I thought that to myself over and over again as I got ready to start my day. The thoughts ran through my head until it was the only idea I could concentrate on. The bed covers were nearly as messy as my mane. As I got up I found my back hoof was tangled in them leaving me to tumble unceremoniously to the ground with a thump.
I clawed my way towards the bathroom, through the open door. The bed covers were reluctant to let go so easily, and it took several attempts to free my hind leg from it. Once it did let go, I forced myself to look upwards to the white porcelain sink.
Through my tangled green mane I could see myself in the mirror, my rather plain earth pony features mostly buried by that mass of hair. I yawned, my teeth were fairly white, but I brushed them nonetheless, that’s what the Madame told us to do every morning. Doing this everyday had made them as white as the porcelain underneath my chin, even in the bright glare of the several bright light-bulbs positioned above the mirror. Madame Marelevolent had ensured that all of her...’employees’ were comfortable in their rooms, and the numerous beauty creams had definitely worked.
I leaned in close to the mirror, raising a hoof to check on a particularly stubborn spot that occupied my face the entirety of last week. Success. The cream had reduced it down to the point that it wouldn't be visible to anyone who looked at me with anything but a magnifying glass. I settled back onto my back hooves.
“Alluring as possible. “
There was a plain toothbrush attached to a hinge on the wall near the sink. I swung it in front of me with a single, practised flick of my hoof, moving my head to work it over my teeth. Being an earth-pony has its drawbacks. But hey, it could always be worse. I had poked myself in the gums many times before when my mind wandered. Today was no different.
I drew back sharply from the pressure against my gums, letting out a quick gasp of sharp pain. But it faded quickly, and it was soothed by toothpaste foam and my tongue rubbing over the spot. I had to stop letting my thoughts drift while brushing my teeth, it was apparently a dangerous thing to do.
I did similarly with a larger brush on another hinge nearby, combing my mane into it’s usual style, nice and wavy down the back of my neck. Whilst I definitely had longer hair than average, thanks to the customer’s wishes, it didn't even come close to the length of The Madame’s....Nothing like the Madame’s...No doubt back when she would have had my job it was the delight of every stallion to cross the threshold. Risque thoughts crossed my mind, but I shook my head to clear my mind. I smiled at myself in the mirror as my hair reached the presentable level, far away from dreaded bed hair.
The smile didn’t touch my eyes.
On habit I examined my face for blemishes, maybe a bruise. Couldn’t have that, that wouldn’t do. Oh Goddess. That wouldn’t do. That’s what she always said. I was starting to sound like her.
Still my orangish tan coat seemed the same as always, the little freckles still pockmarked over my face. The Madame said they were cute. She liked cute, cute brought in bits.
“Trick Turner? Trick Turner it’s time for breakfast!” A voice called into my room from the hallway. Eight-thirty. Breakfast for the house.
I sighed to myself, time to start the day, same as always. ‘It was important for the House to share breakfast.’ The Madame had repeated many times. ‘It encourages conversations and friendships to grow between you girls.’
“Must look presentable: arched back, swaying hips, bedroom eyes, be as alluring as possible.” I mumbled under my breath before putting my smile back on and heading for the door.
I took one last look at my room. It was rather messy, last night had made sure of that, the covers were strewn about, and and various things had been knocked off the nightstand and onto the floor. One of the curtains was also crooked.
She might not like that. I hoped I’d have time to fix it before she got a chance to peek inside and see. Hopfully my room wasn’t on the list for inspection today.
The door creaked open when I pushed. It always did, they all did. You would know when business was in full flow when the creaky doors drew to a silence as each room was filled.
You could always tell who got a good turn around, they didn’t even have to say anything. They did anyway though, oh gossip how you are the bread and butter of the world. I could hear their voices before I even rounded the corner at the bottom of the staircase. Loud, lilting voices echoed from the large dining hall, capable of seating all of the girls with room to spare.
I walked down the hall to the stairs, my hooves clicking as they always did on the wooden floor. It was expensive wood, every little step made a deep sound, like a fancy drum in miniature. No police ponies could sneak up on you when their every move was a Samba.
It also happened to make sneaking out very difficult.
That rarely happened though.
Rarely.
Down the stairs and round the corner I came into the kitchen. Seems I was one of the last, the rest of the girls were already sitting around, chatting about various unimportant things. New mane styles, the best way to hold one’s tail to offer the best view without exposing the goods, if Bedazzler was falling for one of her clients. I hoped not, that seldom ended well.
All of them milled about with arched backs, swaying hips, as alluring as possible. Admittedly one of the pluses of this job was the eye candy, although I didn’t see Her anywhere. That wasn’t particularly unusual, she was often busy on the town...adding to the coffers, as she liked to put it. It seemed at times we were more of a hobby.

“Mornin’, Trick,” said a mare to my left.
“Morning, Lace,” I said absentmindedly. On some level I was aware she was putting a plate of daisy salad in front of me. “Did you sleep well?”
She shrugged, her long brown mane draping over her shoulders. “Eh, so, you probably slept better though, eh?” she nudged me teasingly. “Lots’a bucks at your door. Wouldn’t be surprised if you were out like a light the second the last one left.” I nodded, pushing the night out of my mind.
“Um...yeah, lots of business. Good for the house.” I smiled.
She nudged me again, I was very lucky to remain upright.
“I’ll say! One of our top mares last night! Next to me of course!” She chuckled. “Keep it up, she’ll be happy to hear you did so well.” She returned my smile, though hers looked a lot better. She turned and left.

I took a bite of my salad. It was good. We must have had extra money this week, that or one of us had done a good job of pleasing her. I wasn’t sure which. The mindless chatter around me continued as I munched on my salad. I wondered if they all really enjoyed their jobs or if they were just faking it? I really wasn’t sure myself to be honest...I mean I could be doing worse things. I had done worse things.
She’d found me in a gutter somewhere and taken me in. There was food, a soft bed, lights, air conditioning for the stifling summer outside. But it wasn’t free.
Still it was a fair enough trade.

The chatter died abruptly as we heard a massive pair of hooves clicking against the hardwood floors of the house. Near the entrance.
She was back.
They strolled at a leisurely pace. Through the sitting room, past the bar and restaurant, the parlor, the ‘Special’ rooms, and then into the hallway leading to the kitchen. There were two double doors between us and the hallway.
I braced myself.
“Hello my pretties!” They swung open with a bang revealing her, Madame Marelevolent. Though she prefered simply, The Madame. She was taller than any of us by another half pony at least. I was pretty sure she could rival the princesses in height if you took a tape measurer and happened to have access to the royal palace. Her pale white coat was perfectly maintained as always. She strolled into the room, back arched, hips swaying, and oh so alluring. But despite all her other eye catching features there was something anyone looking at her would immediately notice, Madame’s mane and tail.
The hairs were fine and combed to perfection, so much so that it was hard to tell where one ended and another began. They came together to form an inky black, deep and dark, like the bottom of the ocean in the middle of the night, the purest color I had ever seen on anything, natural or unnatural. Her mane easily reached down to her knees, and her tail stretched along the floor, somehow never dirty for its dragging. Both flowed like sinuous liquid as she moved.
And all of us were well aware just how special they were.
She moved towards us, every movement graceful and poised as she walked to the front of the table. She made a show of sitting in her chair, settling her rump down and wiggling to get comfortable. She always gave off the air that she was enjoying herself, far more than was classically polite, with every movement. She smiled at us, her eyes lidded, and I felt a shiver tingle up my body.
“So, it seems we did a good trade last night,” she said smoothly, her deep voice washing leisurely over the table.
A yellow and blue mare, Fishnets, was the first to find her voice.
“Oh yes, yes Madame.” she nodded, glad to see our benefactor happy. “Each of us had a full room for most of the night. You know how the bucks get on weekends.”
She nodded, taking a dainty bite of her salad.
“I most certainly do.” her smiled crawled up along her cheeks. Even though she had a full plate of food in front of her, it was still a hungry expression. “Such needy little things.”
I found myself nodding with everyone else.
“So,” she purred. “Who was our top mare for the night girls? Come come, don't be shy.”
The mare sitting next to Lace, Leather-They tended to sit together- raised her dark chocolate colored hoof.
“It was Lace, Madame!”
The large mare nodded in approval. “No surprise there, she is always one of my top girls, are you not Lace?” she asked, taking another small bite of salad.
It took some nudging from Leather to get her to reply.
“O-oh! Yes, Madame. B-but it’s nothing Madame, I-”
“Nonsense,” the Madame’s hoof was in the air before any of us could blink. Somehow she didn't make it look like a sudden movement. “You're always so wonderfully productive.” she punctuated by taking another bite of salad before standing up and sauntering over to Lace. “I do so appreciate your hard work.” she touched her cheek with a hoof, drawing it down along her face to lift her chin. I could see Lace shudder at that.“Such a good little filly.”
All of us looked on, unsure what to do next. We knew what was coming.
“Now, Lace,” she said, rubbing gently underneath the mare's chin as she spoke. Lace began to shift in her seat, biting her lip. “Tell me, who had the worst turnaround from last night?”
I could see the poor mare struggling, she was kind at heart, but when Madame asked you a question you answered.
“Sweet Kiss,” she breathed. I could see her chest rising and falling under Madame’s touch.
“Thank you Lace.” she cooed slowly drawing her hoof down from her chin and along her side in a smooth motion.
Lace nearly fell over. She’d never really had any self restraint.
Those dark, hungry eyes turned to Sweet Kiss, who had taken the chair farthest from her gaze, she tried to make herself smaller, to hide, but it wasn’t of any real use. The large graceful mare was at her side in a few languid steps, her muzzle right in her ear, lips brushing along it.
“Sweet kiss?” she asked.
The poor little mare squirmed in her seat, knowing better than to try to wiggle away. “Y-yes Madame?”
“Do you know why you had so few callers? I’m curious.” she stretched out that last word more than I thought possible.
Sweet Kiss could hardly find her voice, I felt both pity, and in a deeper, darker part of myself a strange jealousy for her.
“I-I’m sorry I-”
“Shhhh, shhhh,” Even from here I could feel those words vibrate against her ear. “It’s okay. I know why. You didn’t try hard enough sweety, and that won’t do. But It’s okay.”
Sweet Kiss made a strained, needy sound.
“You know what happens now, don’t you?”
The smaller mare nodded quickly.
And the Madame’s mane came to life. several strands of smooth soft hair hovered about like snakes, her lips still pressed against Sweet Kiss’s ear intimately. They started to caress her. The Madame was hungry today...I watched as several strands started to venture low on her body.
“Your Madame will show you the love they couldn’t. Come with me.”
More strands of inky black mane started to slowly ensnare her body as we watched, the helpless mare moaned, the Madame’s coos of comfort gentle in her ear. One wrapped around her neck, my own breath felt strained as I watched it squeeze her gently, the tip stroking along her chin. My nostrils flared. The poor girl was already wet.
Her body was slowly wrapped up and lifted as though it weighed nothing.
The Madame ‘s eyes slowly turned to us. We all averted our gazes at once, didn't want to stare, that simply wouldn't do.
“Enjoy your breakfast, girls,” she said simply, before gracefully turning and heading past each of us in turn, taking her time, letting us know who was in charge.
She vanished out the double doors.
None of us breathed until we heard her hoofsteps echo down the hall, through the parlor and to the special rooms.
I tried to finish my breakfast, but I've always had good hearing.
Through the walls of the brothel, I could hear Sweet Kiss moaning.

Getting Down to Business
I pushed that morning to the back of my head as the day started properly. I was pretty sure most of us could hear Sweet Kiss for quite a while afterwards. Hours it seemed. But we didn’t see the Madame again either so it was a mixed blessing.
Though I had my own troubles to worry about, while I was one of the top mares last night, it wasn’t a usual occurrence and I took it in my stride as just another day. There was a lot of prep to do around the brothel, the bar needed to be cleaned, the floors swept, manes combed tails fluffed. Everything had to look as alluring as possible. That was how it was.
Another small blessing of the Madame’s distraction was that I had time to clean my room. I did it hurriedly, draping the covers over the bed properly, tucking them in, picking up knick knacks, everything had to be immaculate. Last night had been a bit more...active than usual, so there was an extra amount of tidying to make everything look immaculate for the next guest.
In my haste, I didn’t even hear the door open.
Focusing on tidying and aligning the bedside table, the dark figure was able to step inside without me noticing. My heart almost exploded as a hoof tapped against my shoulder. I fell to the floor in surprise.
“I’m sorry Madame! I’ll clean faster I-” My pleas died in my throat as I looked up to see Leather standing above me.
“Oh wow, I’m sorry Trick....” She helped me to my hooves, I tried to stop my heart from beating so much, taking deep calming breaths. It gave me an excuse to look over Leather once or...thrice. She was a shapely chocolate brown mare with a snow white mane in poofy curls around her head.
“Luna’s moon-shattering orgasms, Leather! You scared me half to death!”
She looked sheepish for a moment. “I’m sorry, I just...I wanted to ask if you’re okay?”
I tilted my head. “Okay?”
She nodded. “Yeah, you had one of your first really busy nights last night. It can take a toll on a mare.”
I shuddered, but pushed the thought away. “Oh, um...yeah, yeah I’m fine. I’m fine, no worries.” She looked me over for a moment, a bit skeptical. I felt a bead of sweat pour down my forehead.
“Alright, if you say so. But if you need to talk I’m here, ‘kay shug?” She leaned over and gave me a peck on the cheek.
Oh Goddesses, her lips were soft.
“O-okay” I managed. “I will.”
“‘kay, you have a nice night sugar.” she sauntered out of my room, back arched, hips swaying, and by Princess Celestia’s gilded nipples so very alluring.
I knew that it was custom, where Leather came from to share a kiss between friends. But I was afraid it might just do me in one of these days. I sighed to myself as my door closed and clenched my hind legs shut in an effort to get my lady parts to stop tingling. Nopony could know.
I didn’t exactly like stallions all that much.
Sure there were some mares who swung both ways, particularly for the Madame, as she had a certain addictive quality about her, but I was fairly certain my barn door was swung in one direction, then nailed and welded there. I didn’t want to think about what might happen if the Madame found out. I’d only barely managed to hold my own when things had gotten heavy last night. It was mostly luck that things even had. It must have been my freckles or my swaying hips. I walked into the parlor and got mobbed...then spent the night ‘doing my job’.
I shuddered.
“I’d much rather work on Leather. GAH! Bad brain!”
I shook myself of those thoughts and finished cleaning my room. The front doors would open soon for the tired graveyard-shift customers. I could hear the others walking around; polishing, dusting, shining, primping, the lot of it. With a sigh I walked over to my closet. The outfit hung there as it always did, despite last night's less than clean activities, cleaned and pressed. It was a deep red and black number, with lacy frills around the fore and rear hooves, particularly around the rear. Thin, almost nonexistant stockings hung from each leg hole, they’d hug me tightly, I knew that. A large red feather completed the ensemble.
This wasn’t the outfit a respectable mare wore.
Good thing I’d never really been one of those.
This was the kind of outfit you turned tricks in.
Appropriate.
I dressed quickly, the lace tickled me in places I knew the stallions would enjoy as the smooth garment slid over my body, caressing along my curvaceous flanks, squeezing them slightly.
I checked all the straps and zippers, looking at myself in the mirror, as I walked over to apply my makeup. The skintight fabric made my rump stick out, accentuating the supple curve of my flesh in ways that may as well have been magic. It held what little belly I could claim in check. tapered waist, flared hips and a movement to accentuate that. The Madame insisted on this.
I applied my makeup with deft hooves. A nice bit of liner around my eyes, not too much, but just enough to make you look, want to see those bedroom eyes with thick, lustrous lashes.
I made final preparations before stepping out of my room and down the noisy hallway, down the steps...past the ‘Special’ rooms. Sweet Kiss still hadn’t reappeared, though the moaning had stopped a little while ago.
I wondered how hard the Madame had been on her. Still, no time to worry about the poor mare. The Madame always returned with her pick intact...if exhausted. I had been lucky to not be taken by the Madame just yet, although I knew my luck would run out sooner or later
I came to the front of the house and every scrap of clothing was done up in a deep, sinful scarlet mixed with onyx black with highlights of bone white or shining chrome as buckles or buttons. Through the windows I could see the streets of Manehatten, and hear ponies trotting about. Mares were making final preparations. It was almost time to open. I braced myself.
“Alright girls!” said Fishnets. Addressing us all, she usually took charge when the Madame was busy. “Let’s make tonight a good night, I want your most sensual sways, your most lecherous looks, I want magnificent manes and tantalizing tails, bring your most alluring attitude, or stay in your room. Got it!?”
“Got it!” we all said automatically. Tension and anticipation was building as we assumed our positions to look like we were casually spread around.
“Then lets go ladies!” She barked, nodding to the pony at the door to open the wooden barriers.
The doors opened, and business began. Most of the customers were obviously male; stallions that were single or those that betrayed their marefriend’s trust. It didn’t matter to the Madame. It was a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy we upheld.
Cocktail Dress stood behind the bar in her usual bartenders garb, it was an outfit for a stallion, but according to the Madame some stallions liked that kind of thing. I could see why, she made it look adorable as she mixed up various drinks with her magic, orange hooves skillfully handling other things.
Stallions always came to her first, if they were drunk they weren’t very careful with their bits, and that’s how we liked it. The sound of the mixers shaking and glasses clinking a constant background hum to the activity.
They flooded into the doors, hell, there’d been a queue around the block to get in. From the outside it looked like a simple restaurant. Madame Marelevolent’s ensured that her brothel was the first place to think about when there was even a tinge of desires going unfulfilled.There wasn’t even a sign out front, it was a local secret. A local secret that got around.
A lot.
My nostrils flared, I could smell them, the stallions coming in, most of them were already excited, a sea of lingering gazes and wandering hooves.
We always started the shift as waitresses. Each of was done up in the garbs of our namesakes. Leather walked around in an outfit made of genuine manticore hide, there was something taboo about it, something sensual, a cat-o-nine-tails was strapped to her back, in easy reach, its thick tassels drifted down her sides, shifting with her generous hips.
She had nothing on Lace however, no one had anything on Lace. That mare had the plump hips that could make a loyal palace guard give up his post and follow like a puppy dog. She knew how to work it too as she swayed between the tables, the most pristine, white lace covering her torso and delicately covering most of her rump.
Most of it anyway. What mattered at least.

When I’d started, I’d thought it was weird. I mean the lot of us usually just walked around stark naked. It’s how most of the mares in the city seemed to. How would putting on more layers make us sexier?
Goddess, now it almost seemed like a stupid question.
“Hey Trick, why don’t you take tables four and seven?” asked a voice. I turned to see Honeysuckle peeking out of the restaurant kitchen. She was one of the few mares who didn’t have to walk the floors every night. Though on occasion she was requested by a client. Probably do to her voice alone, it was smooth, soft, and deliciously nice to hear and she had calmly stated she had finished a stallion off once with nothing but her words. It was almost like the Madame’s own. But no one requested the Madame. The Madame requested ponies. Although her requests were more demands that no one dared refuse.
I nodded and walked out into the beehive that was the restaurant front. All of the girls were walking around, charming customers and taking orders. Some were already heading up to their rooms with males of various sizes. Damn they worked fast.
I sashayed my way up to table seven, lidding my eyes as I leaned forwards to take their orders. Two bucks sat at the table, a scrawny red coated one in a bowler and a pinstriped suit, he had his hoof around a younger buck, who wore a similar get up, he looked nervous.
“My friend here’ll have a grilled vegetable medley, and I’ll take the fried oatcakes, got all that sweetheart?”
My coat bristled a bit at being called sweetheart, but I let it pass, turning the frown that threatened to cloud my face into a slow smile.
“Of course, big boy,” I replied.
“Wonderful, and uh.” he licked his lips, he was almost drooling. “What’s for dessert?” I suppressed a shudder.
My body was on autopilot, I leaned forwards, letting my perfume wash over him. “Anything you want, stud.” I pecked his cheek.
He tasted like cigarette ash. Disgusting
“Back in a minute, don’t you two go anywhere now.” I let out a girlish chuckle and turned,
swinging my ass into my stride way more than was necessary to get from point A to point B. “Must be alluring as possible”
Tail up two inches at dock, arc and sway, I could feel their gazes, the two sets of eyes together very nearly burned a hole in it.
As I walked by to the kitchen a woozy mare stumbled into my field of vision. My eyes widened, it was Sweet Kiss, she looked pale and disoriented, her hind legs we spaced apart oddly, she almost waddled. I don’t think I’d ever seen a mare directly after her time with the Madame. Most were either too exhausted, or too polite to wander out so soon.
“Sweet Kiss!” I trotted over to help support her on my flank, she was breathing heavily. “Y-you should be in bed!”
She shook her head. She was already done up in her usual outfit, a red satin dress which covered her whole lower half, but clung so tight it might’ve been better off not bothering.
“Must...redeem myself...she said...she was disappointed.” The poor mare looked as if the very idea broke her heart.
I patted her mane, trying to calm her down. “It’s alright, I’m sure she doesn’t expect you to do this, she never makes the girls go out on the floor after choosing them. Where is she anyway?”
“Heard...a news report on the TV...something about diamonds, she left though the window...” Sweet Kiss breathed. Wow she really was exhausted.
“Diamonds...” I mumbled. In that case it was gonna be an interesting night, but first things first. “Come on, you’re not going out tonight.” I more or less hoisted her onto my back. Being an earth pony had its pluses too, strength was one of them.
“Bu-”
“No buts, come on.” I gestured my orders to Honeysuckle who nodded, then headed back up the stairs with Sweet Kiss in tow. She smelled like the Madame, of expensive perfumes and a slight feminine odor. I felt a bit woozy it entered my nose, it was almost like a drug...Not to say it was unpleasant.
I reached the top of the stairs with some effort, Sweet Kiss’s room was the door closest to the stairs, I pressed my forehead against it, all the doors in the place opened inwards for easy earthpony access, but all I managed to do was knock my head against the expensive wood. It was locked.
“Sweet Kiss?” I asked, shaking her on my back a bit to get her attention. “Where’s the key?”
She murmured something I could work out before becoming coherent enough to answer. “Dropped it...somewhere...”
“Brilliant.” I mumbled. “Fine, you can rest in my room I guess.” I lumbered over to my door under her weight, pushing it open with my head, with a much better result. The room was still immaculate as I had left it.
I thought quickly and walked to the cabinet in the left corner of the room, a few extra blankets were folded neatly at the bottom. I grabbed them between my teeth, thankful they were clean and walked into the bathroom. With a quick movement I laid them down over the hard porcelain to make a makeshift bed. I felt a bit bad about not giving her the bed, but unless I wanted to be subjected to the Madame’s whims I’d need it tonight.
I also tried not to focus on how delightfully soft she felt on my back. Her slow breathing contrasted against my own quicker paced breaths. I gently lowered her into the blanketed tub, she looked sleepily up at me, like a filly just tucked in, except for the hooker’s dress anyway.
“T-thanks Trick...you’re always so nice...” She murmured, eyes unfocused upon anything she could see from inside my bathtub.
I felt my cheeks heat up a bit. “Oh, it’s no trouble...I mean I couldn’t have you passing out on the restaurant floor, that wouldn’t be good for business.” I chuckled.
“Still...it was nice...” she leaned up and pecked my cheek. Damnit, why did they all have to do that of all things!?
“Uh...you’re welcome.” I wasn’t sure what to do for a moment.
“You should...get back down stairs. Don’t wanna...neglect, the customers...”
My eyes widened, oh shit! She was right, I had two delightful customers awaiting downstairs. I turned to dash back onto the restaurant floor before I paused and looked back at her. “Um...are you gonna be alright?”
She was already snoring soundly. The Madame had that effect on her...choices.
I shrugged and dashed back downstairs, well it was less of a dash and more of a speedy trot, damnit these outfits weren’t made for running. I arrived back just in time to see Lace giving my customers their order, she turned to me and gave me a wink.
I loved that mare sometimes. Maybe sometime soon physically, with lots of tong- “Gah!” Sweet Kiss’s name was appropriate, it had put me in the exact wrong mood. I shook those thoughts away, tantalizing though they were, and resisted the urge to watch Lace walk away, though it was one of my favorite views of her. I smiled to the two at the table.
“Sorry about that, slight distraction, but I’m back now. Would either of you studs like a drink?”

And with that, my hooves gave in, her tail pulled me like I was weightless, her mane starting to wrap around me too, thicker strands engulfing my body, each wiggling and exploring; no part of my body left untouched. Every nook and cranny suddenly awash with touches, sensual and soft.

I’m quite sure they heard me in the kitchen. My body struggled on impulse, the sensation overload almost too much. I squirmed and moved against them. When I could finally stand, the Madame gave me the day off, not directly, I heard through Lace, who always seemed to be surprised I was alive. I kinda was too. But I got bored doing nothing on my day off, and set about cleaning up the parlor.
There was a mare in there. A mare with a purple coat and a pink streak her hair. She wasn’t one of ours. She was obviously someone who didn’t belong here. She wore glasses, and everyone seemed to walk right by her, but it was obvious to me who she was.
I walked up to her and asked. “What do you want, hero?”
She looked up at me. “The Madame.” She said simply.

Written in one day 11k words. Whew, that was ride. I might write a sequel, depending on how much interest there is. Heck if it makes the featured box I'll make a trilogy of stories.
