Old and new allies

Godzilla lifted her head up, sniffing the air. Spike had left hours earlier, but she couldn't help but feel something familiar.

Suddenly, a paper landed on her snout, making her look at it. She sighed, looking at it.

"He always has to make an appearance." Godzilla noted, looking at the picture.

It was art of the creature that attacked Manehatten. It wasn't accurate, but she was able to recognize who it was. The picture showed her distant cousin; Godzilla.

She then threw it in the wind, lazily resting in the sun, unaware that Spike had a rough time.

"So wait, Twilight. You're telling me, a scientist has discovered the Trot Ness Monster? And you're making me come along. Why?" Spike yawned, being lazy next to the window of the plane.

"One, you're both ancient reptiles. Two, with the strange creatures running around, I want you safe with me."

Spike yawned, his three pairs of Spikes rattled against each other as he moved.

"I also would like to know why RainbowDash and Fluttershy have to baby sit me while you, Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie have to go with you."

"Isn't it obvious?" Spike gave Twilight a blank stare. She sighed. "Nessie is a female reptile. You are a male reptile. She is a rare prehistoric animal, you look like a prehistoric animal."

Spike blushed heavily.

"That and you catch the eye of every mare that knows you." RainbowDash chimed in, playfully slugging Spike's shoulder.

"And ya'll seem to be keepin' secrets. Ah think you may or may not have found a dragoness." Applejack suggested with a playful attitude, making Spike go rigid.

"I think that might not be the thing to joke about." Fluttershy said, surprising everyone but Spike. "If you don't mind."

Spike yawned, until he looked outside. Suddenly, his eyes went wide, his snake like pupils shrinking. "You guys might want to see this."

Twilight gave a glance, then returned to her book. She then looked back with a look of horror on her face.

Below, was the destroyed city of Manehatten. Buildings-what was left of them- looked like they had seen the worst day of their lives.

If you think about it, they did.

Suddenly, a large spire tipped over, smashing into a jagged building. Suddenly, the jagged building moved, disappearing behind a cloud of dust.

Spike looked down to see a tail smash through a building, and disappear.

"What happened?"

Underneath Manehatten, and creature stirred. It opened it's orange eye to see it's cave changed. Stalagmites were drooping like large fangs. As it stirred from it's once fortress, it looked to see a pool at the end of it's cave.

At least, it looked like a pool at first glance.

The creature moved, centuries of dust and decay shaking off without a second glance. A creature, six stories tall, stood.

It's muscle screamed in pain as joints popped and blood started pumping, centuries of rest mattered little to him.

His spikes hit the ceiling, causing rocks, boulders, and stalagmites to fall on him.

He drew in a deep breath, the mouldy air stinging his lungs. The feeling of radiation warmed him from the cold air.

His maw opened, and the creature made it's first roar in centuries.

"SHREEEEEEEEEONG!"

A large, serpentine shape moved from the water. A large creature lifted her head. She sniffed the air, and snorted.

She then swam away, a submarine taking her place.

Suddenly, the submarine surfaced to show a city in Trotland.

A airplane landed, and seven figures piled out. The one with three rows of spikes growled, sniffing the air.

"Spike? Something wrong?" Rainbow Dash asked, tapping him.

His eyes were glowing green, but he shook his head, closing his eyes. When they opened, they were normal.

"No. Just had a feeling someone I know is coming."

Rainbow shrugged, and walked off.

A large creature moved it's head, giving deep inhales through his nose. The scent of iron and dirt hit him like a tital wave.

He then lifted his head higher, sniffing in.

He knew that scent.

Memories hit him harder than the bomb that unknowingly created him.

His flesh still stung, reminding him of the creatures that created him, and filled him with a fury that only matched that of a a God.

Suddenly, a memory hit him, making his large, hate filled eyes soften.

It was him and his mate, before the creatures known as a reminder of why he fought so hard.

That day, he was in his nest, watching over a purple and green egg that caused him so much happiness.

His mate returned, before the sound of thunder rung through the air. When he looked up, he saw not clouds, but smoke. He went to investigate, only to be stopped by the larger of the two.

He nuzzled his mate before charging off towards the noise.

He came to the coast when he saw the creatures that, although filled him with hate and fury now, only filled the younger one with curiosity and questions.

He walked, only to hear a strange noise before he felt like a bee stung him. He looked down to see the strange two legged creatures that shot fire from metal in their hands.

He roared in annoyance, using his four clawed hand to impale and slash a many. He swept his tail, killing many that tried to attack from behind. It wasn't long until the invaders were drove back by the large creature. The creature roared in the air, sounding like the older version of himself.

He came back to the nest to find that the creatures were trying to steal his egg.

The dinosaur gave a might roar, crushing a few under his feet. He roared again, scaring the small creatures. When they ran off, he growled happily, seeing his egg was still there. His mate, however, could not be said the same thing. She was lying on the ground, motionless.

The creature roared in fury and hate. But it wasn't also hate, but sorrow and pain. The roar could be heard miles away.

Another creature lifted it's head to roar, before heading towards the beach to hunt for fish, only to be met by strange travelers.

The original creature nuzzled his mate, before looking at the egg. He nuzzled it, checking for cracks or injuries. When he saw none, he gave a snort of relief. His hatchling would be safe. At least, would've been.

A bright light caught the large creature's attention. He stood up, sniffing the air. He still remembers the smell of an habitat changing by something big...and dangerous.

He moved to the edge of his nest to find a a few creatures like him noticing the phenomenon. He looked on to see a bright light, momentarily blinding him. When his vision returned, he saw a cloud of smoke strangely shaped like a mushroom.

Suddenly, the ground shook, making trees fall and boulders crack.

He gave a roar of terror when he saw the shockwave. He quickly ran towards his egg, not before noticing his 'dead' mate gone.

He curled around the single egg, before he felt a searing pain hit him.

The massive creature opened his eyes, the memory rearing it's ugly head from the depths of his complex mind.

He turned his head towards the ocean, a single word in his mind.

Son.

He gave a roar, buildings around him shattering what remaining glass they had.

Those that came before refer to him as a Monster.

Those that followed him called him King.

Those that ran and fled called him one name that he kept as a personal title.

Godzilla.

SHREEEEEEEEEEEOOOOONNNNGNGNG!
