Chapter 3

Ordina was resting her head on her hand when she heard a knock on the throne room doors.  She sat up in the golden throne, Celestia and Luna occupying the other two.  Ordina nodded at the two guards to open the door.

Once the doors were open, and five other mares entered a mare, a teenage purple dragon followed behind them.  At the first glance, the six new visitors gasped at her.  She only chuckled.

"This is what I get for being gone four millennia, show your wings once and everyone gasps in surprised."  Celestia and Luna joined her with a laugh, Twilight even gave a small laugh.  Ordina stood up.  As she did, the six bowed.

"Rise, ponies." she said, her voice gentle.  The six rose and looked at her confused.   "I may look like a princess but I have yet to be crowned.  Again."  She giggled as she stepped down and approached the six.

"My name is Ordina Xeriox.  Former princess of Order and Chaos and mother of Discord."  At the last part she heard the yellow Pegasus give a small eep.  Ordina smiled.  Her smiled faded as she began to start her story.

"I have no doubt that saw the force field around Canterlot.  The reason for this is that sometime tomorrow, another entity of chaos and a group of changelings will attempt to invade us."  She let the news set in as she heard numerous gasps and muttering.   A cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane just crossed her arms.

"So?  We can defeat Discord easily and changelings are easy to take care of.  What's the problem."  Ordina sighed and walked over to the window.  She loomed outside at the blue dome.

"Discord has one hundredth of my power.  If I'm correct, this other entity may as well BE me."  The room was filled with dead silence.  "Trying to defeat him would be trying to defeat a very pissed off me.  Ask Tia and Lulu, it's scary when I'm pissed."

"What do we do then?" asked Twilight.  Ordina looked off into the distance, feeling a surge of magical energy from Discord.

"Careful, my child." she muttered to herself before turning back to them, her face dead serious.

"You six will find Chrysalis and dispell the mind control spell on her.  Celestia and Luna will keep the castle held down.  As for me,"  She looked off torwards the edge of the city.  She sighed.  "I will wipe that entity off the face of the earth."  Everyone stared at her.  Celestia got up and walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Sister you can't!  You'll kill yourself doing so!"  Ordina shook her head and embraced Celestia.

"I know."  A tear rolled down her face.  "For him."  Celestia looked at her confused.

          "Who, sister?"

"Discord.  He-I felt the chaos that runs through him completely disappear."

"He's just probably somewhere where you-"

"He's dead, Tia!" she yelled, tears running down her face.  "I could sense him even if he was on the Damn sun!  He's dead.   My only son is dead!"  She collapsed to the ground in tears.  The sight of the goddess of order and chaos was enough to prove to Celestia that he was actually gone.  She stroked Ordinas hair as she held her in her arms.

"I think it's about time you found your elements and prepare for tomorrow.  Ordy is going to need awhile to herself.  The six nodded and left.  "You too, Twilight."

        "Are you sure,"

"Yes."  Twilight nodded and followed her friends, leaving the three ancient alicorns alone.

"I can't believe he's gone." said Ordina, still sobbing.  "I always enjoyed sitting down and feeling his there, even when wasn't in the room.  To suddenly feel that taken away....I shouldn't have sent him."  She buried her head into Celestia's chest.  Celestia stroked here hair.

"He was always a close friend to us, too, Ordy.  He was what kept us from destroying the castle in pure boredom."  Ordina chuckled a bit.  "You will not mourn him alone.  But please, don't give up.  We've only just got back together, we don't need to lose our sister as well."  Celestia brought her into a tight embrace.  "We love you, Ordy"

Ordinary slowly opened her eyes.  She was in a large room fit for Celestia.  She turned torwards the window and saw Celestia lowering the sun.  The magical aura around her shone brightly, adding to the brilliant light casted from the setting sun.

Ordina sat up in the bed and watched the sun descend.  She smiled.  Seeing the sun and moon rise and fall always reminded her of the two sisters.  It was nice to watch it for herself after so long.  Once the sun had disappeared beyond the horizon, Celestia gently landed back on the balcony.

"I missed watching you do that."  Celestia jumped and turned around, obviously shocked.  Ordinary giggled.  "The rising of the sun and moon, the presence of Discord, and the memories of years gone by.  They kept me going and here I am, watching you lower the sun like I used to forever ago."  She sighed, a smile appearing on her face.  "It hurts that he is gone, but I still have you two.  That's all I need."  Celestia smiled at her and joined her on the edge of the bed.

"We are always here for you, sister.  Remember that.  Yes, mother is gone, but we are still sisters even if there is no legal document saying so."  Celestia wrapped an arm and wing around her and brought her close.  "And we will always love you."  Ordinary smiled, puzzling her head into Celesta's chest.

"I will always love you, too."  She brought Celestia in a embrace and watched the streaks of yellow, orange, and purple fade away to make way for the dark sky.  It was a beautiful sight.  They soon found themselves falling asleep in each others arms, not caring what tomorrow had to bring.
