One day, seven strange creatures appear in the Everfree Forest. One of them, named Raven, is two-legged, thin and pale with a black mane and bright red eyes, and looks like no sentient race Equestria has ever seen. Six others are strange, varied beasts with powerful magic that Raven refers to as her friends, her team, or simply hers, and who follow her orders loyally.

While the residents of Ponyville offer their hospitality to the odd travelers, it is very clear that Raven is not telling anyone the whole story. Like why she is constantly plagued by nightmares, and the unknown reason why she does not want to ever go back home. She does not want to stay in one place at all, in fact, determined to put as much distance between herself and the forest that she came from as possible, regardless of the consequences.

Only time will tell if Equestria's newest septet of oddities will allow their mystery to be unraveled, if they even have a choice in the matter, and if the answers bode well for their new hosts.
