Rarity's Special Somedragon

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

After I had gotten my kitchen fixed, I got a note to meet Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres in the mail. Apparently, the only way for Spike to stop serving Applejack is to get him to save her live. Applejack had briefed us on the plan. I have to admit, it I really didn't think it would work (no offense to Applejack, but especially not with her bad acting), but I was proven wrong when a REAL timber wolves appeared and became one big timberwolf. Fortunately, it seems one simply has to choke a timber wolf to defeat one. Oh well, at least I got to throw myself at Spike and show Applejack how to really act like a damsel in distress. So now I found myself resting on my couch when there was a knock at the door. I opened to door to the little dragon himself.

"Good evening Spike." I greeted.

"Hey Rarity." Spike replied, somewhat nervously.

"What brings you by?"

"I wanted to apologize for messing up your kitchen. I was pretty out of it today. I let my dragon code and the debt I owned Applejack get the better of me."

"That's alright Spike, I know you only wanted to help, and be a noble dragon."

"Yeah, but I only ended up being a bother. Twilight says it always happens when I try too hard. I remember this one time back in Canterlot, I accidentally interrupted one of Twilight's chemistry experiments, causing it to explode, and got upset with me. I spent the next day trying to make up for it, but only ended up doing more harm than good. Twilight got frustrated and asked what had gotten into me, and I had to explain myself. When I had finished, she apologized for over-reacting over that experiment, and reassured me that, even if she gets upset over things I do, doesn't mean she'll stop loving me any less. Later she learned the experiment exploded because of something she had put in it earlier and we had a good laugh about it."

I looked at him. I thought about how he would do anything for me, like be my pin cousin, or fight Diamond Dogs. Thought about the shining example of a generous act he had pulled before his birthday, how he was able to overcome the beast within him. How he believe I could do the same. There where times in my life when his love sick face was all that was needed to brighten up my day. The boutique would feel empty when he left after a day of helping me. I had to tell him, but how?

"Umm, Rarity?" Spike asked, snapping me out of it.

"Hmm, yes?"

"You okay?"

"I'm fine Darling, could you do something for me?"

"Anything."

"Close your eyes and open your mouth."

He did so without question. Leaning down, I opened my mouth, tilted my head, and stuck my tongue into his mouth. I'm sure I caught him off guard, but after a moment, he caught on and kissed me back. When I pulled away, Spike looked up at me hopefully.

"Rarity... do you...?"

"Yes Spike, I love you."

Spike hugged me tightly. "I love you too." he sobbed.

We stood there, hugging for a while.

"Spike, do you think you can spend the night with me?" I asked. He nodded. Can you help me bring my stuff back from my parent's place?" Spike nodded again. "Come with me."

I led my lover to the abode of my parent's house.

"Would like me to come in and meet them?" Spike asked.

"No, not yet. Wait out here, I'll be back with my stuff." I replied.

I went into the house and went straight to the guest bedroom to pack. As I packed my bags, Cookie Crisp walked in.

"Leaving us again already?" she asked jokingly. Usually, mom's jokes  would get on my nerves, but I was too happy to care, so I ignored her. Then I realized my mistake. "Oh, you have a special somepony."

"What ever gives you that idea?" I asked innocently, trying to play dumb.

"Don't try fooling me Missy, I've been there."

"Alright, yes, I do have a special somepony." I sighed. Knowing Mom, this was only going to go one way.

"Who's the lucky stallion?"

"Their not really a stallion."

"Really? You always wanted a Prince Charming, but she's lucky to have met..."

"Their not a mare either."

Cookie Crisp could now only stare. The expression on her face saying what was on her mind. What are you dating child?

"Hang on there mother, we've only just started. I want to make sure this'll work. If it does, then I'll introduce you, but until then, you need not worry about it." I reassured her.

Mom nodded. I said my goodbye and re-joined Spike outside. He was kind enough to carry my stuff as we returned to my boutique and helped me put  them away. Just as we finished, Spike yawned.

"Does Spike Wikey have a bedtime?" I teased.

At first, Spike looked at me annoyed, but a mischievous grin crossed his face. "You asked me to stay, remember?"

"Woah, slow down their Spikey, let's not get ahead of ourselves." I warned.

"Get ahead of ourselves?"

I lowered my head and whispered in his ear. "We have to bathe first."

Spike giggled and offered a claw. I rested a hoof in his claw and led him to my bathroom. I ran a bath and added the bubbles. Then we slipped into the tub. Then the fun began.
