Godzilla Returns
Return
Load Full StoryNext ChapterGodzilla, based off of a Japanese sea dragon who scared sea sailors from century to century. Little did they know, Godzilla didn't exist until one of the World War. America and Japan were fighting for an island, until the Americans lost thanks to a giant Dinosaur, named Godzillasaurus.
Later on, in world War 2, the French had Nuclear testing facilities around some deserted islands. Thanks to the radiation, two eggs from a marine iguana survived, but became mutated.
The first hatched, then, the mutant would head for New York. However, the other hatched, and stayed behind. She entered a deep sleep, and when she wakes up, she wakes up to a whole new world. This is where our story begins.
Somewhere in the Pacific ocean
Time: 0308 hours
Ship: Coming back to dock, resupply, then head out to explore.
"I'm tellin' ya, it looked like a dragon, but it breathed green fire, and it spines would light up when it breathed in, and then it would breath out fire." The witness said, but then, the pony changed the channel to a wrestling show.
"You should stop watching TV, it messes your brain up." A stallion said to the mare.
"It doesn't mess your brain up. It entertains you, while giving you information in ads or commercials. Now go and check on the bloody crew." The mare said, obviously the captain, but, she seemed a bit annoyed by the stallion.
"Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you." The stallion said, chuckling as he left the room.
Suddenly, the ship started to rock, and a scraping sound was heard. Sirens filled the air as crew went to their stations, trying to find somewhere safe, or to find out what made the sound.
"What happened?" The captain asked, looking at a dragon commandeering the radar.
"I don't know, ma'am. Whatever hit us is either trying to protect it's territory, or is very hungry." The female dragon said, then, a weird, deep rumbling sound was heard, almost like it was growling.
"What do you mean? It has to be a pod of whales or something, right?" The captain said, unsure if she was right or not.
"No ma'am, it's bigger than a whale. Way bigger!" The Dragoness said.
Then, a large reptilian tail hit the ships, and spines of a large animal would skid across the ship's side. A roar, that sounded like a hiss of a snake and a trumpeting of a elephant mixed together was heard, then, large claws dug into the ship, making water go in, slowly sinking the ship.
"All crew to life boats! I repeat, all crew to life boats!" The speakers blared, causing panic throughout the ship as they went towards the life boats, or risked their lives by jumping in the water.
Large, dragon like jaws bit onto the ship, taking a large chunk out of it. Then, the large creature roared, and sunk back into the ocean as it's attack was quick.
Three days later in Ponyville.
Spike was watching TV, Twilight, as always, was reading some books, paying no mind to the young dragon. Suddenly, he switched to a channel, where a ship, mauled and bitten, was near the shore of Manehatten. He stopped, then looked closely at it.
"Twilight!" Spike said.
"Yes Spike?" Twilight asked, not looking up from her book, clearly focusing on it.
"You might want to come look at this!" Spike said, moving so Twilight could see as she sat down, seeing the carnage.
"Spike, turn it up." Twilight said, making the dragon turn it up.
"As you can see, a strange creature, much like a dragon, but with no wings, attacked this boat. The explorers say that they didn't see it coming, as it rose from the ocean, biting into the hull of the ship, like it was paper, and ripped it off. Eye witnesses say that the Royal Guard has shown up, to investigate it further." The reporter, a female dragon, said. "Coming up next, a strange, green fire was reported to be spotted near when the ship was, indicating that the creature could breathe fire. Also, they have a picture of the creature, we will show you, after this ad."
Twilight would then look at Spike, a bit concerned. Spike had grown taller over the years. He now had a not very long snout, and he grew two more pairs of spines on his back. He didn't grow any wings yet, he had to wait until one more growth spurt, or, he was a special dragon. He sometimes leaned forward when running, and sometimes, when he dug, he used his hands instead of hit tail. Twilight even caught him once fishing, using the fish as food.
Suddenly, snapping fingers brought Twilight's attention back to a worried Spike.
"Twi, that thing can breathe green fire. Like me." Spike said, then, he would turn his attention towards the screen.
Suddenly, the news was back on. "And, we're back. So, we have found out what the monster looks like, and we also found out that it is a giant among dragons. Well, if it was a dragon. In fact, this might be a entirely new species of dragon we found. Anyway, we'll show you the picture, in a few moments. We should tell you that a female dragon by the name of Sarah, drew this picture for us after the attack. Thankfully, no one got hurt."
Suddenly, the screen would show the picture of the so called "Dragon', making Twilight gasp. Spike would stare at the screen, silent, for personal reasons.
