Friendship is Magic (Part 1)
"Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two sisters. One ruled the day and its light, and the other watched over the night. One day, the sister of the night saw how people played and walked in the day, and they slept in her beautiful night. This made her furious! Her sister tried to reason with her, but she refused to cooperate.
This turned her into a monster! Nightmare Moon, the sorcerer angel of darkness.
Her sister had no choice but to banish her to the moon. She used the Elements of Harmony to sent her sister to the moon.
The remaining sister took both control of the day and the night, and Equestria was safe at last!"
Twilight Sparkle closed her book, leaned against her favorite tree and looked up at the sky. "I know I've heard of the Elements of Harmony before.... But where?" She asked herself, sighing softly.

Twilight ran to her house, almost bumping into three people.
Twilight kept her balance, hardening her grip on her books.
"Hey, there you are Twilight!" One said. "Moon Dancer is having a little get together today. Wanna come?"
Twilight bit her lip and shook her head. "Sorry girls, I have a lot of studying to do..." And she continued for her house.
The girls watched as Twilight raced off. One rolled her eyes. "Does that girl do anything but study?"
Another shook her head, narrowing her eyes. "I think, she's more interested in those stupid books than friends!"
Twilight sighed as she barged in, calling, "Spike! Here boy! Spike?"
Twilight lied her books on the desk as her dog Spike came running over to Twilight.
"There you are, good boy!" Twilight laughed as Spike rolled over, allowing Twilight to rub his stomach.
Twilight gave him treat as she used her fingers to lift the books and slide them into spots on the bookshelves.
Her fingers glowed a pinkish color, and so did the books as she put them in the correct spots.
Spike barked and rubbed his head against Twilight's legs. Twilight 'awwed' and rubbed behind Spike's ears.
Twilight soon enough lifted another book and held it in her hands.
"E.. e... Elements... e..." Twilight said softly as she flipped to a page. "See, Girl in the Moon?"
She walked upstairs, resting her hands on another book.
"It is said, that on the third day of the thousanth year, the stars will aid in Nightmare Moon's escape and she will cover the land in eternal night."
"Spike, do you know what this means?" Twilight gasped. Spike only barked in response. If only dogs could talk...
"That's it!" Twilight said at once, closing her eyes tightly. Spike soon appeared around a pink ball of light, and he began wining and struggling. Twilight opened her eyes and clapped her hands, making the ball disappear and Spike lying motionless on the ground, except he was breathing.
Twilight smiled and picked Spike up, snuggling his head. "Spike..." Twilight said, "take a letter. To the Princess!"
Spike automatically snapped awake and nodded. "Of course!"
Twilight pumped her fists. "Yes! It worked!"
"What... worked?"
Twilight froze. "Uh... you can now take letters! Or something."
Spike titled his head and took the scroll from Twilight's hand, holding it in his mouth. He placed his paws on it, grabbed a pencil in his teeth, and wrote down each word Twilight said to.
A few minutes later, after Spike had sent the letter (using an unusual blowing system), he burped out another letter.
Twilight picked it up with disgust and unrolled it.
"What?!"
Spike titled his head.
Twilight tossed the letter in the trash, looking out the window.
Spike took it out of the trash can, reading over it. "Come on, Twilight, it's not that bad."
"Not that bad?! The Princess, the ruler! Doesn't approve of books! She won't listen to me!" Twilight groaned loudly and collapsed on a nearby silk couch.
Spike lowered his ears and tossed it back in. "Well, she wants you to go to Ponyville."
Twilight narrowed her eyes. "What?"
Twilight ignored the fact that the Princess had arranged a ride for them, instead Twilight held her suitcase in her left arm, put Spike on her shoulder, and flashed out, teleporting like any normal wizard would.
When they appeared in the middle of Ponyville, Spike hopped down from Twilight's shoulder and stood next to her.
Twilight waved at a few ponies, then took Spike by the leash and they walked towards the library Princess Celestia had arranged for her to stay in.
Twilight dumped her things on a table and walked out again. "Okay Spike, so first is the food."
Spike shook his head. "No. The letter said to make some friends! Come on, Twi, just try!"
