Rosey Red
Take me away.
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI woke up to rustling. Movement. I opened my eye's to see Red Delicious stand in front of me. He smiled.
"Hey sleepy head. Have a nice nap?" He chuckled. "I bandaged up your wounds, even your hooves." He smiled at me. Then continued. "I heard everything..." His voice went numb. Cold and hard. Yet his face kept smiling. As if he tried to assure me that it's okay that he heard me.
I blushed and lost all my breath. "Y-you... did?" I moved my tail and hit my gash. I whimpered.
"Yes, and I do feel the same. I have loved you since day one. Your beautiful, the prettiest mare in the world. And I love you." He said then looked away.
My heart raced, I panicked and sweated like crazy. I do that a lot. Sweating like crazy.
He looked me in my eyes deep and thoughtful. He slowly leaned in with closed eye's. I knew what was coming next. The kiss. My heart pounded in my chest, so hard it was right about to jump out and run away. I closed my eye's and leaned in too.
To soon my lips touched his mouth. Mine wet from nervousness, his dry from dehydration. Yet it sucked, my first kiss. It was amazing and I loved it. Spite all the mess that we got in, I loved every second of it.
When I took my head from his, I asked, "How did we get here?"
He answered sternly, "When you awoke from the crash, I had picked you up on my back and got you out of the cave, I set you down out under a tree away from the rain, and went looking for help. You some how ended up where I was trying to make a smoke signal." He stopped, a tear fell into the grass. And pressed on, "I heard noises of which sounded like a
person. Then I found you letting go of life..." He paused, sniffled and a few more tears fell to the ground. "I heard you saying you loved me. And I ran to you and caught you before you let go. I never want you gone. Don't ever leave me..." He started to cry. A silent sniffle cry. I pulled myself to him, since I couldn't get up with out pain striking me and causing me to fall. I wrapped my hooves around him and hugged him tightly. I had started to cry also.
I just lay there holding him as we cried. Till minutes passed, and he stopped crying. He whipped his face from dried up tears and muttered, "I know how to get out of the forest..."
I replied softly and looked him in the eye's, "Take me away from here. Please."
