Vegeta, Prince of the Saiyans
It was a wonderful day in Ponyville. Everypony was happy to be living. The sky was bright and the clouds were bucked, allowing the sun that Celestia rose earlier that morning to shine down on the world below.
Suddenly, from the sky came a single pod that crashed into the center of town, right in front of the clock tower. A loud explosion could be heard as a crater was indented into the ground, the circular pod stuck inside. It was a white sphere big enough to probably allow two to three ponies in.
Everypony was shaken up, some being forced to the ground. Although some were hurt, only a few cuts and bruises were the biggest issues.
Just then while everypony was just staring at the pod, the front opened up and a tall, humanoid stepped out. It had black hair, stood up in tall spikes and wore a funny suit with what appeared to be strange, over-reaching shoulder pads. He stood high above everypony, probably surpassing Celestia even!
He opened his mouth and spoke in a raspy voice. “Hello citizens of…” he looked around, peculiar, colorful horses as far as the eye could see. “…this planet.” He shook his head a bit, allowing himself to take in what he was seeing. “I am Vegeta, prince of the Saiyans and the destroyer of your world.” He stood proudly, smugly shutting his eyes in a powerful grin.
Ponies stared for a minute, their eyes wide, before they screamed and ran in terror. Young fillies started crying as everypony ran to their houses to shut themselves in.
“Wait a minute!” a voice echoed beyond the chaos. Everypony stopped running and stared at the brave pony that stood against this giant being. Vegeta’s face turned from smug to surprised as he opened his eyes. “You can’t just come into Ponyville and try to destroy Equestria!”
Vegeta looked through the crowd and picked out a purple-colored one with a horn on the top of her head. Her face was in a scowl and her eyes glared at the saiyan. He shut his eyes. “Oh really,” Vegeta replied, his smugness returning. “And who are you to say…” His eyes shot open and looked to the unicorn. “Uuhhh…” His face showed him being dumbfounded, if not mesmerized. He turned away with a blush on his face.
The pony tilted her head in confusion before continuing her conversation. “I am Twilight Sparkle, a student of Princess Celestia and…”
“Perhaps…” Vegeta began, his voice echoing throughout Ponyville. “Perhaps, I… COULD… let you all… live…” He tilted his head upward, trying to show a form of dignity considering his proposition. “IF… and only if…” he looked to the ground and quickly quieted his voice. “I could pet your mane…”
Twilight’s left eye raised in confusion as she stepped closer to the saiyan prince. “I’m sorry, if… what?”
Vegeta grumbled. “I could pet your mane…”
“Excuse me?” Twilight wasn’t trying to force him into saying it extremely loud, she just wanted to be able to hear what he said.
“IF I COULD PET YOUR BEAUTIFUL MANE!!!!” Vegeta screeched, his face glowing red in both anger and embarrassment.
As soon as Twilight heard this, her pupils shrunk and a deep blush appeared over her muzzle. Somepony giggled behind Twilight, allowing a single sound to be echoed throughout the silenced Ponyville. She looked back to the crowd behind her, as well as a purple dragon pushing her forward.
Vegeta stood as tall and proudly as he could, despite the outlandish request.
“Okay…” Twilight stepped forward, her steps shaky and uneasy. “As long as you promise not to do anything to it,” Twilight’s voice quieted down similar to Vegeta’s before. “You… “ She was only a few feet away from the giant prince. “…may pet…” She stood directly underneath the saiyan. “…my mane.” She shut her eyes and lowered her head near the dirt.
Vegeta looked around at Ponyville slyly, trying to hold up all of his masculinity, before diving right in, his hands gently feeling out Twilight’s soft mane. Quietly to himself, Vegeta muttered words like ‘soft,’ and ‘beautiful,’ but were only audible to himself and the Equestrian he pet.
Suddenly, he stood up, his face overpowered by a smile so great. “Citizens of,” he looked to Twilight, who was ferociously fixing her mane.
“…Ponyville…”
“…Ponyville, I, Vegeta, Prince of the Saiyan race, hereby will not destroy Ponyville.” He looked over the overly ecstatic town. “Instead, I wish to learn everything I can about friendship!”
Ponies started celebrating some dancing around, some hugging close family and friends, and others breathing a sigh of relief.
Vegeta looked to the pony at his feet, her mane looking a bit unkempt, but still manageable. “Twilight, would you show me your friendship?”
She looked up and smiled. “Of course, Vegeta, Prince of…
The screen went black.
“What the Hell, Vegeta! I was reading that!” an annoyed Nappa screamed as he opened the recently slammed-shut laptop on his desk.
“Yeah, out loud, for all to hear!” Vegeta yelled, his face red in a blush from the strange fan-fiction written by a monkey on Earth. “I KNEW there’d be something like this the instance you mentioned it in that damn video!” He leaned on the desk and put his head into his trembling hands.
“Its okay, Vegeta,” Nappa replied calmly, reading further into the odd fan-fiction. “At least you get a good ending!”
“I DON’T WANT TO FUCKING HEAR IT, NAPPA!” the saiyan prince shouted in his royal stubbornness. He looked away to the door. “Now I have to go to Earth to find this monkey and kill him before anyone else reads it!” He made his way to Nappa’s pod.
“Wait! Vegeta, you might not want to…” Nappa began, being shut up by the slamming door. “Oh well,” Nappa sighed, looking back to the screen. “He’ll thank me later!” He continued the story.
Meanwhile, Vegeta got the pod ready and set up the automatic pilot for Earth. A rocket was fired from behind and he was sent zooming through space.
The automated voice began. “Next destination: Earth. Time until arrive: 23 Hours. Would you like entertainment?”
Vegeta thought about this for a while. “I don’t know what Nappa watches.” He laughed. “Whatever it is, I’ll be sure to mock him about later!” He looked to the screen. “Yes, play the video.”
All screens surrounding him showed one video playing the same thing. He sat back and relaxed; until he heard the starting: “Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria…”
Vegeta’s eyes jolted open as he saw the show playing was none other than My Little Pony.
“GODDAMMIT, NAPPAAAAAAAAA!!!!” shouted Vegeta as he shot through space learning more about friendship.
Author's Note
A one-shot story about the Prince of the Saiyans meeting Twilight Sparkle on very strange circumstances.
Also, I'd like to point out that, in the story, I attempted to sound like a different person. I attempted to sound more like myself as Nappa joined the scene.
Thanks, Nappa, your statement has caused too many problems for Vegeta!
