//-------------------------------------------------------// Courage in the Heart -by CraftyVision- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Everyone knows about the famous Elements of Harmony. Laughter, kindness, generosity, honesty, loyalty, and magic. Nobody knows about the infamous seventh element. It’s true there’s six elements, but there’s a seventh element unknown to everyone. I’m Tyler, and this is the story of the seventh Element. It all started way back in Massachusetts, in the year of two-thousand thirteen. I could never stand MCAS! Lucky for me, this was the last MCAS test I ever had to take. I was in my Sophomore year at high school. If I passed the Biology MCAS, I’d never have to take it again! Any responsible teenager would be studying, right? Wrong. I was playing video games. At the time, it was about ten o’clock at night, and I was exhausted. I guess I passed out, and then I was falling. Endless falling. I thought I was falling forever, but then I crashed into a roof and blacked out. As I came to, I started looking around. Everything looked so... Cartoon-y. With my luck, I ended up in a library. The library was huge! It had a blueish floor, a giant glass window looking over a city, and a giant hourglass in the center! “Twilight. He’s coming to.” The purple dragon said, snapping me back to reality instantaneously. “That’s great.” The purple unicorn replied and smiled to the little dragon,  “How are you feeling?” All I wanted to say was that I was scared. But I put on a brave face showing I wasn’t scared. “Me? I’m fine, just fell right through the roof. Literally.” “That’s great.” The female smiled back at me, “I’m Twilight Sparkle. What’s your name?” “My name is Tyler.” I replied. “Nice to meet you Tyler.” Twilight started, then she stifled a giggle, “Tyler’s such a strange name.” “Yeah,” I began, “So is Twilight Sparkle.” “That’s normal for a name around here!” She said defensively and then nervously giggles, “Then that means, it’s normal where you’re from.” “Thanks for realizing that.” I said sarcastically. “Spike, did you send that letter?” Twilight asked the purple dragon, turning her attention to the purple dragon. Spike then sent the letter with the breath of... green fire. “Whoa.” I began, “What? How? What?” “Spike can send letters by magic. He has an empathy link with the Princess.” Twilight explained. “Couldn't you send it by E-Mail or something?” I asked. “E what?” Twilight asked me as she cocked her eyebrow and tilted her head. “Never mind. I’ll explain later.” All of a sudden, spike belched a flame and a parchment scroll materialized. “See? I told you spike.” Twilight smiled enthusiastically. “Ahem,” Spike began as his frown formed into a grin, “My faithful student, I trust your decision completely. But you must stop reading those dusty old books!” “What?!” Twilight exclaimed. “That was a plot twist for you.” I chuckled and then addressed the reader, "Now's the time you flip to the next chapter." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 The three of us were flying in a chariot. I mean, I've flown in an airplane, but this thing had no roof! I couldn't help but be a mix of nervousness and fear. Twilight noticed that I was most definitely scared, and she smiled at me. “Are you okay Tyler?” She asked me as a hint of concern washed over her face. “Y-yeah, I’m fine.” I stammered, “Just a bit afraid of heights.” “A pegasus afraid of heights?" She giggled, "That's a new one." “You learn something new every day.” I replied to Twi with a smug look. “You never told me where you’re from.” She stated. “I’m from Barnstable, Massachusetts.” I smiled, then frowned as I thought of home. “Massachusetts? I've never heard of that place.” She replied. “It’s, uh, really far away?” I improvised and nervously chuckled. “Oh.” Was all Twilight could say before we landed. As we landed, we thanked the stallions driving the chariot. We started walking, er, trotting into the small, medieval town. Spike then turned to Twi and spoke for the first time since the library. “Come on Twilight,” Spike began, pointing at the bright pink mare walking in our direction. “Just try to make a friend.” “Um, hello?” Twilight asked, unsure of what would happen next. “GAAAAAAAAAAAASP” The pink pony exclaimed, and flew off in the distance. “Well, that was interesting.” Twilight concluded. “That’s something you don’t see everyday.” I chuckled. “Whatever.” Twilight started as we started walking, “Spike, what’s first on the list?” “Food Catering.” Spike began, “We have to go to Sweet Apple Acres.” “Sounds fun.” I said. We all started walking towards Sweet Apple Acres as I looked around, and Twilight kept talking to Spike about Nightmare Moon or something. We were still unaware what the day would bring us.
