That Special Someone
Craziest Day
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCameron woke up to Roseluck nudging him. His eyes fluttered opened and he sat up and looked at her. He shook his head and blinked a few times. He looked past her and saw that it was 8:00. He looked back at Rose then raised a brow. "Rose... it's only 8:00, why the hell did you wake me up?" He asked.
"Gotta get to the lecture hall in 15 minutes..." She replied with a deadpan tone.
"Shit!" Cameron exclaimed falling out of bed. He grabbed his saddle bag and ran out the door with Rose following close by.
"Come on we gotta hurry!" She shouted.
"I have no idea where to go so lead the way!" Cameron shouted back. They continued to sprint down the winding hallway until they finally reached the lecture hall. They both slowed down trying not to look like they just ran the Hundred Meter Dash. They opened the door and walked in casually with a nervous smile on their faces.
"6 seconds late." The teacher said.
"Fuck..." Cameron mumbled under his breath.
"I heard that."
Cameron sighed then sat down at his desk. Rose sat down in the one next to him. They sat there for hours, bored out of their minds, with barely anything to do but just stare at the boring wooden walls around them. Cameron leaned over to Rose and whispered, "Hey, I'm bored. What do you wanna do?" He asked.
"I feel like ditching." She replied.
"You? Wanna sneak past the Doc?" Cameron asked quietly.
"Am I interrupting something?" The Doc asked.
"Uh nope. Just uh sleeptalking?" Cameron said nervously.
"Uh-huh... I'm sure." The Doc said turning around. He began to speak loudly to the class about the project that they were going to be working on. Cameron turned to his right to see a girl with spiky blue hair and purple sunglasses. Her hands would twitch and occasionally glow every now and again, but Cameron ignored it. He had already seen a Radioactive Rabbit in the lobby. The Doc got lost in his lecture and Cameron took this chance.
"Hey, c'mon lets bail." He whispered. Rose nodded and by some miracle they were able to sneak out of the lecture hall. They began walking down the hall and into the park. "So, what do you wanna do?" He asked.
"I dunno. Grab a bite?" Rose asked.
"Sounds good to me. I'm starving." He replied. They walked over to the Green Leaf cafe. They walked in and saw that the place was completely empty. Made sense due to the fact that everyone was in class. They walked over to the counter and looked at each other with faces that said, "Who's buying?"
"Flip a coin?" Cameron asked.
"Go for it." Cameron pulled out a coin and tossed it in the air. "Heads!" Rose shouted. Cameron caught it and slapped it on the back of his hand.
"Shit..." He mumbled. Rose grinned and Cameron pulled out his wallet. "You're lucky I'm not broke." He said.
The cashier smiled brightly.
"Hey/ how can I help you?" She asked.
"Hey, uh. I'd like... a decaf, just a decaf." He looked at Rose, "Rose what do you want?" He asked.
Rose snatched his wallet and threw it on the counter.
"Everything!" She shouted.
"Hey- come on!" Cameron shouted.
"I'm just kidding. One sandwich please and make that two decafs." She said.
Cameron paid the cashier and then sat down at a table. Rose sat down next to him and smiled. Cameron's face had a light red tint on it and he looked away. Rose giggled then looked away. A few minutes later the waitress served them their food.
"Thanks..." Cameron looked up at the cashier and almost melted. She had pink and blue striped hair with light blue eyes. She was smiling at him brightly.
"Your welcome sir." She said turning around a giggling.
"This day has been getting weirder and weirder..." Cameron mumbled.
"What?" Rose asked.
"Nothing!" Cameron replied quickly taking a sip of his Decaf. He put his headphones on and played Go To Hell For Heaven's Sake. He began to sing along lightly. Rose smiled softly at him and he didn't notice her doing it. He finished and opened his eyes. He saw Rose smiling at him and he took off his headphones.
"Sorry, just get so lost in my music sometimes..." He said.
"Don't worry, I do too." She replied. Cameron chuckled nervously then stood up with his Decaf in his hand. Rose finished her sandwich then picked her Decaf and followed him. Cameron picked up their trash and threw it away. Just before he left the waitress thanked him. They walked outside and back to the dormitory. They walked inside their dorm room and laid down on their bunks. Cameron put his headphones on and rolled on his side to where he was facing the door. He saw a pair of pants and a shirt fall past his face. He blushed deeply and then rolled over and closed his eyes to sleep.
A few hours later he woke up again, but he felt a warm sensation around his body and he was lying on his back. He looked to his right and saw nothing, and looked to his left and almost fainted. Rose was snuggled up closely to him shirtless and without pants. She had her legs wrapped around his left leg and her head rested on his bicep. She cooed and snuggled him closer. Cameron became flush with pure red. It was hard to get out, but that wasn't the only thing...
God dammit! Of all times, why now?
Rose's knee lifted up just beneath his waist.
Too high! Too high!
He squirmed around trying to escape, but then he heard her waking up. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at him. Cameron gasped and Rose's eyes widened. They both screamed and struggled to get out of the bed. Rose fell out of the bed pulling the blanket with her. Cameron was entangled with the blanket and fell on top of Rose.
"I am so fucking sorry! I-" Rose kicked him off knocking the wind out of him. The back of his head hit the edge of the desk and he blacked out. A few minutes later he woke up with Rose on top of him trying to wake him up.
"Cameron! Cameron wake up!" She shouted.
Cameron shook his head and looked at her. Rose gasped and quickly got off of him and pulled the blanket back over her. Cameron rubbed the back of his head and groaned in pain. "Shit..." He mumbled. "Did you really have to kick me? Really?" He asked.
"Sorry." She said innocently.
"Bah... it's okay." He replied standing up. He walked over to Rose and held a hand out to help her up. She placed her hand in his and he pulled her up. "Why were you even cuddling me for anyways?"
"I was cold." She lied, but Cameron fell for it.
"What? Did you not have a blanket?" He asked.
"No. I was just cold. So I decided to sleep next to you, I didn't know I was snuggling you." She replied.
"O-Kay... I'm just gonna... go back to sleep, get a different blanket, or have mine if that helps." He said tossing her his blanket. She nodded and crawled onto the top bunk and wrapped herself in the blanket and fell asleep quickly. "Today has been fucking crazy as shit." Cameron mumbled to himself. He laid down on his bunk and continued listening to his music. He closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep. After a few minutes, his body finally relaxed and he felt fast asleep.
