"This is really good soup grandpa!" I told my Grandpa who was sitting across from me. "Sally Ann here made it!" He said looking at his new wife. 'Sally Ann..' I thought to myself 'She thinks she can replace my Grandma Cherry Twinkle after all these years.. well' i looked at her with a smile and she smiled back ' SHE CANT' i said to myself looking at her. "So Ditzy Darling" She said to me, breaking the silence. " How is your art profession doing?. Hmm?  I still think you should be in Technology like me." She smiled at me like she was SO innocent. "Yes my art is very good. I have been interested more in it sense you came here!" I told her with an evil smirk 'DITZY SKETCH! STOP THIS INSTANT!" My dad, Penn shouted at me. "Yes" she told me "That's no way to treat your grandmother." she told me "Your not my grandmother" I mumbled to myself. My big sister nudged me. "What darling? I cant here you.." She gave me a frown  " I don't think anybody did." " YOUR NOT MY GRANDMOTHER" I screamed at her " Ditzy." My mother Photo shine said. "NO MOTHER! You know just as well she isn't. You too dad!. They didn't reply "Well darl-" "Stop calling me that!" i told her " You wont ever be my Grandmother nobody but Cherry will!" "Well" She started and stood up "Cherry Twinkle is gone and I am here now so YOU can live with it. Im not even sure she would want to be she wouldn't be proud of what she saw in you Ditzy." My eyes weld up in tears. " How would you know!?" "Because dear..." She stopped when my dad stood up. " Stop Sally Ann, this is my daughter and my mom would be damn proud of what is in my daughter because she would except Ditzy's interests!" "All of you stop!" said my grandpa which looked like he was in tears he got up and walked up stairs Sally looked at me "Now look what you did DITZY" She got up and took a step towards me and I stood up and looked right in her eyes. " I didn't do anything Sally and neither did my family and my Grandma Cherry would be proud of me.. More proud than you'll ever be  of me.." I looked at her with a devil smile "Hmm!" she started  :" Last I remember your Grandma was dead and weak and a sick bastard who is afraid of dying. She wanted to live I can tell you that she might have been a cheat or a prissy brat like you." " YOU DIDN'T KNOW MY GRANDMOTHER!!" I yelled hitting the table Everyone jumped up  " YOU DON'T DESERVE MY GRANDPA!!" She took a step forward and gave me a smirk a smirk that i will remember when im gone. " Oh I didn't have too but lets let bygones be bygones ok sweety?" She stepped forward to give me a hug. "NO! After what you just said!? You aren't my grandmother" I was sobbing  "You'll never be half the thing she is. and  and as long as your here... " I looked at my family and mouthed 'I'M SORRY' then i turned back to sally. "I wont be.." I started crying and ran out the door... "DITZY!!! WAIT!!" I heard my dad and sister say I didn't care I kept running. My Grandpa's house was only a couple of blocks from my school: Canterlot High School it was around 11:45 'Finally the time to get out of this messed up place i call my life!' It had been 29 moons since Twilight left. In 15 minutes I will  have jumped through the portal to Equestria. Tonight is the last night it will be open so i will have to hurry. I got to the school. I had put a bunch of stuff In a backpack. I had planned this last week when Sally had first been the bastard I know now. I saw the portal and looked at the street and saw my Dad's car coming up. I hurried and jumped through the portal. " Who are you!?" I heard somebody say.. I got up and saw Twilight Sparkle and two other tall ponies. "Twilight! Its me! Ditzy Sketch!" I told her with a gleamy face Her face dropped and walked to me.. " Is it really you?" She looked at me and looked into my eyes. "Ditzy.." She hugged me and I sighed " Twilight!" said the tall ponies with flowing hair int front of us." Do you know this pony?" Twilight looked up at them with a smile "Yes my Princesses! This is my dear friend Ditzy Sketch and I am guessing she finally ran away to find me here." She looked at me with tear  filled eyes. The Princess with a sun mark came up and touched my back "Why have you run away my dear child? You know you can not go back to your world for 30 moons now don't you????" She looked at me with a frown and worried eyes I stood up and bowed " I'm guessing you are the lovely Princess Celestia I wrote everything Twilight Sparkle told me about Equestria in a note book!" She blushed then serioused back up. " That still doesn't answer my question 'Ditzy Sketch' " She looked down at me I sighed and looked at the portal "I ran away because I needed to start my life over. You see.." I told her how my Grandma died and how Sally came in 18 years later. I also told her about how Twilight befriended me and I helped with Sunset Shimmer. She just looked at me with wide eyes and I saw her wipe her eyes when I was talking about Cherry Twinkle. "You see" I started  " I need to start a new life and coming to Equestria will help me with that" She sighed and got up and walked to 'Princess Luna' I assume. Twilight came over to me "Wow, I had no idea you had it like that" She lowered her voice "All your friends are here in pony version too!" My eyes lit up but i still whispered "Even Fluttershy???" I remember trying to get with Fluttershy after her and her gf broke up.. Trust me it wasn't any of my friends.. I wouldn't even think about it in that situation. She smiled " Of course" The tall princesses came over. " You can stay Ditzy Sketch but nopony must know of you're coming from." I smiled and bowed " On one condition. You stay in Ponyville and make friends.. You must also write to me on your findings." She smiled and looked at Twilight "Of course Princess!" twilight said then looked at me with a smile "Well we should get to bed. We have a BIG day tomorrow!" The princess nodded at Twilight and walked me out. We were walking down the hallway of a big crystal looking palace. " Ditzy. his is your room the Sun Princess said She led me into a big room and nodded and left me their. It was a big room with white and red decorations. I walked over to a mirror and I couldn't believe what i saw. 'I am a UNICORN!?' i said to myself It was true. I am a white Unicorn with the same orange and red hair. I looked just as I imagined but i imagined myself as an Earth Pony for some reason. I went to the bed and took my backpack of and unzipped it. My contents were Brush Toothbrush Magazine ALL my paint supplies and A picture of Cherry Twinkle I put everything back but the picture. I sat on the bed and held it to my chest and let myself sob.. My door opened and it was Twilight. "Twilight!? You scared me" I looked back down at the picture. She walked over to me and sat on the bed looking at the picture. "That's her isn't it?" "Yep" i couldn't help but shed a couple more tears.  " I tried so hard not to cry telling the Princess about her. And about what Sally said" She put her head on my shoulder and I put my head on hers.. " I missed you a lot when I was here" she told me " I'm glad your back er.. here."  I looked at  her and she was smiling a sincere smile. " I missed you too Twi " I yawned really hard then rubbed my eyes. " Well you're beet. So am I.The portal started buzzing this morning knowing somepony was going to come through so we waited all day for somepony to come through. I am glad that pony was you!" She got up and walked out the door. " Night Ditzy!" she said smiling with a weak tired smile. "Night" She walked out the door.. I put the picture on the nightstand. "Night Grandma Cherry I know running away wasn't really the answer but.." I choked back tears and continued talking to my beloved Grandma " I cant live pretending that its ok with your 'replacement'. Goodnight" I turned of the lamp and closed my eyes dreaming about what my "Friends" will say... " Rise and shine Ditzy!!!!" it was Twilight "Hello and good morning Twilight" I said sleepily "I cant wait for you to see Ponyville and get with the gang again!" She bounced up and down the room. I got up and packed all my stuff and she ushered me out of the room. She had already had a bag around her waist. We were outside and their was a Pegasus carriage waiting for us. It was golden and purple with a six pointed star on it. I assumed it was Twilight's. "This is MY personal carriage. I hope you like it!" One of the guards opened the door. I didn't like it.. I LOVED IT!! It was purple with gold shelves stacked with books and pictures. There was a picture of all the human friends and me.. One of just me and Twilight at the dance.. 3 years ago That was a great day until she left.......... "Its awesome Twilight!" i proclaimed with a huge smile. "My Princess?" said one of the royal guards standing outside the door. "Yes?" Twilight said to him "It is time to depart for Ponyville." He said strongly "Ok!" Twilight said " Let us go to Ponyville. The guard nodded and closed the door. We took off a couple minutes later and got to Ponyville within the 20 minutes.. We stepped of the carriage and were greeted by five ponies who looked an awful lot like.. " Ditzy Sketch?" All of them said together I smiled sheepishly and nodded. " Um yes? Were you expecting something else?" I asked "Nah" said Rainbow Dash??? " We are just surprised to see you in pony form.!" She looked at the girls "Rainbow!!" I went and hugged her and immediately draw beck to see her confused face...  I blushed " Sorry you are just like the pony version of the RD in my world.. hehe" I put my head down and walked behind Twilight and whispered " I feel so embarrassed!!!! I just hugged her and she is probably TOTALLY freaked out!" She grabbed my hoof and brought me forward. " Ditzy its ok!" Rainbow said to me " I know we remind you of your world I might have done the same thing." I looked up and she didn't look freaked out but she had a warm smile. " I am guessing you know all these other ponies too!" I nodded " Pinkie pie" I said pointing to a bouncy pink earth pony. "Rarity" To the purple and white unicorn. "Applejack." To the all the same cowpony I sighed when I saw this. It was Fluttershy hiding behind Applejack. " And Fluttershy." She whispered a small "Hi " and hid back behind Applejack " Fluttershy its ok I know how you are with these things... but I wont do anything to you and you don't  have to be scared of me...." She didn't move a muscle A single tear went down my cheek as I turned around and walked to Twilight. ' My crush doesn't trust me here... I probably wont have chance with her now.' I thought to myself ' You're so stupid to think it would be anything different here' That warm feeling of seeing her was now gone..... " Wait.." I heard a soft voice say I turned around to she Fluttershy out from behind Aj and reaching her hoof out to me. " I " she said strongly " am Fluttershy nice to meet you.." I grabbed her hoof and shook it. She pulled me into a hug " Thanks Shy" She just let out a soft giggle. i was glad to have things back and rolling along. We were at Twilight's house library while she was explaining to Pinkiepie who had a deep frown on her face. " You see Pinkie that's why you cant throw a town party for Ditzy. We cant risk anypony finding out about where she is from.. Pinkie sighed " BUMMER!" She looked at me. " Well we can still throw a friends only party!" She got down on her knees and puppy dog faced Twilight. " Ok Pinkie you can throw a friends only party.." Pinkie shot up and pulled a cannon out of nowhere. She blasted it and there were party supplies all over the library. "How.. in the world!?" I asked th party pony. " Keep calm and NEVER leave home without your party cannon!!!" She said doing cartwheels in circles around me. I just looked at Twilight with a 'WHAT!?' face she just giggled All of the sudden Fluttershy walked in " Hi girls I hope I am not interrupting anything! I just wanted to come and see if Ditzy wanted to hang out with me today.." She looked at me.. Oh dear that look makes my heart melt in human and pony version. " Ditzy why are you staring at me like that... " I practically didn't hear here her with that sweet angelic voice. " DITZY!" Twilight said shaking me with her magic.. My head was throbbing.. " WHAT??" Fluttershy was blushing at me.. " I wanted to know if you want to hang out today but, you seem out of the sorts.... " She turned to walk out the door. " Wait " I ran to the door and tripped on my own hooves. I blushed with embarrassment. Then staggered up to my feet. " I would love to hang out with you today! "  She was smiling at me and I just smiled back. " Great, then how about we meet here at noon?" I looked at the clock it read.nine thirty just enough time to get ready. " O Ok! Noon it is hehe." she just nodded and walked out the door. " Its a date! " She said flying out the door to town I turned around to see Twilight and Pinkie silent with their jaws open. You could have heard a feather in that room 'OMIGOSHDITZYSKETCHANDFLUTTER--" She was stopped by Twilight's hoof in her mouth " Ditzy we need to get you ready for your date!" The excited alicorn said lifting her wings. " We need to call..... the fashionesta!!!" She looked at Pinkie and nodded. Suddenly Pinkie whipped out of the store and came back with Rarity in twenty seconds flat. " Why on earth did you drag me here Pinkie!!" The unicorn looked at Pinkiepie with a frown. Pinkie just smiled. " Ditzy has a date! Rarity looked at me and her eyes were bigger than her head. " O MY GOSH!!! Well before I get you ready you have to tell me with who you are going on this date.." I took a deep breath " Fluttershy! " Rarity gasped " Darling if its Fluttershy all I can do for you is dress your hair and put on makeup!" I looked at her with shock " That's IT?????" I sat on my haunches " Why not a dress or something you know 'Rarity'???" She smiled at me " You know Fluttershy. She likes it when people are natural you just have to be yourself!" She brought me over to a mirror. " That is what  she wants to see." I looked at her. I turned to Twilight " Twi how do i do a levitation spell??" Her eyes got bright and she called out. "Spike! Get my book on simple spells!!!!" We heard that latter zooming then stopping. A green and purple dragon walked in and looked at me. " Who's she?" "Is he safe Twi?" I asked Twilight to make sure he can know she nodded. "Spike you remember Ditzy Sketch from the human world right??" He looked at  me " Of course she was the best ear scratcher in that place. I'm guessing you ran away??" I nodded " Ok! You want to learn levitation? Just asked Twilight and her books!" "Thank you spike!" Twilight said to him as he went back to whatever he was doing.Twilight flipped open the book to the first page and levitated the book to me." This should be easy enough " She told me.'' " Ok" I said reading it. I focused on my hair i want to levitate it into a ponytail. It would be good practice for later levitation. " Here I go " I closed my eyes and  narrowed my eyebrows trying  to do it. All of the sudden they gasped. My hair was in a perfect up do ponytail and there was a blue green aura around my horn. I opened my eyes. " Yes!   Can i try something else??" I looked at Twilight " Try levitating this lamp up in the air and putting it back on the table." She told me. i did just that I looked at the lamp and it went up. I focused on putting it back down. It went down to the table. " YAY DITZY KNOWS MAGIC!!!" Pinkie said bouncing " Hmmmm" Twilight said " Lets try a summoning spell. What do you want to make appear?" I thought really hard and I knew something very easy. i looked at Pinkie and I knew what she was thinking. I closed my eyes again and I heard a big boom. I opened my eyes to see that i did it. I made a huge pink three tier cake appear. " Go ahead Pinkie Pie!" I told the party pony as she dove into the cake .. I was sweating like crazy.. " Oh dear you cannot go on your date all sweaty its already eleven!!" Rarity disappeared and reappeared next to me. " Go get into the shower and wash up CHOP CHOP! You only have an hour!" I ran upstairs and jumped into the shower. I was out in ten minutes. " Can I see that book Twilight?" i said coming downstairs. She levitated the book to me and I used my magic to flip through the pages. I found a hair drying spell. With a flick of my eyes and aura my hair was dry. " Wow" Twilight told me " You are really determined aren't you Ditzy?" I looked at her " Yes I am living here now the first thing i need to do after my date is start looking for a house. Then learn magic." She looked at me with a warm smile and sympathetic eyes. " Ditzy you are a good friend of mine. You can stay until you get on your hooves ok?" " Thank you  Twilight what time is----" The clock said eleven fifty. " SWEET CELESTIA YOU NEED MAKEUP!" Rarity said pushing me into a chair. There was a cloud of dust and then everything was clear. Twilight and Pinkiepie were ooing ans aweing at me. I went to the mirror.. " Rarity I look amazing! Thanks a lot i hope Fluttershy will like like it." There was a knock at the door and everypony scrambled. " Go make a big entrance while we answer the door." Suddenly Rainbow dash came through the door. " Hey why is Shy acting all mushy and out of it today?!" Everypony sighed at Rainbow dash " What!?" she said in her cocky voice. I came down stairs " We were expecting Fluttershy.." I looked at the girls and then Fluttershy flew in. " You ready Dit--- wow your makeup is really pretty.. I mean NICE its um hehe yeah" She was blushing a brighter red than Rainbows mane. " Thanks Fluttershy where are we going??" She looked at me with a smile. " Just a walk through the  park!" She looked at the other mares " Bye girls! We will be back soon."The rest of them waved and we left. " Those two are going on a date.?? " Rainbow asked "Aw Fluttershy has finally come out of her comfort zone!" We were walking in the park when I caught Fluttershy staring at me. When I looked she quickly turned the other way. " So whats your special talent Ditzy.?" She finally said I hadn't thought of it. come to think of it I don't have a mark on my thigh like the other girls do.. " I don't know" I told her " I like art a lot. " She looked at me. " Well the, of to the Art store to get  your cutie mark!!" She started running and I followed after her. I couldn't believe my eyes! " Wow this is the most art supplies I have ever seen!" Fluttershy told me " I know right luckily I brought money! " " I don't think we we pay with the same stuff as your world does. ' Fluttershy told me with a frown. " How about I give you ten bits for some stuff!?" " Oh Fluttershy that would be great but you really dont have to.. Its ok really." " No I insist If it helps you find your special talent then I would do anything to help!" "Flutt-" I was stopped by her hoof pressed against my lips. That felt so good I thought as she took it away. " Now go get some stuff!!!" She handed me ten bits and I hugged her "Thanks Shy." We were at the  art store for about a half an hour until I got what I needed. Ten bits can get you alot here. " What did you get" She asked me " A canvas and paint. Oh and 4 different brushes!" I took out all the stuff and showed them to her. " So what are you going to paint?" Fluttershy asked me. I looked at her and she blushed. " I have somepony in mind" when i said that she covered her face with her wings. " How about you draw some butterflies instead. hehe... " She looked at some butterflies I went to work as she flew around with the butterflies. That's what I am gonna draw.. I thought to myself.                     ONE HALF AN HOUR LATER " Hey Shy! I'm done come take a look!" She flew over and gasped " Oh Ditzy is beautiful!" It was a picture of Fluttershy chasing butterflies and me running on the ground close behind. " i told you I had somepony in mind!" She looked at me with tears in her eyes. " Its so beautiful Ditzy!!!" She hugged me " Almost as beautiful as you.." I said into her shoulder She pulled me out with a shocked look on her. We stared at eachother for a couple of second then I leaned in until our lips met. It was a long kiss. I loved every second of it. When we broke apart she was staring behind me. I looked behind me and gasped. There was my cutie mark! 3 six pointed stars for art! one is read the other two are green and blue. " Ditzy your cutie mark is awesome!" We heard a voice from above say. We looked up and say Rainbow dash with her head sticking out of a cloud. " RAINBOW DASH!?" We both shouted stepping away from eachother. Fluttershy was covering her face with her wings lying on the ground. I was sitting on the ground by her with my hoof on her shoulder. " Rainbow!?" I yelled " Why were you spying on us!?" " We all were!" I heard Pinkie say as the rest of the ponies came out from the trees. " Yes darling we HAD to see if you two would be together after your date!" the unicorn said. Everyone was there but Twilight who thought snooping was wrong . ( I agree) " WHY!? That is humiliating. having other ponies spying on our first date and kiss!" I yelled at them. they all hung there heads. " Your right.." Applejack said " I'm sorry Shy" she told the Pegasus who had her head now in my shoulder. " Sorry Fluttershy.." They all said She lifted her head " Its alright. I guess I cant stay mad at you girls!" We all came in for a hug and walked back to the library. Where there is none hurt there is no trouble." Pinkie pie sat down and grabbed a cupcake that was blasted from her cannon earlier. " Hey Ditz?" She asked me through chews. " How DID Cherry Twinkle die? " Everything was silent. Rainbow punched the curious pink pony in the arm. " Pinkiepie! That is the least thing she wants to talk about!" Pinkie pie's hair made a pop as she walked over. I had my head down trying to hold back tears. I looked up to see her hair was dark and flat.. " I   I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking.." she said. I could see the regret in her eyes. Fluttershy walked in front of me but my eyes didn't meet hers. I just looked back down at the ground. " Come on y'all  lets leave her be." Applejack said. " No." I said in a quiet voice. It was just barely loud enough for them to hear. * SNIFF * " I ran away because of it. You all should know how it happened.." Fluttershy came over with a sad look. " No, you dont have to Ditzy it's fine really." She looked at me with a stern look " You need to know what happened and.. I want to tell. " I looked at all of them as the sat down. Fluttershy sat down beside me. " It happened before i was born... My dad was about to come home with a surprise for Cherry." 18 YEARS AGO My grandma had been sick and supposedly getting better. She was sitting in a chair reading. Cherry had always been  a little bit skeptical about my dad's long 90's hair. " Hey mom! I have a surprise for you! " Penn said  opening the door. Cherry Twinkle coughed and looked up from her book with wide weak eyes. " Is that so? Bring it here then Penn!" My grandmother said as my dad walked in. His hair was a clean up cut he had gotten for her. She gasped " Oh son it looks.. looks " She got up and reached for her glass but fell to the floor coughing. " Mom are you alright?!" Penn said pulling the coughing Cherry Twinkle to her feet. She just fell again. My grandpa was at work so Penn didn't know what to do. My poor dad was frightened. " Call....... the hospital." She managed to say through coughs. My dad ran to the kitchen and dialed 9-1-1 on the wall phone. An operators voice came through. " 911 what is your emergency?! " My dad was crying. " My mom is falling and coughing. She.... She can barely breath!" There was a faint groan from where his mom was. " Calm down sir I am sending an ambulance right now. They are on there way. I need you to----". My dad dropped the phone when he heard his mother cry out in pain. " PENN!! UGGGHH" He rushed to her and put her head on his lap. He was sobbing like a baby. " Mom I I called the medics. They are SNIFF on there way." She was crying as she looked up at him and gave him her best weak smile. " Baby shh. I want you to know I love you so so much. Don't you forget it. tell your dad I love him. " She told him weakly " NO!!! Mom you're gonna be okay.!!!!!" He lied to her. " The medics are on there way, see!?!? " There were sirens out the door getting louder. " No Penn. The Lord is calling me * COUGH COUGH* I love you.. I love you so so mu-------" BACK IN EQUESTRIA I was sobbing like a baby.... Pinkie was being comforted by Twilight who was teared up as well. I was laying with my head under my hoofs. My comforting marefreind was stroking my main. " Shhhhh It's okay. It's okay." i knew she was trying to help but it wasn't working. I got up and saw Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow Dash all sitting on the floor trying there best not to cry or in Rarity's case, ruin makeup. " Guys it's fine you dont have to be this sad!" I told them turning to Fluttershy for help. I gave her a worried look and she just nodded. " Here i know how to lighten the mood."  She cleared her throat and began to sing. Stars and moons and air balloons. Fluffy clouds to the horizon. I'll wrap you in rainbows, and rock you to sleep again Everypony looked at her and smiled Pinkiepie started to sing with her. Teddy bears of pink, ducks and lambs of white. Don't you cry dear I'm hear now, I'll be your nightlight. They sang in unison. Twilight and Rarity started to sing along. Everypony walked to me and sat down. Smiles to cure the frowns. Twirling and tumbling in laughter. Soon your life will always be, happily ever after. Rainbow shrugged and looked at Applejack who merely nodded. They started to sing along. Never more will the storms come to destroy your little world. Never more will the waters rise til' the mountains no longer touch the skies All of them giggled. Pinkiepie's hair was back to normal. Twilight yawned and looked out the window. It was Pitch dark outside and it was starting to rain. " Rainbow did you know about the weather?" She asked the cyan pegasus. " No actually I didn't go to work today. I was helping Derpy with the mail." The thunder roared and made Fluttershy jump. " Thunderlane was telling me about a nasty storm though. I guess I forgot.. Hehe" All the ponies just sighed.
