When I was born, I was very sick and my parents were devastated. They could cure me, but they had to either just kill me off as a baby, or take me away from my parents to a scientist who could fix me by doing terrible things to me. They of course chose the scientist. As they took me away I of course tried to fly away but my wings weren’t ready. The scientist, which was a young unicorn mare with purple eyes, magenta skin, and a dark purple and pink mane, was going to have to do terrifying things. She said I would not remember it, but I sadly did. As I think about my parents, alone and sad without me my foster parent rubs my black and purple mane. I usually back away with despair, but not this time. This time I hug her and she hugs me back. “I’m sorry you remember them. I tried my best to give you the memory spell.” she says. Then I do back away. “It hurt mommy.” I say starting to cry. I can tell her mind is blown. My eyes widen as I see that I just called her mommy. “I know it hurt but the doctor said that I had to do it.” She says as she puts her hoof on my head. The doctor didn't say you had to do it she made you! I think to myself I did not like being shocked by that dumb magic. Twilight is my only hope of family and friends. “Ok Lightning its bed time. Your first day of school is tomorrow.” “Twilight, I don’t want to go to bed!” I scream. She stares at me mad and annoyed. “Lightning Gale go to bed NOW!” she yells. I go up to bed. As I lie down, I think about my parents. My mom was Orange with a black mane, and my dad was black with a purple mane. Sadly, they both were corrupted by changelings so they had those weird green eyes. Any way I was made a black pony with purple and black hair and the weird green eyes. Every one hates me and I know because when ever I come near them they either back away or make fun of me. I fall asleep and I dream about them. They have a new daughter. She looks just like me. They turn around and scowled at me as I just stand there. Then I wake up from my nightmare. No, they couldn't do that to me. As I fall asleep, I have a better dream. Then Twilight wakes me up yelling “C’mon girl its time for your first day of school!” “Ok I’m getting up and getting ready.” I do get up and get dressed. Weirdly the first day of school is picture day. Therefore, I put on my favorite headband and vest. Then Twilight drives me to school in our wagon. As we go, I think about my parents without any one. Once I am about to tell Twilight I don’t feel good she cuts me off and pushes me in. It is picture day I guess I think. As I walk in, I look down the whole way, but then come up two fillies named Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. They look at me while my head is still down. “Oh look here another blank flank.” I look up at her. “A blank what?” I ask. “Uh duh you don’t have your cutie mark.” Silver Spoon says “A cutie what?” I say. “We will talk about it in class later.” Diamond says to me as if I’m insane. Then I see a weird thing on her so-called flank. My parents didn’t have that or at least I think they didn’t. We finally got to class. “Ok students,” the teacher says, “its time to talk about cutie marks.” The class all take out paper. They start talking about special talents and things like that. So I write down “A cutie mark is a special talent that comes on to your flank when you find out what it is.” Then class is over. I see that many ponies have there cutie mark already except for me and a girl who sits behind me. As we leave school, the filly behind me says, “Hey are you OK, I heard that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were makin’ fun of ya’?” I nod silently. “What’s ya’ name? Mah names Apple Bloom.” I say in a quiet voice “Lightning Gale.” She looks at me and then says, “That’s mah granny got to go. See ya’ lightning.” I watch her leave and then see Twilight gallop along with our wagon. “Hi Apple Bloom!” she says. The filly waves and smiles at her. “Say hi to Apple Jack for me!” then she nods and she gallops home with her grandma. We get home in silence. When we do get home, Twilight takes off my clothes with her magic. I feel a shock. Then I go up stairs and fall asleep. I have a sweet dream. It is supposed to be at night and the moon is up. It is dinner and I bring mommy dinner in bed. Then I see the moon has a mare in it as it is saying she needs them. I hear “Lightning!” I wake but I am in the past. I see that I am being taken away from my parents. They are crying like crazy. Then the doctor gives me to Twilight. “Please take her and make her not remember this!” Twilight nods. I start crying and flapping my wings. Twilight takes me in. She goes down stairs into her basement and she starts her magic the aurora around me gets bigger and bigger. It grows and grows and grows. “You won’t remember this at all.” Then I hear and see an explosion. It blows us away. Yes, I will I think. Then I heard “Nightisn aagals owe.” I wake then from my weird dream. “Lightning Gale!” “What, what happened?” She tells me that the spell in her “dream” was a spell that she accidently used and it made me see the past. “Is that why I can remember all of that?” she nods. A couple weeks later, it was my birthday and new years. I got a new vest a new headband and a nice cape. “There’s one more thing that I have for you.” She takes out some glasses. “They are just glasses.” I say with a blank look on my face. She puts them on me. “They are special. Look in the mirror.” I look into the mirror and see my eyes look normal. “You... you fixed my eye,” I am cut off by her saying, “I put a spell on them so when you put them on they pretty much do fix your eyes.” I gallop up to her and hug her tightly. All of a sudden, we hear knocking at the door. “Stay here please.” She says. “Special delivery.” I see her take the box and slam the door. I hear whispering and the flash of magic. Then we go through an awesome adventure where we had to fix every ones cutie marks. Then Twilight fixes the spell. All of a sudden, the elements of harmony go crazy. They all shoot at Twilight and she disappears smoke in her place. We all go out side. We see a big version of Twilights cutie mark in the sky. She comes down and we see that she has wings! “You’ve become an alicorn!” says Rarity. “She’s princess.” Says Princess Celestia. We all go to a coronation. Twilight does a speech that is excellent. “But I couldn’t have done this without my little girl Lightning Gale!” says Twilight as she hugs me.   .   .   . A couple weeks later, I am walking along singing the song Pinkie sang to me. Then I heard Twilight and Celestia talking. “NO SHE CAN’T LEAVE!” I hear “SHES NOT READY!!” Then I hear “I’m sorry Twilight but Lightning Gale is ready to leave back to her parents.” Says Princess Celestia. “I have to l-leave to my parents?” I ask with a blank expression. Celestia leaves. “Yes Lightning you must leave back to them.” I am happy and sad excited and worried. “B-but why!?” She stares into the wall and starts crying. “I’m sorry you have to learn this way but when you were born,” she starts. “I know I know I was sick and they chose to send me to you!” “No that’s not all, they said when you are cured to bring you back.” She says. “I-I don’t understand. First of all, I thought I could remember every thing from the past. Second of all, I always thought they forgot about me when they left.” I say. Then she says, “Of course they didn’t just like when you leave me I won’t forget you! We leave tomorrow morning. Can you say goodbye to all your friends.” I go say goodbye and if they ask, I explain. I fall asleep and I had a dream. I see my parents but what is wrong with me. They are just gray and bald. “NO!” I forgot what my parents look like. “What Lightning.” “I don’t know what my mom and dad look like.” She hugs me and says “Its ok you will recognize them when you see them.” I fall asleep again and have a better dream. The next morning we leave to the Ever Free Forest. “Where are they?” I ask. “We will find them sooner or later.” Twilight says. She starts to cry and I pat her back. “It’s ok I’m ok your ok we are all ok.” We finally get to the place where we meet. “Mom d-dad?” I ask. “My little storm bird! Is she cured?” “Yes but because I shocked her so much when she was a baby, that she won’t be able to fly for about 2 weeks.” I see all these things blooming that I feel hopeful. I see something on my parents flank. They do have cutie marks. Dads is a full-grown tree and moms is a flower which is above a cloud. Dads show that you will soon grow and moms say you can be tall. They are both sayings sort of and they show hope. Then they look at my flank. “Y-your cutie mark it’s a flower bud and a bloomed flower.” “I know what it is and I just got it. It is a sign of hope. My talent is being hopeful.” We all hug. Twilight starts crying from sadness and with joy. We finally have to go. I start crying and I cannot stop hugging Twilight. As I leave from the place I was not supposed to be to the place I should have been in this whole time. Celestia was crying Luna was right next to him. “Oh Tia don’t cry please because if you cry I will cry and then, and the-,” they hug as me and my mom and dad leave. “We will come see you in 3 weeks. I love you Twilie!” She starts crying and flapping her wings. I shake my head and she stops. The Memories I see Twilight again and Luna and Tia. My parents meet my old friends. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are gone! We must go now. Twilight says she will visit me. We get to see the statue of Tia’s parents. I learn to fly! It’s been a couple years but I got married. I have two kids. They are twins a boy and a girl. The Boy has a black mane with purple stripes normal eyes. Girl purple mane black my eyes Love Lightning Gale.
