kindo knew if he stuck around too long he would find himself. Kindo wished he could attend his funeral but with there being so many versions of himself all throughout history it would be too dangerous. It was finally time for him to make his most dangerous journey yet so he used his oldest way of time travel. Kindo flew to Time Lake where the barrier was weakest and walked into the center to activate his magic and make his last journey through time. When he arrived he saw his daughter looking at him like he should have done something. After Vectra left Kindo began the transference ceremony, he was going to use the EoH to literally rip out his life force. As soon as his life force was out he was going to give it to his daughter, every last drop just in case. Dash had died so this shouldn’t rip the world apart and somepony will die today so it should be happy anyway. It hurt immensely as expected and he was slowly dying from the process but he could see her colors becoming bright again. Dash’s chest started to slowly rise and fall and with each passing minute he could see her heartbeat return to normal. Kindo had done his job but he didn’t have enough life force to survive so he used the EoH energy to scatter his atoms though time and space. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was time for the Grand Galloping Gala and everypony was excited about it, well everypony that was going. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna had arrived a few minutes before the Gala started and watched everypony that came in. The first to arrive was Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor followed by Princess Twilight Sparkle. Shortly after the Gala started the Elements of Harmony arrived with their coltfriends, Rainbow Dash and Soarin, Rarity and Fancypants, Pinkie Pie and Pokey, Applejack and Caramel, and finally Fluttershy and Big Mac. The Gala was now in full swing and everypony was inside when a few royal guards blew trumpets as two ponies came in, the mare had a deep red mane, light blue coat, and light green eyes and the stallion had a red  crown covering his mane, black coat with a red fur cape, and blue eyes. “Announcing the arrival of Queen Vectra and King Kindo.” One of the guards said professionally. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 Kindo was flying through space about five hundred thousand miles from Abydos but as he rounded Luna’s moon he noticed his home planet was under attack. He instantly recognized the space ships, something that shouldn’t exist in this universe. “DALEKS!” Kindo yelled as soon as he seen the spaceships just outside the planet’s atmosphere. On the planet’s surface somepony else recognized the spaceships and she immediately went to warn the Princesses. Upon arrival Vectra rushed into the royal chambers shouting, “Emergency Code 771.” Within minutes the entire Equestria military was in the war room awaiting the Princesses arrival. “The threat that we are facing is a race of robotic aliens called Daleks,” Celestia said as she entered with the other Princesses. “From what we know their technology is extremely superior to our own,” Twilight continued. “Our strongest weapons and magic couldn’t even scratch the paint,” Vectra said as she entered. “What do you know about the Daleks, Vectra?” Luna quickly asked. “I have run into them before but that was an entirely different universe,” Vectra answered as the Elements of Harmony activated to reveal a holographic Kindo. “The Daleks wish to extinguish every race that isn’t Dalek, they are the ultimate supremacists,” Kindo said. “Can we-” Cadence started asking but Vectra stepped in by asking, “How are you still alive?” “Vectra, can we please talk about that when our planet isn’t about to be destroyed?” Kindo asked before looking at Cadence and saying, “I honestly don’t know if we can stop them.” “Then what are we going to do?” Celestia asked trying to get to the point. “With your permission Princesses, I would like to drain the Elements to add their magic to my own,” Kindo answered. “How many ships are we looking at?” Luna asked as they consider his request. “I have flow around the planet and counted-” Kindo gulped and started looking afraid “-over twelve million battleships.” “If your plan has any chance of success then I support your actions,” Cadence said and Celestia and Luna also agreed but Twilight was still worried about this. “I hate to say this in a time of crisis but if the other Princesses trust you then I also approve of draining the Elements of Harmony,” Twilight finally said. “Thank you Princesses and wish me luck,” Kindo said as his hologram disappeared and the Elements turned black. Everypony rushed outside to see what he was going to do. “That is insanely stupid,” Vectra said as she flew outside and saw that the sky was turning red. “What’s wrong with my sun?” Celestia asked as she flew next to Vectra. “Nothing, that idiot has enveloped this entire planet in an enormous force field,” Vectra said angrily. “Will it work though?” Celestia asked remaining focused on the force field. “No not with that amount of power the force field is too thin the Dalek weaponry will obliterate it,” Vectra answered truthfully. “How much more power will he need?” Twilight asked as she joined them albeit with a lot of trouble. “More than we could-” Vectra started saying as purple clouds appeared in the sky “I gotta get above these clouds,” Vectra said before flying higher. Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and the Wonderbolts followed Vectra above the purple clouds to notice that the shield has also turned purple. “What does this mean?” Spitfire asked when she noticed the new sky color. “He is playing a very dangerous game but the force field is now strong enough to bounce their firepower back at them,” Vectra answered in complete disbelief. “Captain, look over there,” Surprise said pointing out a glowing blue point just outside the city. “What is that?” Spitfire said when she noticed what looked like a ball of blue lightning. “Kindo,” Vectra whispered when she saw the pure EoH energy being floating in the air. “They are attacking!” Luna yelled using her Royal Canterlot voice and she was right their ships where now in position to wipe out all life on the planet. “Here it comes,” Kindo whispered to himself when he noticed their ships preparing to fire. The next two minutes passed like years but finally the Dalek fleet fired upon the planet only to have their blasts bounce off the shield. When the blasts bounced off the shield it destroyed the entire Dalek battle fleet but Kindo had a massive power loss to deal with. Vectra flew as fast as she could to catch Kindo before he fell to his death but to her surprise he just vanished. Over the next three years the only Kindo that Vectra has run into is younger versions of her coltfriend and some of them were even before they started dating but life in Equestria continued on as usual. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Wonderbolts HQ about two years before Kindo defeated the Daleks, the Commander’s office started glowing. The first pony to notice was Fleetfoot who immediately went to get the Commander himself. A few minutes later Commander Kindo arrived to see a holographic image of the last creature he wanted to see. “It’s been quite a while,” Kindo said surprised about who called. “It’s been far too long, Commander. How is your daughter?” the hologram asked. “Oh…well Dashie is just fine. I still keep tabs on her. Why did you call?” Kindo asked trying to get this over with. “I didn’t call to annoy you but to remind you to watch out for ‘him’ and to never allow his release,” the hologram asked almost begging. “You think I could forget the monster that killed me and my wife?” Kindo asked angrily. “No I am just asking you to be more careful,” the hologram replied. “Believe me I never intend to harness the full power of the EoH ever again,” he replied as the hologram disappeared. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Wonderbolts HQ one year after Kindo defeated the Daleks, a familiar pegasus walked the halls once again. He was finally back after his other half had its’ fun and wiped a few planets out of the sky, luckily he still had some control so they were all uninhabited. He was walking though the halls thinking about the first time the beast took over. ‘The first time it took control it turned a simple factory overload into an enormous explosion that destroyed an entire city, my wife included. At least Dashie was over at her godparents’ house in Cloudsdale but my wife was just outside the building. I turned a small explosion that might have destroyed just the factory into a big one that took out the city. I barely have any control when it takes over.’ Kindo came back to reality when he noticed that nopony was at the Wonderbolts HQ. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12 In the TARDIS console room the Doctor was talking to himself as he was piloting the TARDIS to Stormcage. He opened the doors and a woman stepped in. All of a sudden the TARDIS beeped and the Doctor left her side to see why. “River!” the Doctor yelled looking worried. “Why didn’t you tell me?” “Tell you what sweetie?” River asked a bit confused. “You’re pregnant!” the Doctor yelled sounding more from disbelief than from anger. “I am?!” River said sounding just as surprised as the Doctor. “You didn’t know?” the Doctor said surprised the TARDIS had never said before. “According to the TARDIS you’re about eight months along now.” “How could I not have noticed?” River said completely bewildered. “Time Lord Pregnancies are different than human ones. They usually don’t show any signs until about a month before the child is born,” The Doctor explained. “What are we going to do? Madame Kovarian is definitely going to track us down to get her hands on our child,” River said deeply worried. “I’m going to call in some protection. She is not getting our baby,” the Doctor said very stern and pulled out a little gold and silver ball. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo had just defeated the Daleks and was falling to his death when he was teleported out of his universe to help an old friend of his. At first Kindo was almost angry but when he thought of his fate back in Equestria his mood changed toward this unwanted interruption. “What is it Doctor?” Kindo said looking straight at the Doctor with anger in his eyes but then his expression changed. “We need your help.” River said looking at Kindo pleadingly. “Well of course you do. He” -Kindo looked back to the Doctor- “wouldn’t have brought me from my universe to his for something stupid.” Kindo did something strange, after seeing the look on both the Doctor’s and River’s faces, he trotted over to River and sniffed her. “She’s pregnant,” Kindo said nonchalantly but the look in his eyes said ‘Now I get it.’ “Will you help us?” the Doctor asked his oldest friend with an almost broken voice. “If it’s got you this worried then of course,” Kindo answered quickly. “Are we safe here?” the Doctor asked but Kindo just took off flying through the TARDIS corridors. “No, there was over a hundred of the Silence in the TARDIS,” Kindo said not a hint of worry in his voice. “They are memory proof so how can he remember them?” River asked still confused. “Different universe I think,” Kindo said. “Did you dispose of them?” the Doctor asked. “Of course I did but if they were already in here then the TARDIS isn’t safe here beside I can’t stick around for a month,” Kindo explained. “So what can we do, Kindo?” River asked concerned for her child. “You could always” –Kindo looked at the Doctor- “follow me home. My universe is safe it usually is.” The Doctor obviously didn’t really like this idea but he eventually said, “Yes, your right. Kindo would you take the lead?” “Of course,” Kindo said as he approached the doors and the Doctor opened them with a snap of his fingers. “Where are we going?” River asked before Kindo left. “I’ll let you try and explain it,” Kindo said leaving to pull the TARDIS back to his universe. “We are going to a planet called…uhhh, Kindo!” the Doctor yelled hoping he could answer him. “My planet is called Abydos,” Kindo said sounding annoyed the he one again forgot. “Right we are going-” the TARDIS shakes as they begin their journey. “-to Abydos and probably going to land in the country of Equestria,” the Doctor answered. “Abydos? How do I know that name?” River said as the TARDIS shook violently indicating they were in the dark space. “You are a child of the TARDIS correct?” Kindo asked as he entered the TARDIS. “Yeah but what does that have to do with anything?” River asked hoping for a straight answer. “I help power the TARDIS so you have traces of my life in your memories,” Kindo answered as clearly as he could. “You help power my TARDIS?” the Doctor said looking between Kindo and the TARDIS console. “Over there is my soul,” Kindo clarified looking out the doors. The Doctor and River approached the doors and saw his ‘soul’, a giant ball of multicolored energy. “The EoH!” the Doctor said in surprise. “The what?” River questioned. “The EoH, largest power supply in existence so large in fact it is alive,” Kindo explained. “You called it your soul. Why?” they both asked almost simultaneously. “I created it about twelve thousand years ago but I paid a terrible price. I lost-” Kindo stopped when the TARDIS shook violently and Kindo left to direct it through his time vortex, after a few minutes they landed. “Where are we?” River asked looking around. “I don’t know never been here before,” The Doctor said before Kindo could. “We are inside a mysterious forest filled with danger. The people of this planet call it the Everfree forest but we aren’t too far in just enough to be out of sight. This place is mysterious so a random blue box that doesn’t exist yet will not be easily noticed,” Kindo answered. “So, Now what?” River asked obviously already bored but Kindo just walked back into the TARDIS. “Connect to the EoH power supply, Code 42,” Kindo said and the TARDIS lights turned blue. “EoH power supply connected,” the TARDIS said in a mechanical voice. “There,” –Kindo turned to face the Doctor and River- “now you can explore my universe and everything in it. I will warn you that 300DC is pretty boring and do not run into me.” “How long have you been gone in this universe?” the Doctor asked. “You noticed the time shift huh? Well if you must know it’s been about a year since you pulled me through,” Kindo answered. “Well what hospital would you recommend?” River asked obviously wanting a great hospital for her child. “I would like to recommend the Cloudsdale hospital but the Telior hospital on Reja Magnum is the best in this universe and they will deliver aliens,” Kindo said before he left for the Wonderbolts HQ. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Kindo arrived back at the Wonderbolts HQ and was walking towards his office when he saw somepony he wasn’t expecting. “Twilight, what are you doing here?” he asked as she turned around. “To be honest I’m looking for you,” she said looking for any signs of damage on him. “No I’m not injured,” Kindo said rolling his eyes. As she stopped he said, “What do you want Princess?” “You’re needed in Canterlot. Princess Celestia needs a word with you in private,” Twilight explained. “Well then lead the way,” Kindo said before bowing and pointing his hoof towards the door. Twilight simply nodded and lead Kindo back to Canterlot but his mind wouldn’t stop racing along the way. As they entered they saw the other three Princesses but they didn’t have their crowns on witch could only mean one thing. “No matter how many times you ask the answer is still NO!” Kindo almost yelled that last part. “Think again,” Luna said as she levitated a scroll over to Kindo and he read it before giving a sigh of defeat. “When is it then?” Kindo said sadly. “One week from today just as you instructed,” Cadence answered but Celestia kept eye contact with Kindo throughout without saying anything. “Is there something wrong niece?” Kindo said with genuine concern in his voice. “She is afraid of the ceremony but according to your orders now is the best time for it to happen,” Luna answered while Celestia stood there like a statue. “I hate to interrupt but I’m having problems breathing,” Twilight said weakly as everypony saw that she was being held by a statue of a pegasus. “It was a trap,” Kindo said in disbelief of the statue. “What is it?” Cadence, Luna, and Twilight asked almost simultaneously. “A species called the weeping angels. Usually they zap you back into the past and make you live to death but the castle is under my protection. They must have followed me from another universe,” Kindo explained staring not at Twilight but at the statue. “Do they have any weaknesses?” Luna asked before Cadence screamed but Kindo kept looking at the weeping angel holding Twilight. “They can’t move as long as another living creature is looking. When unseen they are extremely fast but when something is looking at them they freeze into statues. Their not what I’m worried about though,” Kindo explained. “What are you worried about then?” Celestia finally spoke up. “Angel Celey I’m worried about my better half,” Kindo said knowing perfectly well the feeling he was getting. “Why did you call her that and what better half?” Twilight asked. “I’m sorry Twilight but the angels needed a voice and Celestia said and did nothing when the angel grabbed you. As for my better half well that is when things start dying. What do you want Angels? Why keep us alive?” Kindo asked in a pompous and superior tone. “We keep you alive for entertainment and nothing else,” Celestia said trying to hide something. “Oh that’s right; you can’t feast off another universe’s time energy. Time energy is on different wavelengths in each universe because it helps to keep them separated.” Kindo said as he finished figuring it out. “Pretty smart for an average pony out of his time,” Celestia said in a monotone voice no longer hiding her connection with the weeping angels. “Yes well it seems were both out of time now,” Kindo struggled to say as the energy inside him rose. The short time traveler suddenly started getting taller and a horn grew out of his head. Kindo was shorter than most ponies being only about three and a half feet tall but now he had to be at least eleven feet. In his alicorn mode Kindo’s rainbow mane and tail becomes a flaming red color, his black coat turns an electric blue, and his emerald green eyes turn a snow white with some energy flowing out the sides. The battle between him and the weeping angels went by in a flash since his alicorn state is overflowing with energy. Kindo defeated both angels before they could move and thanks to his three day conversation with the EoH returned to his normal pegasus form. Kindo looked at all of the Princesses that were just staring at his transformation until they noticed Celestia on the ground tiring to recover from being an angel. “What was that?!” Cadence was the first to speak up. “My alicorn form I didn’t just become a King because of birth right you know,” Kindo said as he walked over to Celestia. “Okay so Celestia and Luna control the sun and moon, Cadence can control love, and I can control magic but what can you control?” Twilight summarized both to see if she was right and to make a point. “You are right about that Twilight and I can control the EoH. That’s the largest power supply in existence and it even powers the Elements of Harmony to help keep it stable,” Kindo answered in a modest tone. “Since when can you control the EoH?” Luna asked knowing Kindo and his powers well. “I’ve always had some control over it but I have been able to have full control for the last four years.” Kindo looked at Celestia and scanned her with his magic before saying, “She’ll be fine. She just has a little headache along with some dehydration.” “What happened?” Celestia asked dryly as she regained consciousness. “Touch of an angel. It couldn’t zap you back in time because the castle has a time barrier around it so it used angel dust to transform you into an angel,” Kindo explained. The week just flew by and Kindo commissioned Rarity for a bigger crown so he could be another alicorn for his second coronation. Rainbow Dash gladly accepted doing a Sonic Rainboom for his coronation but is still having problems accepting that she will technically become a Princess. Kindo was even able to clear the day so that the Wonderbolts could perform. The turnout for his coronation was enormous since this will be the first time in nearly three thousand years that Equestria has had a King. The coronation was amazing after Kindo said a few words to the public Dash did a Sonic Rainboom and then the Wonderbolts performed. After the Wonderbolts disappeared from the sky Kindo performed a Double Rainboom to finish off his coronation. “With the way you were talking about it you sure made this a spectacle,” Celestia said as Kindo landed. “Yes well my fiancé talked me into it,” Kindo admitted as a blush shone through his electric blue coat. “You’re getting married?!” Luna said flabbergasted. “You did seem to have a problem with the idea almost two thousand years ago,” Celestia said teasingly causing Kindo and Luna to blush at the memory. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 Almost every creature in existence was silent as the icy-cold soul-sucking darkness of space suddenly became brighter than any star in existence. Every creature that had ever met him knew exactly what that meant but luckily and to everything’s horror it only lasted a few seconds. As the light faded and creatures remorse another effect went almost completely unnoticed. All of Equestria was visibly depressed as the light faded but one sky blue pony had noticed that when the light faded her brilliant rainbow mane was disappearing. Her mane turned a ghostly white and looked almost translucent but while it returned to normal her mane was now a striking light red color. “This is a story of something that could have been avoided but it wasn’t and it was all because of one pony. I’m getting ahead of myself though. It all started exactly five years ago…” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindo had finally finished preparations for his wedding witch took a lot longer to complete then he had thought. His first marriage and it was already overly complicated but he finally had it complete and all of his friends and family were there. The wedding took place on a little hill overlooking Time Lake. It was an enormous turnout The Doctor, River and their son Jason decided to attend before leaving for their own universe. His daughter, Rainbow Dash and her husband, Soarin attended with their daughter, Violet, his father, Commander Blaze Hurricane, his mother, Fiora, and his son had all come today to see him finally tie the knot after almost twenty thousand years of helping civilizations. Kindo seemed to be enjoying the after-party with his new bride but after a while he just stopped what he was doing and looked into the sky. Of course everypony else wanted to know why so they looked into the sky as well. Everypony started waving as the TARDIS was leaving for its own universe and everypony was satisfied with that being the case. Kindo kept staring into the sky almost waiting for something and Vectra knew something as well and she took everypony back to their time zone. After about an hour of watching and waiting a blue sphere fell from the sky and inside it was another version of Kindo. The Kindo that fell was apparently a younger version and the older one took off ready to fight. It didn’t take long for his opponent, a completely purple alicorn with white mist coming from the form, to arrive. -Kindo’s POV- “I knew you would come here today,” I informed her. “You never appreciated the powers I gave you,” She said knowingly but obviously very angry. “I always appreciated the powers but not your recent mindset,” I stated knowing it didn’t matter. “So you kept saying the last 19,906 years but I will never believe you,” She blurted out in a deep voice. “It seems one of us “lower life form” was right. You would make an excellent Dalek,” I said trying to get it to loosen its grasp on her. “I suppose so,” It said in a deeper voice indicating that she had no control. “I guess we will have to fight for all of creation then?” I say more as a question hoping I was wrong but ready to remove my power dampening watch just in case. “Dextrus Wave,” It said releasing a wave of energy that usually stuns but I removed my watch just in time for the usual tower of white light to protect me. The white light is all of the power that was just added to my magic ripping my form away and replacing it with and alicorn figure. The newfound energy can’t be contained and it turns my new form white as it leaks out but mainly from my back, mane, and tail. “Trinity Blast!” I yell and the energy shifts inside me building in my mouth and eyes quickly before I tense certain muscles and the energy is released in a red blast powerful enough to rip a hole in the fabric of reality. The hole leads to the dark space and the blast was able to force my opponent through. “Eacquaus beam,” It said firing a green energy beam from its mouth at me. “Souzano shield,” I quickly said to form a protective yellow shield around me and readied to fire shortly after the blast had passed. When the blast finally stopped I returned fire with an Eacquaus beam of my own. ~~~~~~Equestria~~~~~ Everypony was watching the battle through the tear in reality as the younger Kindo woke up. He knew that his older self would have a hard time fighting her but he also knew that his other self had to fight alone. Kindo walked up to everypony while their eyes were fixed on the battle that very few knew the fight would decide the fate of every corner of creation. He knew Vectra had to be fighting hard if it even needs to use vocal commands to redirect the energy in her body. It looked like he was doing fine but if he saw the outcome then he could never change the future. As Kindo was lost in his thoughts Twilight and her friends had approached him probably for answers. ~~~~~~Earth 1902~~~~~ “It just stopped River!” The Doctor yelled obviously annoyed that the TARDIS had shut down. “What are we going to do now?” River asked half-heartedly. “Watch the match,” The Doctor suggested when he noticed that the monitor was showing Kindo’s battle. “What match?” River asked genuinely curious as she walked over to the Doctor. “This match that might very well decide the fate of creation,” the Doctor said quietly when River got next to him. River looked like she was going to say something but the whole planet shook before she could. “What was that?!” River almost yelled in concern. “I think that was from the battle,” the Doctor said without looking away from the monitor. ~~~~~Battle~~~~~ The EoH definitely had the upper hand in this battle but Kindo wasn’t out of tricks just yet. His plan is daring though and if he were to do anything not absolutely perfect all of creation would be ripped to shreds. There were only two elements of this plan he had no control over the first being if the paradox machine would break he would be back where he started. Kindo didn’t notice it but the EoH was already ripping apart the fabric of reality and the dark space they were fighting in could be seen in every universe. With the dark space exposed like that the laws of physics began to merge and when it finished nothing would be able to survive. “It looks like I lose,” Kindo said sadly and the EoH just gave an evil grin. Kindo was really badly hurt but at this rate he really would die before his opponent but Kindo finished his statement anyway, “but you lose too.” “You could obviously destroy me any time now,” It said. Finally looking at his enemy the EoH decided to finish the job with an enormously powerful dark blue beam called, “Draconaus blast.” Kindo had almost no time to react to his third strongest attack, an attack that could easily destroy fifteen galaxies. He immediately kicked off his tail ring to bring every drop of energy that his past versions could spare to him but it might not be enough. With only seconds to spare Kindo decided to use his strongest attack, an attack so powerful and precise it can only be used once before his form disintegrates from the energy use. Kindo yelled at the top of his lungs, “DESTINY DESTROYER!” His body instantly charges towards the EoH so fast and small he destroys the very consciousness inside it. With this final attack both combatants die and the form he was fighting was released from her mind control and fainted. ~~~~~Equestria~~~~ “Everypony gathered was no longer watching the fight but asking the younger Kindo some questions about the powerful blasts being used. A large dark blue beam shot across the sky and barely missed blasting the sun to pieces. Everypony heard the final attack and in an enormous golden flash that light up every black corner of space for a few seconds the fight for creation was finally over,” Rainbow Dash said and the entire class cheered. Rainbow Dash normally wouldn’t tell stories to anypony except her friends but she had made a promise to her father to tell his final tale. Every year on the day it happened she would tell the story to everypony in Ponyville Elementary but today as she left she noticed a young colt with a deep blue coat and a rainbow colored mane. She couldn’t stop looking at the little colt since she knew the importance of the rainbow mane and she could only think, ‘Maybe this story isn’t over yet.’
