Twilight was kneeling in front of the elements with her eyes closed trying to create the spark which would reveal the sixth element when the purple smoke lifted the stones in front of her. When she felt the air began moving she opened her eyes and let out a small scream.
Before the elements would get teleported away she jumped after the disappearing stones. They appeared in the middle of the old throne room, Nightmare Moon was standing near the stones about fifteen meters away from Twilight. Twilight stomped on the ground then let out an angry blow through her nose, she began to run towards Nightmare Moon who stood still and a smile appeared on her face. When Twilight was only a few meters away, she got hit by a beam and after it she couldn't move her body parts and tripped, after she fell on the cold stones slided in front of Nightmare whose laugh filled the silent room.
"What did you do to me?" asked Twilight confused.
She looked down at the purple unicorn, but didn't say a word to her.
"Me and my friends will defeat you."
"Twilight Sparkle, why would you do that do?"
She left the unicorn to take a look at the moon.
"Because you are evil."
Twilight teleported her body close to the elemets and created the spark which shot her helpless body back in the air then made a painful landing. After a couple of active seconds the elements shut down without having the effect what Twilight hoped for.
"Where are your friends now?"
"They only need a little more time."
She turned her head around to look at the unicorn.
"Oh come on Twilight I didn't teleport us that far, if your so called, friends, would care about you they would already be here, why would you need friends anyway, you've always been learning, reading all day and night long, alone.."
"Celestia will stop you."
Nightmare walked next to the paralyzed unicorn and lifted her head so she can look into her eyes.
"No, she won't."
Dark blue aura appeared around Nightmare's horn, she turned around droping Twilight's head on the ground and shot a few blast of lightnings at the five stones, when the dust settled the stones ceased to exist, only five small pile of dust remained after them.
Nightmare let out another shot on Twilight, who could start to feel her bodyparts again.
"What do you want from me?"
"Don't you see Twilight? We are the same."
Twilight stood up slowly and scratched her face on the left side where she felt pain on it, after Nightmare dropped her head.
"What are you talking about? I'm nothing like you, you are a, monster."
Nightmare Moon walked close to Twilight.
"Am I? You don't even know who are you talking to, so how dare you judge me!"
"I know all the pony tales about you and what have you done all those years ago!, you are a pony who didn't care about anypony else's well being, but her own."
After Twilight finished, Nightmare broke their eye contact and turned away. For a while Twilight was staring in front of her surprised not
only about the alicorn's reaction, but her own behaviour as well. There was something inside her which she never felt before. An anger which came from the nowhere, at least Twilight never experienced this kind of wrath before. A minute passed what both of them spent in silence. For that minute Twilight was trying to calm herself as much as she could and eventually that fury went away.
Nightmare lowered her head.
"That's not true, I only wanted to spend more time with my sister!"
"I don't understand."
The ruins of the castle was filled with Nightmare's laughing for a minute, a laugh what sounded sad for some reason, when she finally stopped looked at Twilight.
"Well, how can you possibly understand it, unless I show it to you."
Nightmare stepped to the unicorn and kissed her. It was a short kiss, but it was enough for what she intended to do. Twilight made a few step back and cleaned her lips with her hoof. A few seconds passed and she started to feel dizzy.
"What did you do?"
Nightmare shot a warm smile at the unicorn or at least Twilight thought it was a smile because her eyesight became blurred. She finally stopped fighting against this strange feeling and fell on the floor when memories hit her which didn't belong to her, about two alicorns as they played and had as much fun as they could in their short free time. The taller one with white fur, pink mane and a smaller one who had a blue fur and light blue mane. Both alicorn fillies had their cutie mark which was familiar for Twilight, the white alicorn had the symbol of the sun and the other had the moon.
The time was passing so slowly for them years, decades of studying for the pony kind and as the time came to rule the happy memories ended. They spent less and less time together. Everypony turned to Celestia during the day and away from Luna who was sitting on the throne everynight yet no pony came to her, one night she was walking outside and took a long look at the night sky. She felt, it's empty and the moon was as lonely as herself. She spent weeks, months, years to create the stars around the moon and the falling stars which would shoot across the night sky leaving a beautiful ray behind them yet when she finally decided to lit them up.
It was the most beautiful thing that Twilight ever saw in her whole life, the original night sky.
On that very night ponies who entered were complaining about it, that the sky became too bright and they can't sleep. Luna received complains about it for weeks, what was suppose to make happiness over ponies hearts it only brought sadness and anger inside them which did the same with Luna's. Everytime when she tried to speak with her sister, she was either tired or had some important things to do. Luna was left alone, she sheltered all her feelings deep inside and let something else to take control over her soul and mind which ended up destroying every single star during one night what she created over years of hard work.
The night time ended yet the moon was still on the sky on it's rightful place like any other night. Celestia entered the throne room and saw Luna lying on the cold stones of the room, she rushed to her sister who was wearing some kind of armor and her fur completly changed.
"Luna are you alright?"
Celestia laid down near her sister and cuddled with her from the back. Luna wasn't facing with Celestia, stood up and walked back to the throne then turned around after she sat down.
Fear took over Celestia's heart when she saw her sister's eyes glowing by the power yet she was crying, but there was something else too what frightened Celestia.
"Go away Celestia."
"What happened with the stars?"
"They were useless like me, so they had to go and you will need to go as well."
Celestia stood up and walked in front of the throne.
"What do you mean go?"
"I mean, leave Equestria and never return along with your pathetic glowing thing."
"If this your idea of a joke, It's going too far Luna."
Celestia saw this face once, she knew the moment when her sister turned around she wasn't herself anymore or at least it's not her who controls the body, not anymore, the face which got corrupted by darkness yet the real person's soul was somewhere deep inside, she could feel it and the tears were real which are unendingly coming from both eyes of Luna.
Discord, he had the same look when she and her sister thought it's just a game and he asked them to do it what turned out to be real. Maybe Luna forgot it, but Celestia had images about him when it happened.
"I'm sorry Luna."
Celestia turned around and started to walk away slowly while thinking the possibilites what can she do, she summoned the elements of harmony around herself. She turned back to face with her sister for the last time and tears escaped from her eyes.
"I'm so sorry, I promise one day we will be together again and I'll be a better sister for you."
Then a blast hit Luna's body and the memories ended. Twilight stood up, but tears were running down on her face, she didn't know why or how she was crying just like Luna did in her vision, but she felt herself sick like something would pull herself out from her own body and want to stuff something else in. She collapsed on the ground and her eyes began to glow like once Luna's did.
"What have you done to me?"
Twilight asked as she was laying on the cold stones.
"It was only a memory sharing spell nothing else, this shouldn't be happening."
Nightmare stepped closer to examine Twilight's body with her magic and saw how her tail and both of her hind legs begin to turn darker then the rest of her body.
"Maybe Celestia was right about everything, she was right that there was something more behind her own acts when it happened."
and now, somehow she passed it on to Twilight.
She saw something inside the purple pony somepony who she can sit with under the night sky somepony who would love her nights the pony who would admire her hard work and maybe the one she can fall in love with and she can be loved by her. The lonely souls maybe would found each other, she didn't want this to happen and now there isn't anything she can do to help Twilight.
The darkening reached almost half of Twilight's body when Celestia appeared behind them in silence.
"I'm so sorry Twilight, I thought maybe we can be together far from everypony else, I've never wanted any of this."
She detached the armor around her body and placed her helmet down on the ground with her magic then her body turned back to it's original form as it once were a long time ago.
The stone elements appeared next to Luna after a few seconds looking at them she ignored their appearence and turned back to Twilight, almost more than her half of her body was covered in darkened purple fur by now.
"So, are you going to help her or not?"
Luna turned around to see her sister who was standing right behind here with the sun shining with it's glory throught the window at the back.
"Tia! I'm so sorry I,"
"Save it, It's not the best time for apologies."
"But we can't use the elements anymore..."
"Of course we can't, that's why I brought them along with myself, but"
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack was already wearing the necklaces of the true Elements of Harmony behind Celestia.
"we will need your strenght as well to help me power up the elements long enough to reach her, it might be able to stop the corruption and erase this evil from Equestria once and for all."
Celestia reached out with her hoof towards her sister to pull her up from the ground. Luna stood up next to Celestia and they placed in formation the bearers of the elements in the air as they suppose to be. They shot their combined powers at the place where Twilight suppose to be, but only her tiara was there.
The rainbow light shot out and hit Twilight whose body was turned to dark only the tip of her horn was her original colour. Her body emerged from the ground and the rainbow's colours became stronger in the air then it dissapeared and her body fell down, before it would hit the ground Luna teleported herself under the falling body to slow it down.
Twilight opened her eyes and saw Luna beneath herself, she felt herself weak just like when Nightmare canceled the paralyzing spell on her body, but the weakness didn't want to dissapear as fast as it did before. Hoping she won't humiliate herself so much in front of everypony she tried to replicate the same spell what Nightmare used before and slowly moved her face close to Luna's and kissed her. It was a longer kiss than before, Twilight pulled back hoping she succeeded and smiled at Luna.
"You should do something about it, because Celestia made an awful job with it.
