Returning Darkness

    Princess DewDrop Shimmer walked through the crowded halls of the Crystal Empire University. She looked down upon the ponies, her nose pointed toward the crystal ceiling as a path was made for her. A small crystal filly was chasing her friend around the halls. Not looking where she was going, the filly bumped into Princess DewDrop Shimmer's leg.

    "Ex-ca-use me?" DewDrop Shimmer exclaimed, clearly angry.

    "I-I'm so sorry!" The filly squeaked nervously, backing up. "I didn't mean to!"

    "You will be sorry!" She said, glaring down at the frightened filly. Just then, DewDrop Shimmer realized she was drawing attention to herself. She stomped her hoof, annoyed. She would have to deal with this filly later. "Just. GO!"

    "Y-yes.." The filly whispered, barely audible before it scurried away in fright. DewDrop Shimmer continued on her way to class, nose pointed upwards once more.

     "And so Princess Celestia and Princess Luna used the elements of harmony against Sombra, saving the Crystal Kingdom and the ponies who lived there.." Explained Mrs. Historia, the history teacher for the Crystal Empire University. DewDrop Shimmer groaned as the lesson continued. Suddenly, the bell rung through the whole school.

     "Class dismissed!" Mrs. Historia announced. "Homework tonight: 2 page essay on the time of Sombra's rule. Due by tomorrow."

     DewDrop Shimmer gladly got up, quickly jotting down the assignment and heading out the door. Nose pointed up she walked towards her locker. Neatly placing her books inside she pulled out the books for her next two classes.

     SunriseMist glared at DewDrop Shimmer as she entered the lunchroom, sending out a 'I'm better then you all' vibe. Emerald looked worriedly at her friend. She did this everyday. "A-are you ok?" She asked.

     "It's just.....her.." She replied, pointing to snobby princess.

      "What do you mean?"

      "Haven't you noticed her actions in class. And everywhere else!?!"

       "I can't say I have.." Emerald glanced at DewDrop Shimmer before turning back to SunriseMist. "Just let it go."

       "Fine!" Sunrisemist said, before finishing her sandwich and moving onto a crystal cupcake.

        "Slow down..." Emerald whispered, not wanting to upset her friend more.

DewDrop Shimmer entered the lunchroom proudly, as she did everyday. Ordering the usual she sat at her 'off limits to losers' lunch table and began to eat. DewDrop Shimmer took out her phone and began texting her friends.
