Amaya had the perfect life any filly would want as a princess: loving parents,a castle to roam and call her own, and the many friends she made. One unfaithful night had destroyed it all for her and her mother,their enemies destroying their home and took the life of one who was near and dear to them both.

Now they hide in the small quiet town of Ponyville,hoping to not only start new but to also hide from those whose evil plans involve taking their lives. Can Amaya cope with what has transpired in her life and make new friends or will the memories of that one unpleasant night change her into something for the worst?

The night sky once dark and filled with stars,now colored with hues of red and orange,flames reaching to touch the sky as a castle once majestic and regal now becoming nothing but ashes and black rubble. A filly,no younger then four maybe five years old crying into her mother's shoulder as dark blue eyes spilled liquid tears down her cheeks. The mother,hugging her daughter close to her side as sky blue eyes looked sadly upon what was once their home, lost in her thoughts as she closed her eyes 'Hikaru,my love...your sacrifice will not be in vain'

News of the event had reached all over Equestria,Condolences and heartfelt letters were sent in good thoughts,but in the heart of Yumiko and her daughter Amaya, could never bring back a loving husband,who was also a loving father.Both made the long perilous journey to Canterlot,where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were both waiting for their arrival with sympathetic eyes and open arms

"We're so sorry about what happened with Lord Hikaru,Lady Yumiko" Celestia spoke softly to her,looking at them both before speaking again "You are welcomed to stay with me and my sister while we find a place for you to take permanent residence at".Yumiko could only smile half-heartily at the gesture and idea,her daughter looking between both princess as her mother spoke "Thank you so much,Princess..."

Princess Luna remain stoic,her eyes showing some emotions at the words spoken between her sister and her friend before looking to the young filly in front of her. Her heart tugged in sadness at the thought of someone so young losing not only her home, but also her father. She twitched a bit,coming back to reality as her sister spoke for the royal guards to lead the two to their guest rooms.

Luna watched them both disappear from her sight as her sister spoke towards her "Something the matter,my sister?" Luna looked towards her,sighing as she shook her head "It's nothing" Celestia kept her eyes on her before nodding her head and walking back to the throne room,Luna not far behind as they went back to their royal duties

As the sun sets down from the sky,the moon now shining so brightly in place as Yumiko stared out into the night sky,her eyes spilling tears of sadness and anger from her crestfallen sky blue eyes. Amaya could only curl up tighter onto the bed,hearing her mother soft sobs and falling tears breaking her heart more and more like a broken mirror as she thought to herself 'Oh papa...why did you have to leave us so soon?'
