I'm not a bad pony am I? All I wanted was some appreciation from others. Any kind of thanks like, 'Hey Luna, your night sky looks beautiful tonight,' or 'Wow Luna I should stay up more often to see your night sky!'. No everypony slept through my night.
Well except my beloved sister Tia. She stayed up most nights and looked at my sky. I love her even more for that.
It's not that I became this horrible creature that I am on purpose, it's just that I seemed to have forgotten everything my beloved sister had done for me.
She stayed up late when the pegasi had brought the large and terrible thunderstorms, calming me down and staying with me until they were over. During our games of tag and find-the-sister (I made that game up) if I got hurt in anyway she would rush to my aid and heal me with one of her spells. Once, I had gotten lost in Canterlot and she immediately panicked and ran around asking everypony if they had seen me at all. When she found me she gave me a hug and started crying, saying that if she ever lost me she would cry forever.
I guess I had forgotten all these things when I became this evil creature that I am now. This midnight black-and-blue beast that scares little fillies into doing what their mother's tell them to do.
Tia would help me bring the moon and we would put up the stars together. We shared cake, and she laughed when I started asking the cook for peanut butter-and-pickle sandwiches. I can still remember the look on his face when he realized that I wasn't kidding. She played with me, ate with me, helped me in every way that she could, and loved me very much.
She was the best sister in all of Equestria.
Yet here I am, stuck on the moon trying to wish away everything that I have ever done. You'd think that my moon prison was a large bare rock right? Wrong. It appears to be Autumn in Canterlot in my prison, but nopony is around. The houses are bare, the stores are full of wonderful food but nopony is buying anything. The castle is bare, leaving me to sit alone in the two chairs in the throne room.
Right now I am in the castle gardens, watching all of the leaves drop from the oak trees. *Sighs* All I wanted was some appreciation from some other pony! Perhaps I thought that if the moon was not lowered for a day, ponies would realize what a beautiful night I make for them but alas, I cannot change the past.
Oh Tia was everything anypony would ever want in a sister. I remember that when we were younger, we would play in the gardens and chase each other while the leaves fell. I would play dress-up with her and she would laugh when she saw how ridiculous I looked in the clothes. Sometimes, if I had a really terrible nightmare, she would come in my room and sing. I can still remember the song she sang to me during those scary nights.
Hush now Luna, don't be afraid

Look at me, I'm weeping because I want everything to go away. I want my sister back, i want my friends back, I want my old LIFE back! Everything was so much better before I became this monster. This horrible, scary monster of the night that lets her jealousy and fears get the best of her. Perhaps I should write a letter to Tia and apologize to her. Perhaps . . . no she wouldn't forgive me for ruining everything.
Or maybe she will! Maybe if I say I'm sorry she'll forgive me! Oh it would be wonderful if I had someone else to talk to, and if she forgave me I'd be ecstatic. Yes I'll use my small supply of paper and ink and write her a letter. Hmm let's see,
Dear Tia,
I am writing this letter to you because I want to say that I'm sorry. My jealousy and anger went over the top when nopony else would look at my night sky, all I wanted was for others to appreciate me like you do. I miss you Tia, more than I have ever missed you before. I hope that you can forgive me someday.

I think that letter is perfect, or as perfect as it gets. Now all I have to do is send it, but I don't think it will get there this exact minute, I'm really far away from her. *Picks up scroll and sends it* Perfect! Now I have to wait a while for her to send one back to me. In the mean time I'm going to go take a nap.
237 Years Later . . . . .
Princess Celestia rested her head on a pillow near her fireplace, it had been an excruciating day with the nobles, they acted so much like foals. She slowly closed her eyes and began to drift off to sleep when there was a loud Pop! and a scroll fell to the floor. She groaned, who could that possibly be from?
She picked it up using her magic and opened it and found, much to her surprise, a letter from her dear sister Luna.
Dear Tia,
I am writing this letter to you because I want to say that I'm sorry. My jealousy and anger went over the top when nopony else would look at my night sky, all I wanted was for others to appreciate me like you do. I miss you Tia, more than I have ever missed you before. I hope that you can forgive me someday.

Tears flowed into her eyes, of course she would forgive her sister! It was all of her fault that her dearest sister was on the moon! "When she comes back, I will make sure to apologize to her." Celestia vowed before tucking the scroll away and drifting back to sleep.
One single tear fell from her eye. "Luna I miss you."
