Death Is In The Air

Fluttershy awoke in a dark room. It looked like the first time she arrived in the dark depths of hell. A wave of sadness washed over her as she realized that she would never see them again. "But wait. They betrayed you.Don't think about them."

She thought to herself.

"Hello?" She called out. This time, she got no answer. Instead of crying, she smiled.

Suddenly, the lights flickered on, and she saw Death.

"So Fluttershy. You tried to complete the task I assigned you." Death said coldly, almost chilling her.

She expected to be hit, or for him to pull out his scythe and attack.

Either way, Fluttershy just nodded and smiled.

Death pulled his hood back, revealing his bony head.

"You remain loyal to me." Death said with a grin. "Tell me Fluttershy, do you wish to be with your sappy friends? Or do you wish to kill? Tell me my dear. Tell me your wish and I shall grant it." He said with a wicked smile.

Although he didn't portray his truthfulness last time, he did this time, which only confused Fluttershy more.

She looked at him coldly, but still smiling, and asked, "How do I know you're not lying?"

He returned the smile and replied, "Because. If I was lying I would have taken your soul right now."

Now in his hands were two objects. In the left hand was a picture of her friends, in the right hand was a butcher knife.

He saw her evaluating each item in her mind, yet noticed that her eyes lingered on the picture.

"If you want, my dear, I can show you what your situation is in Equestria."

She nodded her head, and looked into the light portal projected before her eyes. She looked around and noticed that she was in the hospital, her heart beating.

She took her eyes away from the scene and looked at Death with a questioning look, "Did you really release us at the funeral, or was it all a trick?"

"..."

"You tricked me?"

"...."

Suddenly she picked up the butcher knife and killed him, only for him to reappear behind her, but without the scythe. He also appeared to be a blue stallion. She picked up Death's scythe and put it on her back. She also looked at the photo of her friends.

Fluttershy opened up another portal and stepped inside.

"My new life before me awaits." Was her last thought.
