Outside Equestria
The Top
Previous ChapterLife out here, you now, outside Equestria, isn't that bad. The other creatures that are forced here seem to only want to hurt the ponies in Equestria. Maybe it is because the everypony there think they are evil and hate them. I don't know because I don't talk to anypony here.
But before we get started, I need to tell you some stuff you need to know about outside Equestria. First off, Right now I am in a place called the Zone; it is an old building in a wasteland. Nopony or creature out here knows what it used to be used as, but now we use it as a place for trade, and due to the massive amount of stores here, you can always find some work here. This place is the main trade center out here. I am here for one job, and then I'm on the run again.
Second, I am on the run, I'm not running to get somewhere; It's been a year since some mare died telling me to run, and I have learned some stuff about my predicament. I am running away from a group called BDB, I don't know why I am in trouble with these ponies. I don't remember anything before I ran. But because there is a group after me, I believe that there should be other ponies like me, on the run and some that have been caught. I hope that I can meet some of these survivors and learn as much as I can. Then maybe we can stop all of this.
Next are the critters that live out here. You have your changelings, manticores, gryphons, and dragons. There are also ponies and other animals that somehow ended up out here, but everypony knows about them. The only other things that you should know are the Vilks. Nopony knows who or what they are. You really don't want to mess with any of these guys, unless you know them or are doing business. Nothing here wants to stay and meet new faces, everything out here is business. No friends, no family, just work.
Then there is traveling. Everything out here I scattered around, so traveling takes time. After a while, somepony decided to make some camps between places, now they are everywhere. Most of the camps are on the trails, but for the unfortunate ones who get lost, there are a few off the beaten path. They aren't the safest place to sleep, but they are better than sleeping alone. When you go to these camps, it's best to sleep during the day. Ponies are less likely to steal when they are visible in the sun. Though sleeping until dark is worse, as you'll get attacked on the roads at night. So I tend to sleep for about 4 to 5 hours in the morning, then I head on my way until dusk, where I stay up all night at the camps so nothing happens.
Then you got small "towns". They don't have any real place to sleep, unless you get lucky and find one with a small hotel. All they are usually made up of is a group of ponies who set up some houses, then they also made a place for trade, sine a lot of travelers will be going through, and other wanderers set up a home near them. If you’re lucky, you'll get that kind pony who will let you stay the night. They might charge a little, and you might wake up missing some stuff. But all in all, it's safer than the camps. These places aren't for me, as you'll never get work around here, unless you own one of the houses.
The last place are the cities. These are just towns that are older than most, so they have many homes and businesses. Which means that you can find a good amount of jobs to do. Some time ago a group of friends who thought that it would be a good idea to have a unofficial "police force" in the more populated cities to maintain some sort of protection. They aren't the best police, but they get the job done. You can find a hotel to stay at, or if you want to stay permanently there is always a apartment for rent and sale. These are the safest place to stay at, but like I said I am always on the run.
Now you know how to get around out here, and you know about the different options for sleeping and making money. And you know about the different types of things that are out here and not to mess with them. So you now know about The Other Part, outside Equestria, the real story begins.
The story of how I Run.
