A Small Delay
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryIt took less than a minute to feel the difference of being on a gerne to falling straight down, plummeting through the sky.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
“Her pulse is fading, get ready.”
“One. Two. Three. Clear.”
Bzzt. Flmp.
“Nothing changed.”
“Once more. One. Two. Three.”
Bzzt. Fmp.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
“Again. Were losing her.”
“One. Two. Three.”
Bzzt.
Beeeeeeeeeeeep.

Skkrtt.
…
Whoosh. Krpt.
“Gah! There’s a Pegasus about to plummet to the ground!”
“I think she’s dead!”
` “Is she bleeding?”
Fwwosssh. Whip. Shhh.
“Gotcha.”
My eyes flutter open as a light giant place shines a bright white with warm light, the moon shining brightly outside. Dizziness causes my vision to get blurry, as I struggle to get up. My sides heave, but resist to rise as I grunt in pain and collapse back to the sound bedding I mysteriously was laying on. My memory not entirely lost, but somewhat faded. I realize I can’t move my fingers, or even if I had them still. I was too sore not to worry. Instead, I try to stand up again, the feeling of soft feathers touching my skin.
“Shh. Lay back down, you haven’t healed all the way.” A voice softly speaks. I couldn’t see much without my glasses. “Are my glasses anywhere around here by any chance?”
“I’ll get some for you soon, just rest for now.”
“But I love the moon. It’s pretty tonight too.”
“Would you like to go outside for a better view then?”
I chuckle. “As soon as I get my glasses.”
The feathers move ever so carefully as the winged woman picks me up, and puts me on her back. My side stings with a pain as I feel moistened bandages over it, smelling of clean fragrant products. I breath heavily to get my mind off of the pain. Blurs of grey walk near, speaking slightly to each other.
“I think I can walk now, I have to push weight on it anyways.”
“Be careful.” The woman says, placing me down, I immediately try to stand up, falling down and landing better weighted on my hands. How am I walking on four legs?
“Here, let me put on your glasses.”
She places the glasses on my head, and I see that she isn’t human, and neither am I, anymore.
I’m a fucking pony.
“I’m a horse?!” I yelp, looking at what used to be my hands.
“A Pegasus, to be exact.” The pony says next to me, having a horn, and wings.
“What… how..?” I start, but her purple hoof covers my mouth.
“I know there must be some explanation in the future, but you’re going to have to wait until the answer comes.” She says, as my side spasms and I grasp on to her side. “Lets go outside, okay?”
“Okay.” I say, walking with my four legs, getting used to the rhythm quickly. I breath in as a door opens, showing a main room, and revealing eight ponies sitting anxiously at the center, a blue one beating her wings anxiously, and then they all turn their heads to us, relief on their faces.
“She made it alive!” The blue one says, flying to me, knocking me over, making me gasp in shock.”
“Hi.” I laugh, scratching my head.
“Rainbow Dash is the name! What’s yours?”
I look at her thigh, revealing a tattoo of a cloud shooting a rainbow lightning bolt out the bottom.
I glance at the others and see they have them too, all different, except the small three, having nothing but the color of their skin.
I glance at my orange skin, seeing a picture on my thigh as well. It shows a sun shining over a hill. The sunny side of the hill.
“So? What is it hun?” A light orange pony asks me, a braid in her hair.
“Her name is Sunnyside.” The purple princess says, looking at me with a smile.
“Yeah, my name is Sunnyside, nice to meet you,” I say, holding out my hoof like a hand, and shaking her hand. I have a good feeling about this.
