What is wrong with ponyville nowdays?

It’s been a long day for Scoots; she’s been crusading all day with her best friends and then later, she flew with the one and only Rainbow Dash... or at least she tried to. Scoot already was supposed to be home an hour ago, but instead of being there, she was two streets away.
“H-help me...” a familiar voice says, barely hearable.
Scoot looks around, however she didn't see anything or hears the voice again, so she ignores it and kept moving, assuming she was just hearing things.
Finally Scootaloo gets home; she opens the door and hopes that her parents weren’t going to be mad at her.
“Mom? Dad? Sorry that I got home this late...B-but I can explain.”
No response.
“Anypony home?” Scootaloo asks a bit louder than before.
No response.
Scootaloo walks around her house for a little bit and notices a note on a table. She picks up the note and it says:
“Dear Scooty-Wooty
We aren’t going to be here for at least 3 days there.
We are sorry that this was so unexpected and that we couldn’t have you with us.
-Mom and dad”
Scootaloo wonders where they were going and why they had to leave; she is more important than whatever that is, right?
And what does at least 3 days mean? How is she going to take care of herself?
Suddenly, a scream is heard. Scootaloo didn’t expect it and jumps from the loud noise.
“What the hay was that?!” Scootaloo asks herself.
Scootaloo now is sure that she wasn’t just hearing things; something happened outside and thinks to herself: The voice I heard on the street has to be the pony that is screaming right now!
She looks out of the window in case there was any danger out there, but there doesn’t seem to be anything out there. Since there was nothing, she quickly runs outside in the hopes to find out what happened.
“H-hello? Anypony out there?” Scootaloo asks again, slightly nervous.
No response
The lack of a response makes Scootaloo more anxious; she is sure somepony is out there and starts to wonder if this all is just a trap to get her outside so bad ponies can jump on her. Even though she had all these scary thought she decides to try again.
“I-I am here to help d-don’t worry!”
Still no response; Scootaloo is getting slightly annoyed and is starting to get more certain that this all is a trap, but she wants to try one more time, just in case it isn’t a trap.
“Come on! I want to help you! You don’t have to be afraid of me.”
Again, there is no response; Scootaloo starts to walk back to her house.
“S-Scootaloo? H-help me... P-please… help me.” says the same voice Scootaloo heard on the streets not that long ago.
She stops and turns around, still not sure if it’s a trap or not.
“W-where are you?” Scootaloo asks, not even noticing that the voice knew her name.
“F-follow my voice.”
She did as the voice said and walks in the direction of that familiar voice A few seconds later she saw a pony on the ground; it looks like the pony is injured, but it’s hard to tell since it’s extremely dark.
“Don’t worry. I am here to help you whoever you are.” Scootaloo says being slightly less nervous since she is sure it’s not a trap.
Scootaloo takes a few steps closer and is shocked when she gets a good look at the pony.
“N-no way...I-it can’t be you?! I-is it really you?! Oh gosh...Out of everypony why did it have to be you?”— Rainbow Dash, Yesterday 3:02
