The Prompt (by seven-eleven [@Livestream]): "Rainbow Dash needs medicine"

Medicine

“Oh come on Rainbow, I’m so tired of this!” Twilight groaned in annoyance as the thick liquid drenched her coat and the spoon fell to the ground making a clanking noise again. It wasn’t her first attempt and wouldn’t be her last one trying to give her marefriend the most awful tasting medicine Equestrian pharmacologists have ever developed.

As if having a certain sick pegasus to take care of at home wasn’t challenging enough, she also had to ensure that Rainbow Dash would take the remedy at least once a day, no matter what. However she couldn’t overcome herself to use any kind of physical force on her poorly sick marefriend, at least not up to that point.

“Please, please, please!” She begged while using her magic to carefully fill the surface of the spoon with some of the thick liquid again. “It’s not that I want to compel you taking it, but you have to!” She almost desperately supplemented, letting the spoon levitate between her and Rainbow’s muzzles, giving the pegasus the most hopeful and promising of all looks.

“I’m not gonna’ take this in my mouth! I did it once and I’ll never do it again,” The blue mare responded with determination in her voice, knocking away the incoming spoon with one of her hooves, making it fall to the ground again. “I mean, y’know that I would do anything for ya Twi, but have you ever tasted this stuff?” Rainbow added to her movement with some remorse in her tone, wildly gesturing with her hooves like she always did when feeling pushed into a corner because she knew that Twilight was right and her own acting was wrong.

She was nothing else than sorry about her own strong self-defense mechanism and would have loved nothing more than satisfying the unicorn with being a good mare who takes her medicine without objection. However the taste of the thick liquid, the only affordable medicine that was available for the rare illness she was suffering from, was, to put it simply, indescribably disgusting, probably tasting worse than the backside of a mule’s ear if the mule hasn’t washed itself for three weeks at least.

“Okay Rainbow, let’s take a break from this and try again later. I’ll go down into the kitchen and get you some tea and crackers,” Twilight said with a still calm and soft voice, carrying a smile on her snout. A few moments later, she left the room with a slightly frustrated sigh escaping her lips.

As soon as her marefriend had closed the door behind her, Rainbow Dash let herself fall back onto the fluffy pillow, moaning in annoyance and hating herself for being such a jerk. Twilight was always so patient and kind to her, trying her best to ensure her comfort and help her regaining her health, and all she did was complaining and spitting ugly medicine on the unicorn.

Thoughts about how clumsy and rude her behavior was started occupying her mind and all she wished for was to finally be able to overcome herself and just swallow the fluid, however the mere thought about its taste alone was more than enough to make her retch and nearly vomit. Tears of sorrows and guilt were already gathering in the corners of her eyes as all of a sudden the door swung open revealing the mare she loved levitating a box of Rainbow’s favorite crackers and a cup of freshly boiled tea in front of her.

Not knowing what to say since giving excuses - not made-up ones, but real excuses - wasn’t one of her strengths; she looked at the blanket in embarrassment when she suddenly perceived the very familiar softness of two hooves on her cheeks which made her look up into Twilight’s concerned violet sparkling orbs.

She had no idea for what reason she deserved the sudden consolation, just that her illness wasn’t contagious and therefore there was no risk for her to accidentally infect Twilight with it, so she closed her eyes and gently leaned into a quite affectionate and desirous kiss.

Joining the wild dance of the lips and tenderly playing with her marefriend’s tongue, she suddenly perceived a strange and bitter taste occupying her mouth which she usually would have tried to spit out at any costs. However, the love Twilight gave to her, the smoothness the unicorn let her feel with every little movement, was far too agreeable to break the kiss for any reason.

After she had ensured that the pegasus had swallowed down all of the liquid, Twilight slowly dissolved the kiss and looked deep into two beautiful shimmering magenta orbs. “Now, was taking your medicine really that bad?” She asked with a wide smile on her muzzle, gently stroking through the other mare’s rainbow-colored mane and playfully flicking her tail.

“No... it even was kind of enjoyable,” Rainbow Dash happily returned slightly blushing with an even broader smile on her face than Twilight’s and let herself sink into the pillow again, dragging the unicorn along with her.
