Fluttershy yelled, her wings stuck under a piece of ceiling that had fallen. "NO!" Pinkie yelled back, "I'M NOT LEAVING MY BEST FRIENDS BEHIND!" Rainbow Dash sighed, and turned to Twilight, Applejack, and Rarity. "Don't worry. I'll be right back, I'm just going to hold up the building, so they can make their escape." She said, turning and dashing inside. "Rainbow wait! Don't go! My magic can't even hold the building together!" Twilight called. It was too late. As soon as Rainbow Dash has gone inside, the building collapsed." The three mares stood, fear stricken. "No. Don't go!" Twilight said, running up to the fallen building, tears in her eyes. Rarity turned to face Applejack. "I'll be back, I'm going to get some nurses, fire ponies, and officer ponies." Rarity then took off. Applejack slowly walked up to Twilight. "Sugar cube, their's nothing that we can do. What's done is done. Ah'll miss them too." She said, tears in her eyes. She sat down next to Twilight, crying. "And to think," Twilight thought, "This was going to be the best day ever...." *One Hour Earlier* Twilight woke up, happy as can be. She was excited, and felt that today was going to be a great day. She got out of bed, and headed downstairs to get the mail, and noticed that Spike was gone. "Wonder where he is?" She thought, looking around. She walked outside, and noticed that Derpy was delivering mail. "Hiya Twilight!" Derpy said. "Hey Derpy!" Twilight said happily. "Here's your mail. Bye!" Derpy said, giving Twilight her mail. Twilight walked inside her house, and looked at her mail. "Bills, bills, bills, letter from Pinkie Pie, bills, bi-, wait! Letter from Pinkie Pie?" She thought. She opened up the letter and began reading. "Dear Twilight Sparkle, Hiya! How're you doing today? Well, as you know, I'm getting my own restaurant!Pinkie's Party Palooza! Today, the lovely Construction ponies have finished building it, and I'm allowed to come and see it! Meet me a Sugar Cube Corner, and once everypony else gets here, We can head over!" Twilight ran upstairs and got ready. When she headed over, she noticed Applejack on her way too. "Well, she does get up early!" Twilight also noticed Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash right behind. Once they all reached Sugar Cube Corner, they were greeted by a pink bouncing pony. "Hi everyone!" She said excitedly. "Hey Pinkie!" Twilight replied. "Ready to go?" She asked. "YEAH!" Everyone said in unison. Pinkie lead everyone outside, and in the direction of Sweet Apple Acres. "Uh, Pinkie, ah' thought you were leadin' us ta' your restaurant?" Applejack asked. "I am silly filly!" Pinkie said excitedly. After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the restaurant. "Well?" Pinkie asked, waiting at the door. "Aren't you going inside?" Finally, everypony walked inside, and all that was heard were gasps. Twilight, unlike everypony else, was surveying the walls. "Uh, guys?" Twilight called out, galloping to the door. Suddenly, the walls started to fall. A part of the ceiling fell, landing on Fluttershy's open wings. "RUN!" She called out to Pinkie, who was running over to her. "No! NO! NO!" Pinkie called out, as she realized something. She could risk her life for Fluttershy, or she could run now, to leave Fluttershy to die. "Run! Pinkie! Forget about me! JUST GO!!!" Fluttershy yelled. "NO!" Pinkie yelled back, "I'M NOT LEAVING MY BEST FRIEND BEHIND!" Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Applejack were all waiting outside. Rainbow Dash sighed, and turned to Twilight, Applejack, and Rarity. "Don't worry. I'll be right back, I'm just going to hold up the building, so they can make their escape." She was still leaning over the building, thinking about how today went wrong, Applejack still by her side. _________________________________________________________________________________________________  Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash all woke up, in the dark. "Hello?" Fluttershy called out. "Fluttershy?" "Pinkie?" "Rainbow Dash?" They all called out. They walked around calling out each others names, until they heard each other loud and clear. Suddenly, lights flickered on, and they saw each other, and gasped. Fluttershy had crushed wings, and torn ears, and half a tail. Rainbow Dash had a crushed skull, half wings, and no tail. Finally, Pinkie had metal sticking through her head, and half ears. Suddenly, they heard a voice from behind them. "Hello Girls. I'm glad you could make it..." He laughed crazily. Fluttershy looked taken aback, and tried to speak, but couldn't get anything else. "I suppose you know who I am?" He asked, showing his face. He had no flesh, and was bony. He had no eyes, and wore a black cloak, with a scythe on his back. Rainbow Dash gasped and narrowed her eyes. "Death." She said angrily. "So we meet again, my little Dashie." He said smugly. "What do you want from us?" She asked. "I just want your souls. Although, I will let you in on a little offer." He said. "Why would we do anything for you?" She asked snidely. "First, I'm gonna tell you, about how you died." He said. "But we already know how we died." Fluttershy said. "No." He said. "You think you know, but you really don't." He said, glaring at all of them. "But? How can this be?" Muttered Pinkie. After Death had explained to them, they all looked shocked, and Pinkie looked angry and sad. "So, what do you want us to do? What will we get in return?" Pinkie said, showing her anger. "Now, now, my little pony." He said laughing. "Here's what you have to do. You must not let anyone know who killed you, how you were killed, or why. If anyone finds out, and I mean anyone, you must kill them. Even if it's one of your little friends. They must die. All of them. In return? I shall grant you immortality. That's right. Look here, and tell me what you see." He said, holding up a sphere of light. Each pony took turns looking in. They all saw each other in a hospital bed, on the verge of life. "While you aren't dead yet, you will still go as ghosts. If you fail you're mission, I will kill you." He said, point to his scythe. "Anyway, about the immortality, I can make you wake up in the hospital, and I can make you princesses." He said, looking serious. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie all looked at each other, and finally, gave a nod of agreement. "All right then, it's settled." Death said. "Now go." He said. With that, he vanished in the air. ________________________________________________________________________________________________   Applejack looked devastated as she saw her friends being lifted into the ambulance. "Strongest Pony huh? Ya' couldn't even move ya' save yer' own friends life! What type of pony doesn't try ta' at least save their own friends? A fucking wuss, that's who!" She thought to herself. She headed off to Sweet Apple Acres, where she knew Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootalo would be. When she got there, she passed by Big Mac and Granny Smith, who were oblivious to what had just happened, considering the fact that they were still a good distance away from where Pinkie's Party Palooza would be. The thought just made Applejack sob again. As she approached the door, she noticed the Cutie Mark Crusaders were drawing. "Scootalo?" She said. Scootalo looked up. "Yeah?" She asked. "I need to see you for a minute." Applejack said, walking inside. Scootalo followed, pondering what she was going to be told. "Scootalo, something terrible has happened." Applejack said, trying to hold back tears. "OH NO! RAINBOW DASH ISN'T SICK IS SHE?!" Scootalo asked, getting ready to try to fly to see Rainbow Dash. "No Scootalo, calm down. It's much worse. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy were inside Pinkie's new building today. You know, Pinkie's Party Palooza?" She asked, and Scootalo nodded. "The building was falling, and Rainbow Dash ran inside to get Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie out, and then..." Applejack gulped, trying to hold back more tears that were trying to escape. "The building collapsed." Scootalo gasped, and shook her head. "no, No, NO, NO, NO!!!!" She screamed shaking her head harder now. "NO!!!!!!!" She yelled even louder. "Please," She begged, "Tell me it's just a sick joke? Please tell me it's a lie!" Applejack now shook her head, and tried to comfort her. "Ah'm afraid it's no lie. I-i'm sad too." Applejack said, letting her tears come falling out. Scootalo took in the rest of the information and ran upstairs into Apple Bloom's room. Where she goes when she gets sad. Applejack walked outside to get Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle to tell them. Once the two fillies registered the information, all three ponies just held each other, crying. Soon, Scootalo came downstairs, her eye's red. "I-it's o-okay i-if I s-stay here t-tonight r-right?" She asked, stuttering. "It sure is sugar cube. Ah' think Apple Bloom will need the company tonight." Applejack replied, point a hoof at Apple Bloom. "Sweetie Belle, would ya' like me ta' walk ya' home?" She asked. Sweetie Belle nodded her head in response, and walked her home. ________________________________________________________________________________________________  Soon the sad news spread all over PonyVille, but that didn't stop some ponies form discovering the truth of their 'accident'. "Alright girls," Rainbow Dash said looking at Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, "Today's target is Flim and Flam." She said. "How they managed to find out, we may never know." She finished. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy just nodded. Soon they gathered their weapons and headed out to kill them. "Do you know where we'll find them?" Fluttershy asked. "Yes. They are headed over to where Pinkie's restaurant was going to be." Rainbow said. They traveled over, and then got set. "Pinkie, which do you want?" Rainbow asked, pointing to both stallions. "I think that I want Flim." She said deviously, with a smile. "Alright, Flutter, you and I got Flam." Rainbow said. "OK, I'm going to go out into the Everfree Forest and call for Flim. Once he goes, you can get Flam, and I'll get Flim." Pinkie said, grabbing a voice Modifier, and a few weapons. After Pinkie thought she was out far enough, she turned on the modifier and called out to Flim, "Hey Flim! I found some rare apples out here that we can use! Can you come on over, and help me get them?" Their plan worked perfectly. It was set in motions as Flim replied, "Alright, I'll be right there!" As soon as he walked out into the field, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy headed over to Flam. They injected a needle, which put him to sleep. After all, why would you want a person to be awake when you kill them? Wouldn't to attract attention, now would we? Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash took turns beating him to death with a baseball bat. Meanwhile, Pinkie was out in the forest. Once he reached her, she smacked him in the head with a frying pan, and he fell to the ground. She laughed crazily. "No One Is Ever Mean To PINKIE PIE AND HER FRIENDS!!!!!!!!" She grabbed an knife and started stabbing him crazily. Soon she started crying, and slowing down. Seeing that she had done her job, she wiped her eyes, and put the knife in his hoof. She cleaned up her stuff, and grabbed her bags. She dashed down to the tree where she was previously hiding with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, to see them, still working on Flam. "Need some help?" She asked politely. "Naw, it's ok, were almost done!" Fluttershy said. After they were done with their 'jobs' they checked on their bodies at the hospital, to see if Death was keeping his part of the deal. They saw that their heart-beat had gotten better, and that Princess Celestia was there. "Hey, I'll get close to see what she's whispering." Pinkie Pie said. She slowly approached her, and sure enough she heard, "Oh please my little ponies. Come back. I'll do anything, I'll even make you princesses!" Pinkie Pie dashed back to tell them. "This will be great!" She thought excitedly. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rarity woke up to the smell of food cooking. "Either Sweetie Belle is cooking, or Mom and Dad have come for a visit.." She thought to herself. For a moment, she had forgotten what had happened. Then, it hit her, like a thief in the in the night. She felt the urge to cry, but she knew she had to stay calm. She had to stay strong for Sweetie Belle. She headed downstairs, to be greeted by a delicious smell. Then she saw Sweetie Belle cooking something. "Sweetie Belle, how many tim-" She was cut off by the most amazing site she saw. "Um what were you going to say?" She asked confused. Rarity just pointed at the new Cutie Mark that had appeared on her flank. Sweetie Belle jumped up and down in excitement. Rarity then looked to see what Sweetie Belle was cooking. "Hmm." She muttered looking. She saw some eggs and bacon. "Sweetie, where did you learn to do this?" Rarity asked, still surprised. "Oh, well Cherilee was teaching us yesterday, and then I asked Pinkie for some cooking lessons!" She said. Sweetie Belle was told about what had happened to Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, but she had always claimed to see them walking out-and-about instead of the hospital. Rarity tried to hold back tears at the mention of her friend's name. "Well, I'm going to visit Pinkie, Rainbow, and Fluttershy today. Have fun with your friends!" Rarity called, as she walked to the door. When she was halfway to the hospital, she was greeted by Twilight, who also happened to be going to the hospital to see them. "You know..." Twilight said, sounding like she was lost in thought, "I think that there's more that happened, that our minds were letting on during the situation..." "Whatever do you mean?" Rarity asked, sounding shocked that Twilight would say that. "Well, for starters, walls don't just fall like that. Second, why would the construction ponies just lie to Pinkie like that?" Twilight asked, perplexed. "Yes, indeed, those do sound strange, but i-" Rarity was then cut off. "But nothing! I believe that this was an attempted murder! I also hope that Pinkie and the other girls wake up soon." Twilight said sadly. When they arrived at the hospital, visiting hours were almost over. Rarity walked in first, and went over to Rainbow Dash's bed. "Rainbow Dash, I'm so sorry for everything I've ever done to you. I'll do anything! Anything! Just come back to us again!" She begged. Then she walked over to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy dear, I promise that I'll take care of your bunny, Angel." Finally, she walked over to Pinkie. "Pinkie, I'm so sorry. I hope you're having the best party of your life where ever you are!" After that, she left. Rarity was halfway home when she tripped over something, that looked like a book. She opened the first page and was shocked at what she read. Plans To Ruin Pinkie's Party Palooza! By: Flim and Flam She closed the book, and looked left and right. She then quickly hid it in her saddle bag and took off towards home. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Fluttershy left her bodies' hospital bed. Upon getting up, she noticed Rarity and Twilight walking in, so she woke up the other girls so they could hear everything. Twilight walked up to Fluttershy and said, "Hey Flutter, I wish you could hear me. I hope you live. I'd hate having to throw all three of my best friends a funeral. If you are having an out of body experience, that's cool, heh, Anyway, if you are, please show me a sign. I would like to know if you want me to take care of angel. Thanks." Then Twilight walked over to Rainbow Dash, but she didn't stick around to listen. Fluttershy bolted out the door to go after Rarity. Along the way, she noticed that Rarity had picked up a book. "Heh, it's not like it could have anything to do what happened. Like hell Flim and Flam would make a fucking book explaining what they were planning." She thought. Fluttershy followed her home, and headed towards Sweetie Belle's room. Fluttershy went to Sweetie Belle's room because, strangely, Sweetie Belle could see ghosts. "At least we have somepony to talk to while were floating around, you know, besides just each other.." She thought to herself. Sweetie Belle opened the door, hoping to see Rarity, or at least Pinkie Pie. She had tons of fun with Pinkie yesterday. "Oh Fluttershy! Come on in! I don't want Rarity thinking that I've lost my mind." Sweetie Belle said letting Fluttershy in. "Hey Sweetie! I've been so excited to see you!" She said. "Well, actually, you can't stay long..." Sweetie said, her expression turning sleepy. "Oh. Well, I'll just go now. I'll be upstairs if you need me. Just knock twice on Rarity's door. She can't see me, so she won't know what you mean if you say I'm up there." She said. Fluttershy then went upstairs to see the book that Rarity had suddenly taken interest in. When she entered the room, she found Rarity asleep, and her saddle bags on the floor. She dug around in the bag until she found it. The cover was blank. "Well that's strange..why would a book have a blank cover?" She thought to herself. She opened the book, and looked at the first page. She suddenly turned pale. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Twilight was waken up the next morning, by a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" She thought. She walked downstairs and saw Rarity there, with her saddlebags. She looked awfully worried. "Rarity what's -" Twilight was cut off as Rarity pushed her way inside. She sat down on the couch, and pulled out a book. "Twilight, you're right." Rarity said. "Rarity what's thi-" She was cut off again by Rarity, who just handed her a book. Twilight took it and opened it up. What she saw made her gasp. She turned the page reading more and more. This is what the Flim Flam brothers used as a diary.... "Day 56, Flim writing here! Today we heard that Pinkie Pie's restaurant got finished today. Time to destroy that wannabe pony's DREAMS! We were supposed to be where that hag is today! We plan to make it fall apart. How you may ask? We are going to bind the walls to stop the wretched Princess Twilight Sparkle from catching the walls. Then, the entire building will collapse! Twilight was horrified at what she had just read. "Rarity, how much of this have you read?" Rarity sighed and said, "All of it." Twilight then asked, "When was the last time you even saw Flim and Flam?" Rarity just shook her head, and said, "I haven't seen them since last week when they dropped off the fabric at the Threads, Needles, and More Store." Suddenly, she got a call from the hospital. "Hello. It's Nurse Redheart, calling from the Ponyville Central Hospital." "Hello. Twilight is here. Why are you calling?" Twilight asked confused. "It's about your friends Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie. I'm afraid that They've passed on..." Twilight felt like the world around her had just exploded. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Rainbow Dash looked at Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, a grim look on her face. Fluttershy looked expectant at her, ready for their next target. Finally Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and tried to hold back tears. "Our next targets are Twilight and Rarity...." Rainbow Dash took a seat. Pinkie Pie also sat down, taking in what she had just heard. Fluttershy's face stayed the same, but a little sad, as if she had known, but had forgotten at the moment. "What are we gonna do?" She asked, wiping away her tears. Fluttershy just shrugged her shoulders, and Pinkie Pie's hair deflated. "Remember what Death said? If we are to be Princesses, then we must kill whoever knows, or is trying to find out. I'm not letting that get in my way." Fluttershy said. Rainbow Dash then walked over and slapped her. "THEY ARE OUR FRIENDS!" Rainbow yelled. Then, Death appeared. "OK ladies. Tell me. Are you going to be princesses, or am I going to slay you?" He asked, shining his scythe. Fluttershy stepped forward. "Take our souls now. Then, let us go on the funeral day, and we'll kill our targets then. That way no one notices when we kill them...." Then she started to laugh. "That's more like it." Death laughed. "I'll come back in an hour for you, so you can enjoy your last hours before the funeral." Then, Death disappeared. Rainbow Dash walked over and repeatedly slapped Fluttershy. It was the only thing she could think of at the moment. Without thinking, her mouth suddenly opened, and she was yelling at her, "YOU BITCH! DO YOU EVEN FUCKING REALIZE WHAT YOU JUST DID?! NOW WE HAVE TO KILL OUR FUCKING FRIEND, ALL BECAUSE YOU WANNA BE A PRINCESS SO GODDAMN BAD!!" Tears came to her eyes, and she sat down next to Pinkie for refuge. Fluttershy stood still. Shocked at Rainbow Dash. "You bastard." Was all that Pinkie had to say to Fluttershy. An hour later, Death came, just like he said he would. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Applejack woke up feeling bad. "Perfect mood for today.." She thought grimly. Today was the day of Pinkie Pie's, Rainbow Dash's, and Fluttershy's funeral. Little did she know, they would make a guest appearance. After she got up, she and her family met up with Rarity and Twilight along the way. When they finally reached the Graveyard, they saw Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were already there, with three cheerful looking coffins, which only made things worse. Pinkie Pie had a pink coffin with balloons on it, Rainbow Dash had a sunny, blue sky, with her cutie mark, and Fluttershy had a cream coffin with her cutie mark. Inside, lay their bodies. Only friends and family of the three ponies were there. "It sure is ah' shame that Spike couldn't be here ta day." She thought. Applejack took a seat next to Twilight and Rarity, Scootalo next to Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom. Princess Celestia went first, then Luna went, and then It was Twilight's turn. She was going to give a little speech, and then reveal the true cause of their death. "Dear Friends and Family of, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. We are gathered here for this funeral. But let's not focus on the bad side. Let's focus on the future, and the future only. If there's one thing, it's that I know that we will see them again one day!" Twilight then shuffled her cards and was about to talk about the cause of their death, when she fell to the ground. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Rarity sat, paralyzed in fear of what had just happened. Then, she saw Fluttershy standing over her, about to strike, and Rainbow Dash and Pinkie trying to stop her. Everypony else seemed to see it, including Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. Suddenly, everyone had heard Death's laughter echo around them. Everyone was paralyzed, and the only thing Rarity could muster out was "Death" and then the laughter stopped and then Fluttershy had stopped trying to kill Twilight. She saw Rarity and started to run towards her with the knife, but was stopped by Celestia's magic. "Luna! Watch over those two!" Celestia shouted, as she walked over to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy. I, In all of my years, have never seen this. Why have you suddenly tried to do this?" Fluttershy had tried to come up with an excuse for the moment, when she suddenly died in Celestia's grasp. Some ponies say that Death took her soul, to save his evil secret, and others say that she died on her own will. What do you think happened? //-------------------------------------------------------// Epilouge //-------------------------------------------------------// Epilouge Fluttershy awoke in a dark room. It looked like the first time she arrived in the dark depths of hell. A wave of sadness washed over her as she realized that she would never see them again. "But wait. They betrayed you.Don't think about them." She thought to herself. "Hello?" She called out. This time, she got no answer. Instead of crying, she smiled. Suddenly, the lights flickered on, and she saw Death. "So Fluttershy. You tried to complete the task I assigned you." Death said coldly, almost chilling her. She expected to be hit, or for him to pull out his scythe and attack. Either way, Fluttershy just nodded and smiled. Death pulled his hood back, revealing his bony head. "You remain loyal to me." Death said with a grin. "Tell me Fluttershy, do you wish to be with your sappy friends? Or do you wish to kill? Tell me my dear. Tell me your wish and I shall grant it." He said with a wicked smile. Although he didn't portray his truthfulness last time, he did this time, which only confused Fluttershy more. She looked at him coldly, but still smiling, and asked, "How do I know you're not lying?" He returned the smile and replied, "Because. If I was lying I would have taken your soul right now." Now in his hands were two objects. In the left hand was a picture of her friends, in the right hand was a butcher knife. He saw her evaluating each item in her mind, yet noticed that her eyes lingered on the picture. "If you want, my dear, I can show you what your situation is in Equestria." She nodded her head, and looked into the light portal projected before her eyes. She looked around and noticed that she was in the hospital, her heart beating. She took her eyes away from the scene and looked at Death with a questioning look, "Did you really release us at the funeral, or was it all a trick?" "..." "You tricked me?" "...." Suddenly she picked up the butcher knife and killed him, only for him to reappear behind her, but without the scythe. He also appeared to be a blue stallion. She picked up Death's scythe and put it on her back. She also looked at the photo of her friends. Fluttershy opened up another portal and stepped inside. "My new life before me awaits." Was her last thought.
