//-------------------------------------------------------// Forgotten Monarch -by Dragon Genesis- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A long lost mare //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1     Ordina sat up in bed and stretched her wings.  She heard several joints pop as they stretched.  'I need to use my wings more.' she thought, shaking them out a bit.      'Staying under that illusion spell doing nothing can't be good for them.'  She stroked her right wing with her hand, admiring her beautiful, cyan wings.      She yawned as she walked into the motel room's bathroom.  The bathroom was small and didn't have much to it.  Sink, mirror, toilet, shower, all cramped together in the small space.      She sighed as she took off her night dress and walked into the shower.  She turned on the warm water and stood there, letting the water fall onto her deep red and white hair.  Her tail layed almost on top of the drain, threatening to clog it with her hair.      She squirted shampoo into her hand and rubbed it into her mane and fur.  She rubbed in the shampoo before letting it wash into the drain.      She grabbed the towel off the toilet and dried off her body, taking care when drying her wings and horn.  Once finished, she wrapped the towel around her body and walked into the main room.  She grabbed a simple pair of jeans and shirt.  She had to admit, common cloths are a lot better than the dresses they make royalty wear.      She picked the paper up from under the door and read the front page, musing herself with the timing of events as she read.      'Princess Twilight Sparkle celebrates one decade of rule with Celestia and Luna' read the paper.  Out of all the things that could be happening, this had to happen.       'Happy decade of rule, Twilight.  It will be very memorable celebration.'  She smiled to herself before throwing the paper and other belongings into her backpack.     She sighed as she put the illusion spell on her wings, making them invisible to everyone, and walked out of the door.  She returned the key to the manager and looked up the road.       About three miles away stood the city of Canterlot.  Capital of Equestria and home to the three princesses.  Ordina smiled to herself before walking down the road to Canterlot. _________________________________________________________________________ Ordina stood in the cobblestone street in front of the castle.  It always amazed her how large the castle has gotten over the years.  She was used to walking around their old one in the evrfree before that was destroyed.  She only been here twice before.  Once for the royal wedding, a little bit more for the fact that the changelings were making an appearance, and once for Twilight's rise to the throne.       She looked at the castle and shook her head.  It was heavily guarded, expected of course, and was pretty much a maze to anyone who hasn't walked through its halls everyday.       'The question is how the hay am I going to get in let alone find Celestia and Luna?'  She sighed and walked up to the gates.  She didn't want to do it but had no choice.      She was blocked by two guards.  Before either one could say anything, she placed her hands on their faces and whispered' Sleep' causing them to fall onto the ground.  She continued to walk through the gates and into the halls.      She tried to think back to where she remembered places were and where Celestia could possibly be.   In here wanderings, she made it to the third floor and was close to a room where she heard multiple shouts.  Outside of the room she saw four gaurds.         'Shouting, guards.  I'm here alright.'       She was about to continue forward when someone tapped her shoulder.  She turned around, preparing an cover story, when she saw Princess Luna.  The princess looked disappointed as she beheld her.      "I'm sorry, I thought you were someone" Before she could finish, Ordina grabbed Luna's shoulder and smiled, a tear in her eye.      "Lulu, you have no idea how long I waited to see you again."  Luna looked at her confused.  Ordina smiled and dropped the illusion spell.  As she did, she spread out her wings in either direction.  Luna looked at her for a second.     "Who is your mother?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.  Ordina knew she should be offended but couldn't blame her for the precautions.  She smiled and grabbed Luna's shoulder.      "My foster mother is Faust."  Luna broke out into a huge grin and bear hugged her.  Ordina struggled to breathe in the alicorn's strong grip.      "OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!  ORDY!  I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!  TIA AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEWD BUT YOURE NOT AND HER YOU ARE!"  Luna was swinging her around and she could tell the two inside the room next to them stopped yelling.       "Luna, I thought I told you not to use"  Luna let go of Ordina, causing her to fall to the ground gasping for air.  She turned to see Celestia staring at her.  "O-ordy?"       "The one and"  Before she could finish, Celestia tackled her into a bear hug, closing off her supply of air.  Again.      "Tia, I meant it when I said one and only so please don't crush me."  Celestia gave a sheepish grin and let go of her.        "I'm sorry, Ordy but it's been four millennia, I thought you dead!"  Ordina hugged her, pulling her close.      "You can't kill me that easily, Tia."  Celestia returned the hug.       "Can someone kindly explain who this is and why you say you haven't seen each other in four thousand years?"  Ordina looked past Celestia's shoulder and saw a lavender alicorn.  Her hair of multiple shades of purple waving in its own wind, much like Celetia and Luna's.  Ordina released herself from Celestia.       "Well, they haven't seen me for four thousand years and my name is Princess Ordina Xeriox.  Former princess of Order and Chaos."  She offered her hand to Twilight.  "And you're Princess Twilight Sparkle.  Celestia's best student and bearer of the element of magic."  Twilight stared at heroin awe.  Ordina giggled and placed a hand on her shoulder.  "I did keep up the past four millennia."       "Now I heard a certain alicorn was back."  She turned around and saw Discord walking down the hallway, hands behind his back.        "And I heard a certain someone got frozen in stone, twice." she said, scolding him.        "You should really take better care of your children, mother.  It would be a shame if something bad happened."  Ordina just shook her head.       "Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Discord call you mother?" asked Luna, she was looking back and forth between the two.      "Did you think he popped out of nowhere?  I needed someone to contradict my order with chaos.  So I created Discord.  Just like another child, I had to give birth to him.  I raised him till he was ready and sent him on his way."  Luna shook her head.       "Well, didn't see THAT coming.  I think it's good to have someone more than Fluttershy keep an eye on him." said Twilight.        "If I may ask, why did you come back?" asked Celestia, raising an eyebrow.   Ordina signed.      "To warn you." //-------------------------------------------------------// Meet the family! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2     "Warn us? About what, sister?" asked Celestia, cocking her head.      "Tia, you know full well we are not sisters anymore.  For one, I left out of nowhere and two, mother is gone.  When she passed, so did my rights of calling you family and I was once again an orphan.  As for the warning, I fear someone may be preparing to attack us."       "Do you have an idea of who?" asked Luna.  Ordina nodded.         "Well, we all know Chrysalis, queen of the changelings, invaded Canterlot a few years, I have some news about that but will wait, but is currently working with Sombra and another entity I'm not sure of."  Celestia shook her head as the others stared in shock.         "So she seeks revenge on us." said Celestia, sighing.  "And here I thought of signing a peace treaty with them."          "Well, that is possible if we don't kill her and free her but that won't be easy."  Celestia looked at her confused, not getting what she was saying.         "I thought she was working with them yet we have to save her?  Sorry if I'm not following."  Ordina only sighed and shook her head.         'One of the most powerful alicorns next to myself and she can't even understand what I'm implying.  Oh have the years of peace taken their toll, Tia'  Ordina looked up at Celestia.        "Think, Tia.  You want to control someone but they won't follow you.  What do you do to get your full control over them next to threats."  Celestia's eyes widened as she finally got it.       "They didn't!"         "They did."         "This is bad."  Celestia startes to pace back and forth.  Luna eyed her.         "What is it, Tia?" asked Luna, trying to understand.  Celestia looked over at her sister.          "103rd birthday."  Luna gasped and joined her sister in pacing.         "Alright, this is really bad."  Twilight stared at the two sisters and looked at Ordina for answers.         "On my 103rd birthday I got a bit greedy and created the mind control spell to get what I wanted."  Twilight stared at her in horror.  Ordina raised her hands.  "Hey, in my defence it was purely done under the influence of a bottle of Jack Daniel's." she said, trying to defend herself.       "Two bottles, actually." added Celestia.  Ordina glared at her.        "I'm not sure that's helping, Tia."  Celestia giggled.         "I know it's not, I just wanted to mess with you after four thousand years of not getting to."  Celestia smiled, causing Ordina to laugh.  She had to admit, she missed the humor of two sisters.  Discord gave a small cough, reminding them he was there.       "If we can get back to the problem at hand, mother."  Ordina looked at the floor and scratched the back of her head.  She completely forgot what they were talking about.       "Yes, sorry.  Anyways, they plan on taking over both us and the crystal empire.  The problem is that while it's easy to take on Sombra and whatever changelings he has with him, we don't know much about this entity except..."  Ordina trailed off and bit her lip.  Celestia walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.      "Except what, Ordy?" she asked, looking her in the eyes.  Ordina sighed.         "Except that he's a lord of chaos."  Gasps filled the room and glares thrown torwards Discord.  Ordina walked in front of him, blocking off whatever they might try to do to him before she finished.  "I didn't say it was him!"  The others looked at her with confusion.      "Well, there is only one lord of chaos, I don't see how there could be another!" said Luna, pointing at Discord.         "Think, Luna.  If I can give birth to chaos with a spell, who says someone else can't?  Then there's the energy fallout from where it was preformed.  The fall out could still be active and strong enough to create another.  All I know is that there is another and it's not Discord."  Celestia sat down and started to rub the area around her horn, trying to rid herself of a headache.         "Alright, so Sombra and this other lord of chaos are using Chrysalis to invade and control the crystal empire and Equstria.  How do exactly know all this?"  Ordina just shook her head.         "Tia, I'm surprised.  Have you forgotten I represent order and chaos?  I can tell when something chaotic is about to take place.  Thus, the heads up and knowing of this other lord of chaos."         "I still don't get how you know they are controlling Chrysalis, and in turn, her changelings.  How exactly do you know this?" asked Luna.  Ordina laughed.       "Oh that's easy, I spent three years recovering in their hive in the badlands.  Awful place.  Wouldn't hurt to invite them to Equestria once this is over."  Everyone stared at her.  "What?  I had an interesting four millennia."          "Anyways, how do we stop it?" asked Twilight.          "Oh, that's easy.  Warn the crystal empire, set up a field around Canterlot, and prepare for war."  Everyone stared at her straight forward thinking.  "Oh, and get the other elements."  Celestia walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.        "Who are you and what have you done with Ordy?"  Ordina placed a hand on Celestia's shoulder.          "People change over four thousand years.  I may not have the same crazy ideas as before but I am me."  Celestia brought her into an embrace.         "And I'm thankful for that.  I missed you greatly, Ordy, and I'm glad that you're here."          "I'm glad to see you again too, Tia."             "Hey, I missed you, too!" said Luna.  Ordina walked over to her and hugged her.             "And I you."             "Don't forget me, mother!" yelled Discord, jumping onto her back and embracing.  Due to the sudden weight, her legs gave out and the three of them sprawled out on the floor.  Celestia giggled as she beheld the three of them.         "Discord, as much as your mother loves you, she would love you more if you didn't crush her and Luna."  Discord gave a sheepish smile as he lifted hinself off her.  "And I missed you too." she said with a smile.  She turned back to the three alicorns.         "Alright, now to get to work.  Twilight, as I said before, I need you to send a message warning your brother and gather the other elements here, quickly.  Teleport them if need be."  Twilight nodded and disappeared.  Ordina turned to Luna.         "Luna, you can gather the guards while Celestia adresses the public."  Luna nodded and walked out the door.          "What about you?" asked Celestia, raising an eyebrow at her.         "I need to raise the field.  Now go, you need to get your face on tv."  Ordina pushed her playfully.  Celestia rolled her eyes as she walked out the door.  Once the door was closed, she turned to Discord.        "And what of me?" he asked.         "Find this entity and find out as much as you can about him.  Careful, I don't need to bury my son."  Discord bowed.        "Of course mother.  But burying me in the sand would be nice."  With that he disappeared.  She pondered his last statement but pushed it away, he was being Discord.         She walked out the door and saw two Royal Gaurds.  Upon seeing her, the two bowed to her.  She looked dumbstruck at the two guards.         "Princess Celestia told us to escort you to the throne room and guard you, Miss Xeriox."  Ordina laughed, causing the two to look at her.        "Sorry, but it's been awhile since I was called miss and longer since someone used my actual name."  She waved a hand torwards the hall.  "Lead the way, good sirs."  The guards bowed again and led the way down the hall.         'Ponies bowing to me and calling me miss, well I guess I'm officially back into the mix of royalty.'  She gave a small laugh too quiet for the guards to hear.  It was an amusing thought.       She loomed at the golden throne in the back of the room.  A dark blue and dark purple thrones sat on either side.  She turned torwards the two guards.          "All three rule in throne room?" she asked, finding it hard to believe they all ruled there.          "No, ma'am.  This is the Solar Court.  Luna rules in the Lunar Court and Twilight in the Dusk Court.  I believe the princess mumbled something about adding another for you."  Ordina laughed at this.          "The Court of Order.  That hasn't been built since the castle in the evrfree.  Why are all three thrones here?" she asked, walking torwards the golden throne of Celestia.         There was a large morning meeting earlier.   Celestia and Twilight were arguing about in the library, I'm sure you heard."  Ordina giggled, remembering the shouts she heard from the hallway.       She sat down on the golden throne.  She layed back and closed her eyes.          "Want to know a story?  This very throne was used as our personal play ground when mother was not in the throne room.  When we were kids, she would sit in the throne with the three of us and sing and tell stories."  A smile crossed her face.  "It would be interesting to see one of our children on this throne.  I know Celestia and Luna have not found a other half but they should think about it."  She opened her eyes to see the guards shifting uneasily and Celestia and Luna staring at her in the doorway.  "You should get children."        She ducked as she dodged a pillow that appeared out of nowhere.  She laughed as she looked at the two blushing sisters.        "Just saying."  She gave a laughed as Celestia and Luna got redder.          "Shouldn't you be raising a field right now?" said Celestia.  Ordina facepalmed, she forgot to put up a field to protect them from on coming attacks.        She sat back in the golden chair and focused on putting together the spell.  She had to word on account of changelings, Sombra, and this other entity.  Once the long, complicated spell was finished, casted it.  Out of the windows, the entire city was surrounded by a blue dome.  The field would have proven difficult for any unicorn but was simple to the only alicorn that could turn the moon into cheese if wanted.  Discord even failed to cause that much trouble and chaos.  Perks to being the goddess of Order and Chaos.       Once finished she brought her head down and opened her eyes, her face serious.         "Now we wait." //-------------------------------------------------------// Declarations of war //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3          Ordina was resting her head on her hand when she heard a knock on the throne room doors.  She sat up in the golden throne, Celestia and Luna occupying the other two.  Ordina nodded at the two guards to open the door.           Once the doors were open, and five other mares entered a mare, a teenage purple dragon followed behind them.  At the first glance, the six new visitors gasped at her.  She only chuckled.        "This is what I get for being gone four millennia, show your wings once and everyone gasps in surprised."  Celestia and Luna joined her with a laugh, Twilight even gave a small laugh.  Ordina stood up.  As she did, the six bowed.           "Rise, ponies." she said, her voice gentle.  The six rose and looked at her confused.   "I may look like a princess but I have yet to be crowned.  Again."  She giggled as she stepped down and approached the six.         "My name is Ordina Xeriox.  Former princess of Order and Chaos and mother of Discord."  At the last part she heard the yellow Pegasus give a small eep.  Ordina smiled.  Her smiled faded as she began to start her story.         "I have no doubt that saw the force field around Canterlot.  The reason for this is that sometime tomorrow, another entity of chaos and a group of changelings will attempt to invade us."  She let the news set in as she heard numerous gasps and muttering.   A cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane just crossed her arms.        "So?  We can defeat Discord easily and changelings are easy to take care of.  What's the problem."  Ordina sighed and walked over to the window.  She loomed outside at the blue dome.        "Discord has one hundredth of my power.  If I'm correct, this other entity may as well BE me."  The room was filled with dead silence.  "Trying to defeat him would be trying to defeat a very pissed off me.  Ask Tia and Lulu, it's scary when I'm pissed."         "What do we do then?" asked Twilight.  Ordina looked off into the distance, feeling a surge of magical energy from Discord.        "Careful, my child." she muttered to herself before turning back to them, her face dead serious.        "You six will find Chrysalis and dispell the mind control spell on her.  Celestia and Luna will keep the castle held down.  As for me,"  She looked off torwards the edge of the city.  She sighed.  "I will wipe that entity off the face of the earth."  Everyone stared at her.  Celestia got up and walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.        "Sister you can't!  You'll kill yourself doing so!"  Ordina shook her head and embraced Celestia.          "I know."  A tear rolled down her face.  "For him."  Celestia looked at her confused.           "Who, sister?"       "Discord.  He-I felt the chaos that runs through him completely disappear."          "He's just probably somewhere where you-"          "He's dead, Tia!" she yelled, tears running down her face.  "I could sense him even if he was on the Damn sun!  He's dead.   My only son is dead!"  She collapsed to the ground in tears.  The sight of the goddess of order and chaos was enough to prove to Celestia that he was actually gone.  She stroked Ordinas hair as she held her in her arms.        "I think it's about time you found your elements and prepare for tomorrow.  Ordy is going to need awhile to herself.  The six nodded and left.  "You too, Twilight."         "Are you sure,"        "Yes."  Twilight nodded and followed her friends, leaving the three ancient alicorns alone.         "I can't believe he's gone." said Ordina, still sobbing.  "I always enjoyed sitting down and feeling his there, even when wasn't in the room.  To suddenly feel that taken away....I shouldn't have sent him."  She buried her head into Celestia's chest.  Celestia stroked here hair.         "He was always a close friend to us, too, Ordy.  He was what kept us from destroying the castle in pure boredom."  Ordina chuckled a bit.  "You will not mourn him alone.  But please, don't give up.  We've only just got back together, we don't need to lose our sister as well."  Celestia brought her into a tight embrace.  "We love you, Ordy" ________________________________________________________________          Ordinary slowly opened her eyes.  She was in a large room fit for Celestia.  She turned torwards the window and saw Celestia lowering the sun.  The magical aura around her shone brightly, adding to the brilliant light casted from the setting sun.         Ordina sat up in the bed and watched the sun descend.  She smiled.  Seeing the sun and moon rise and fall always reminded her of the two sisters.  It was nice to watch it for herself after so long.  Once the sun had disappeared beyond the horizon, Celestia gently landed back on the balcony.         "I missed watching you do that."  Celestia jumped and turned around, obviously shocked.  Ordinary giggled.  "The rising of the sun and moon, the presence of Discord, and the memories of years gone by.  They kept me going and here I am, watching you lower the sun like I used to forever ago."  She sighed, a smile appearing on her face.  "It hurts that he is gone, but I still have you two.  That's all I need."  Celestia smiled at her and joined her on the edge of the bed.        "We are always here for you, sister.  Remember that.  Yes, mother is gone, but we are still sisters even if there is no legal document saying so."  Celestia wrapped an arm and wing around her and brought her close.  "And we will always love you."  Ordinary smiled, puzzling her head into Celesta's chest.        "I will always love you, too."  She brought Celestia in a embrace and watched the streaks of yellow, orange, and purple fade away to make way for the dark sky.  It was a beautiful sight.  They soon found themselves falling asleep in each others arms, not caring what tomorrow had to bring.
