A Prussian in a Strange Land

Franz entered into a large open area inside the town hall. He looked around, it was deserted. He saw a door on the far right and immediately walked over to it. As he got closer to the door he could hear voices...

"I told you there was a bright flash of light over the forest, and just this morning there was a sighting of Human Walking about the town!" said one of the voices.

"We cant just send ponies to investigate everything that happens in the Everfree forrest." said another voice this one sounded more elderly.

"Half the town saw it!" yelled the first voice again "If we don't investigate it we could be in great danger, this one might be more dangerous than the first one!"

Nothing else was said, he could hear steps approaching the door. The door opened and there stood a small purple unicorn staring up at him in terror. The other pony still standing inside the room looked at the two as their gazes met.  The small purple pony looked him over then regained its bearings.

"Uh...um, I-I'm Twilight Sparkle who are you?" Said the small unicorn obviously trying to break the silence by breaking anything.

Franz looked down at the unicorn"Lt. Franz of the 1st Leib Hussars...Totenkopf" he said

"Well um what are you doing here?" said the unicorn

"I was hoping to ask one of you the same thing, are by any chance the mayor?"

"Oh no shes right here." Twilight said as the mayor approached

"Hello um...Franz I'm Mayor Mare, how can I help you."

"Yes I would like directions to Berlin, or Konigsberg whichever may be closer." said Franz casually

"Um...Well could you give me a moment to look at a map, you can wait in the room across from this one."

"Fine" replied Franz somewhat annoyed that he would have to wait even more to get back to Prussia.

He walked across the open room and up to the other door. Another sign he couldn't read, he ignored it and opened the door. He walked in but stepped back at what he saw. There stood a tall French cuirassier. "Mein Gott!" Franz yelled in surprise as they drew their swords. The cuirassier lunged at him, Franz parried and retaliated, landing a blow at his Breastplate. The cuirassier leaped at Franz tackling him through the door way into the main hall of the building. Franz pushed him off and slashed at the cuirassier's neck. He ducked and the top of the horse hair decoration on his helmet. Franz kicked him o the ground and swiped downward at the cuirassier as he tried to block. Suddenly Franz felt a sensation flow through him, his blade then stopped a few inches from the cuirassier face. Neither Franz nor the cuirassier could move. He looked to their right side, to find Twilight using some sort of magic to stop the fight. She then used her magic once more to separate the two. She then released them and they stood up staring at eachother as they held their swords readied.
