Big Macintosh does not like chastity. However, going out and starting a family is a bit too much for him to handle along with working the farm, and so he and Applejack have a standing agreement that until things get to be financially stable and they're not living year-to-year, neither of them gets drunk and does anything with lifelong consequences.
