This is about a special operations soldier, with a dark and twisted past, who finds himself, ponyfied, in Equestria. He has decided to start anew, but he– and his memories and powers– might not be able to stay out of the field of fate's eye for long.

This pony, however, is different, with a new – and potentially world changing– magic in his grasp.

All he wants is a fresh chance, a new life- but with danger darkening their doorstep, will he be able to pursue a quiet life, or must he once again choose to fight for what he stands for?

How will he and his newfound friends, a group of six well-known ponies, save the day, in his duty-dance with death?

AN: The dark tag is more of a "grimlight" theme- more gore and scary, original alien wars than not. And they aren't in Equestria, they are on Terra. And I might add a romance tag, if/when that becomes appropriate. Till then. And most of the chapter titles are either indirectly related to what happens within that chapter, or are lyrics to a song, or something that means something to me.
