A friend to the end

Okay so here's the summary of what happened last time: so Celestia and Starlight were in her quarters getting ready for bed when Fluttershy, Bidziil, and Bladecleaver knock on her door claiming to have been attacked by something in the Everfree forest. Starlight asks some questions and realizes that something horrible is being released onto the land of Equestria. Celestia asks him what happened and who it was and he hesitates. When he does this she gets angry and commands him to tell her. He does as he's told. Apparently a Demon which escaped Hell whom he claimed to be dead is still alive. Celestia loses it and starts screaming after putting a barrier on the walls so no one can listen to it. Apparently the Demon escaped Hell and he is about to be released apon the land once more. After Celestia orders him out of her chamber he takes the group to a room with  two large double doors on the top of the door was an orb like object, the doors had a great dragon embroidered onto the door . He quickly grabbed his magic, making his horn glow a bright flaming red color, he then released it as a bolt of magic at the orb above the door. The bolt hit the orb, making it glow the same color as the bolt, and the flaming red slowly moved down the door in the embroidered dragon and instantly began glowing. Then the doors began to slowly open a bright, white light shot through it, they all had to close their eye's and look away, whether Starlight was doing it was unknown to the group. However they heard his voice as he said, “walk into the light ad through the doors and all will be revealed to you.” they step through and find Starlight and a larger Alicorn talking, then another Alicorn comes into scene and then they are taken to the castle where they are ordered to take care of the Demon. They do as are told and go after him they find him in the forest and he turns a soldier into a Demon spawn and it attacks the other soldiers while Starlight and the other Alicorn go after the Demon they eventually subdue him and turn him to stone in the heart of the Everfree forest. Then they are taken out of the doors and are back into the room and are told to sleep. and here's it

                                                                                    Actual story

                                                                                Luna's point of view

Luna was out on the balcony, large door like windows wide open behind her  as she got ready to raise the moon. It was dark outside, the only light was from the castle and those from the houses of the citizens of Canterlot. She smiled a bit as she grabbed hold of her magic, her horn began glowing as did her hands. she grabbed a large amount of her magic, raising the moon was not easy. She needed a lot of magic to raise the moon, and that was only raising the moon that didn't count putting out all the stars into the sky. She breathed in deeply as she concentrated on raising the moon, raising her hands into the air, as this happened her magic enveloped her completely. At first nothing really seemed to happen, but then the moon could be seen, slowly rising over the distant hills and tree tops. In a couple of minutes, the moon was high in the sky where the sun originally would have been. She then released her magic, her job was done the moon was in the sky and the stars shone brightly. Unfortunately she couldn't see them because of the lights of Canterlot but she knew for a fact that they were there, however to  check she forced them to shine even brighter, as this happened the stars became barely visible, but visible none the less then let them die down a bit.

She smiled at her work feeling satisfied with the outcome of it all, then turned and walked back into her bed chamber closing the windows behind her. She smiled wider when she found her lover, Starbright sitting in a chair as if waiting for her to be done with her work. She walked over to him saying, “hello my love, thank you for waiting for me.”

He had a long smooth chin puff  which was about half a foot long, and a neatly tended mustache gave him an intimidating appearance. He gave a small smile as he stood up and walked over to her saying in a smooth calm voice yet there was a hint of mystery that one might find suspicious. “Of course my dear. He stood once she got to him, he was tall at at least a head taller than her, but still a hand or two shorter than Starlight, his older brother. He put a finger under her chin, lifting her head up to him then he gently press his lips to hers in a passionate kiss.

It didn't last long, only a moment but seemed to last forever to Luna. She hardly remembered anything  before her time on the moon, but she remembered Starbright and all the good memories they shared. she could remember no unpleasant memories with him at all. So they must have been lovers yes? Not only that, he just plain attracted her from some reason. She looked at him lovingly as she said, “so where have you been? I've not seen you in many days.”

He simply smiled as he said, “Guardian work my dear do not worry about it.” He wrapped an arm around her waist as he said, “I'm afraid it's top secret, you understand, yes?”

She smiled at him like a fool as a large blush came apon her face as she said, “oh, of course my love. I completely understand your reasoning.”

He smiled a warmer smile as he stroked her cheek saying, “ I'm glad you understand my dear.” He then gave her another kiss before saying, “I must go now. I have.... errands to run”. Then turned and walked towards the chamber door and walked out.

Luna sighed, she was in love with him so much, and it was absolutely ridiculous. She knew this to be fact, but didn't care. She knew he was connected to her past and seeing how hopelessly in love she was with him it was a good sign he was her soul mate. She sighed as she went to the mirror which was connected to her makeup stand. She looked good, she was contemplating whether to apply any makeup, or simply go as she was. She was about to head to the royal court room soon to take on her part of her duty as Princess of Equestria. “Hm, should I? Tia wears it and everypony adores her, perhaps if  I apply some make up.... no, I hate makeup, it's ridiculous and foalish. I am a fully grown mare and... oh who am I kidding I'm putting it on!

She then proceeded to apply some of the makeup. She put on the whole crew. Foundation, blush, mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, nail and hoof polish, and complimentary makeup (no idea what complimentary makeup is) she looked in the mirror and gasped, she looked like a clown! She put her face in her hands as she sighed embarrassed, how did Tia do it to look so good? She had those silly maids help her most likely, no doubt she would be no better than her at this on her own. She wanted to wipe her face off before going but knew there was no time for that now.  stood from her makeup stand and walked to the door to head to the court room. On her way walking through the hall ways she saw Celestia. She quickly looked about in fear. One thing she remembered was that before she was sent to the moon her sister often bullied her and acted as though she was better than her because she was a few years older than her. And she looked like a complete fool at the moment and didn't want her sister to see her like this. However, Celestia had already seen here and was giving her an odd look for a moment, then looked away, a bit troubled. So  She did the only reasonable thing she could think of- strode over to her, head held high and a serious look on her face- and a blush of embarrassment as she said curious tone, “sister, why are you up at this hour? Something troubles you yes?”

Celestia sighed as she looked to her and said, “nothing that you should be worrying about dear sister. Please, leave me be and go to the court room.”

However Luna frowned at her as she said, “sister, do not treat me like a foal. We both know that I'm no foal, I am your equal and demand you tell me your problem. It is my given right to know if the kingdom is in peril.”

“you certainly fooled me with your current look”, you look like a clown sister. Luna glared at her, face now beet red from anger and humiliation. Celestia put a few fingers to her head in a sigh, then she finally looked to her and said, “sister, you don't remember I'm sure, but a Demon escaped Hell once, Starlight and Starbright subdued him and imprisoned him in the Everfree forest-” Luna nodded as she listened intently- “well it seems that he has escaped from his prison and is loose in the Everfree forest. If he gets out countless lives of my- our subjects will be taken.”

Luna simply nodded- yet a look of fear was on her face as she said, “I see...well none the less sister, you need to rest now. Let me worry about it for now, I rule the night. In the morning I will gladly give the responsibility back to you.”

Celestia smiled as she said, “you are right sister, I will be more useful fully rested than exhausted in the morning.” She gave her sister a gently hug and said good night as did Luna and headed off to her chambers to sleep.

                                               The next day: Fluttershy's point of view

Fluttershy yawned as her eye's slowly slid open, she looked around a bit and saw that she wasn't in her room as she expected but in a large chamber in a king sized bed covered with thick red blankets. The bed felt like a cloud almost, of course she hadn't really laid on a cloud in quite some time- as in four to five years to be exact- so she really didn't know what a cloud felt like exactly. She sighed as she sat up slowly and looked around a bit more, trying to take in all that had happened the night before. She eventually sighed as she put a hand to her head,  “what a crazy night”, she thought grimly as a chill went up her spine at the thought of the creature which attacked her. She looked down and noticed her clothes from last night were still on. She sighed as she forced herself to push the thought out of her head and got up out of bed and walked to the rooms mirror she looked at her mane- it was sprung up everywhere and was a complete mess. She sighed and picked up a brush and brushed it a bit, it didn't take a lot of brushing. Her mane was easily managed. It took about a minute for her to get her mane neatened and then she got up and walked towards the door to leave the room.

As soon as she walked out she saw Bidziil standing near a window next to her door. She smiled as she said, “oh, hello Bidziil, is everything alright?”

He looked to her and said, “yes, only... I find myself troubled over what is going to happen now, who is going to stop this Demon?”

Fluttershy looked away rubbing her arm nervously as she said, “that’s a good question, I'm sorry but I really don't know. Probably us... I mean- she suddenly went pale at what she had just said. Oh my....”

Bidziil sighed as he walked over to her and nuzzled her cheek saying, “don't worry you'll be fine they won't force you to go alone, nor do I believe they will have you and I do this anyway.”

Fluttershy sighed realizing he didn't know what the elements of harmony were. So she quickly explained what she meant in an unhappy fashion.

Bidziil nodded in understanding as he said, “I see, well then I doubt they will send you and your friends out alone to fight a Demon, do you? After all you know them better than I what they would do.”

Fluttershy rubbed her arm as she said, “I- I don't think the princess would allow it me and the other girls should be fine- I hope...”

Bidziil nodded as he walked over to her and said, “I hope not, it's very dangerous in the forest now. Too dangerous for you or anypony else for that matter.”

Fluttershy nodded, a look of fear on her face, fear that she would have to go into the forest. She sighed as she walked over to the window and looked out. She saw the bustling city below, even at this early in the morning, and it would only get more packed down there. She soon felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see that Bidziil was looked out the window too, a hard, stone mask on his face. “What is he thinking about?” Her her thoughts were left unanswered as Twilight and Bladecleaver came out of their rooms also, dressed in the clothes they wore before and ready to go and do what was needed.

Twilight yawned a bit and smiled a bit at Fluttershy with a sleepy look on her face as she said in a groggled tone, “good morning Fluttershy, Bidzip.”

Bidziil's eye's became slits and his face became harder too. Bladecleaver and Fluttershy giggled a bit at her mispronunciation of his name as Fluttershy somehow managed to say in a level tone, “Twilight, his name is Bidziil, not Bidzip.”

Twilight instantly began blushing as she looked to Bidziil with a sheepish smile and said, “sorry, I'm not used to names like yours yet.” He gave her a simple nod in response to this.

Bladecleaver gave a stretch and then he said, “okay, let's go and see Celestia and see what she wants us to do before we do anything else.”

They all agreed that it was the best course of action to take, then they headed out on to Celestia's throne room, seeing it was the first place she would most likely be at.

They walked out of the corridors where their rooms were located to the great hallways of the castle. They walked down straight through, Bladecleaver leading the way, then he took a left at the end.

Twilight looked around uncertainly as she said, “um Blade I'm pretty sure the throne room isn't this way.

Bladecleaver waved her off as he continued walking, “Twilight please I know my way around the castle, this is the right way, trust me.”

She nodded doubtfully and left it at that. They kept walking down straight, then went through a door to another hallway and went through two more and finally ended up at a large double doored entrance. “The throne room is right behind this door, I can feel it in my bones.” He then pushed the door open and was surprised to see they were in the library.

“Huh? um...” he looked back at the others unsure.

Twilight sighed as she said, “see, I told you that you were leading us the wrong way, let me lead this time and we'll get there.”

Bladecleaver gave her a dull look and said, “fine then you lead ''princess'', and see if you can do any better.”

Fluttershy looked back and forth nervously as they bickered, but then saw Celestia and Starlight talking quietly to each other not even twenty feet away. “um... guys I think-”

“not now Fluttershy ''I'' am going to lead us to the throne room.”

Then they walked out and went back the way they came. Okay so we'll go through this door. She pointed to a door on the wall to the side of the one that Bladecleaver led them through. They went through it and walked to the end an turned the corner and went through a door which led to another hallway and then went through another right in front of the one they came out of. They did this for about twenty minutes, finally they ended up at another pair of double doors. She looked back with a smug smile on her face as she said, “ ''now'' we are here.”

She then opened the door and her mouth fell open- they were in the library again. “What but- how- why-”

It was Bladecleaver's turn to give a smug smile as he said, “oh you ''definitely'' showed me Twi, you were right, you have a-”

she got into Bladecleaver's face as she angrily said, “shut up Blade.”

He did as he was told, but his smile never left his face.

Fluttershy once again saw Celestia and Starlight talking quietly in a corner. “um... T-Twilight, I -”

“not now Fluttershy, I am going to try this again. I've spent almost my entire foalhood here, I can do this, I'm just um... a, little tired, that's all.” She then led the way out of the library and went back to where they started when Bladecleaver first led. “Okay, so um...oh this is it I just know it. She then went out a door to a hallway and found a large set of stairs. She smiled and said, “see, this is promising, it's different than before.”

Bladecleaver looked up and his ears went down as he saw nothing but stairs going into pure darkness. “That's a whole lot of stairs, are you sure this better be the right way.”

Twilight looked back at him as she said, “it is, trust me.” They then started up the stairs, it took them thirty minutes to reach the top of the stairs. However once their, they had to pass through a lot of obstacles such as, flamethrowers, dragons, and had to cook a burrito for a Manitore before they could pass. And after that they had to pass though a hidden door. It all took half an hour to do all this not to mention finding the hidden door. That took and an hour to find. Finally they reached another pair of double doors.

Bladecleaver looked at Twilight as he said, “this better be the right one.”

Twilight gulped, afraid everything they just went through was for nothing. Finally she had the courage to open the door and nearly screamed, they were back at the library again. However she was in a library and so was not willing to do so, even now.

Bladecleaver stamped a hoof and said, “okay we're asking for directions.”

Fluttershy looked nervously at Celestia and Starlight sitting in the corner talking, she then turned to Twilight and said, “um... Twilight I-”

“oh my gosh will you stop already? We have more important things to do right now Fluttershy.”

She flinched away as she said, “o-oh um.... okay.”

Twilight walked up to the librarian and asked, “excuse me, but do you know how to get to the throne room from here?”

She looked at her oddly as she said, well whatever for dear?

“To see Princess Celestia of course.”

“um... Celestia isn't in the throne room.”

Twilight looked at her oddly as she said, “um... what? Why?”

Because she's in here, then pointed to the princess and Starlight.

Twilight looked at her, ears down as she said, “w-we... we did it all for nothing...” she then started laughing like a mad pony, and laughing became crying.

Fluttershy sighed as she said, “that's what I've been trying to tell you two this entire time.”

Twilight rounded on her as she said, “wait, you knew this whole time and didn't SAY A WORD?!”

Fluttershy shrunk back as she said, “um... y-yes?”

Twilight looked like she'd explode any moment as her entire face went a deep red color. However she quickly calmed down as she said with a sigh, “I'm sorry Fluttershy, we should have listened to you- “I” should have listened to you and actually let you speak up. It's my fault we're in this mess.”

Blade and Bidziil both nodded in agreement to this. But Fluttershy quickly said, “oh no, it's not your fault Twilight, I should have spoken up and said something. It's my fault we're in this mess.”

“No, it's not it's- “

Bladecleaver saw this would not end for a while if ever so he stepped in saying, “look, we don't have time for this alright?” Your both sorry. And are both to blame for this so Live with it.” Both mares fell silent at this. Twilight glared a bit but that was it. “Now come on we need to go and talk to Celestia and Starlight right now and see what is going on.”

They then all headed over to Celestia and Starlight. When they got to the table Twilight smiled and said, “hey princess, we're here.” However, neither even acknowledged her at all.

Bladecleaver pushed her aside saying, “let me take care of this alright? He then got into Celestia's ear and began whispering, something into her ear.”

Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes turned to fifteen before Celestia finally bellowed, “WHAT?!”

Bladecleaver smiled as he said, “we want to know what you want us to do now?”

Celestia sighed, putting a hand on her head for a minute. Finally she looked up and said, “I don't know, we're talking of something to do right now. And what you just did isn't helping any Bladecleaver (I don't remember what he said to her), she said with a stony glare.”

Bladecleaver just smiled with satisfaction as Twilight looked at Bladecleaver confused but said nothing.

Starlight finally spoke up as he said, “I want you all to go to Ponyville and wait for my letter there. Do ''not'' go into the forest without my letter.” Bladecleaver nodded with an innocent mask on his face. “Silverstreak will be going with all of you. He's going to the forest also, but ''not'' until I tell you to do so, understood?”

He nodded with that innocent face on and said, “of course Starlight I would never disobey you.”

Starlight raised an unamused eyebrow as he said, “right. Well you best keep it that way mind you.”

Bladecleaver gave a regal bow as he said, “your wish is my command.”

Starlight sighed as he said, “fine, do any of the rest of you have any questions you want answered?”

Fluttershy nodded as she said, “um... yes actually I do...”

he nodded and said, “okay, ask away then.”

She nodded as she said, “well the...um... thing that attacked me came to my house in the form of a foal. Do you think you know why this happened?”

Starlight pondered it a moment before saying, “yes, I think I have a hunch as to why it happened. You see the Demon we're dealing with attacked a couple of villages I'm sure. Probably killing foals and mares, the whole lot-” Celestia cringed as she heard this, obviously not happy to hear of her subjects getting killed- “they're souls are probably trapped inside the body of the demon spawn. It's soul probably found a way out and came to you for help.”

“I don't know he wanted to play he said.”

“Then he was most likely lonely and wanted company, nothing too bad. Does that answer your question completely?”

She nodded as she said, “yes very much thank you”, then she gave a small curtsy to Starlight’s amusement.

“Please, I'm not king just yet, there is no need to bow to me Fluttershy. Now then are there any other questions?” Nopony said anything so he nodded as he said, “I guess not, good now head onto Ponyville.”

All four of them nodded in unison and turned to leave the library. But Bladecleaver quickly turned back as he said, “wait, where do we find Silverstreak at Starlight?”

“Down at the carriage ports Blade, I want you all to use a carriage to get to Ponyville.”

Bladecleaver looked at him surprised as he stomped a hoof on the floor as he began to object, “but Starlight it would be much quicker to simply-”

“I want to be sure I'm clear on what I said about you going into the forest. And I can think of no better way to do this than to send you all to Ponyville the long way to make sure you understand. Keep in mind Bladecleaver, the most you’ll be fighting is a couple weeds in Twilight's garden that she needs plucked out.”

Bladecleaver then began to pout as he heard the silent snickers from Twilight, and noticed Celestia was quite amused also at this. He stared at him a bit longer, shoulders stiffened as did the rest of his body before giving a loud snort and stalking away angrily.

The rest of them followed him out of the library as they all walked in silence. However the silence didn't last long as Twilight broke it saying, “oh, I have to go and get Spike, he didn't come along last time.”

Fluttershy smiled as she said, “I haven't seen Spike in a while, how is he?”

“He's alright, he seems a little homesick though he misses Ponyville just as much if not more than me. He'll be happy to know that he has a chance to go back now.” She then turned and walked off to the dorm rooms to get Spike.

Fluttershy looked worriedly at Bladecleaver as she said, “do you think she'll get lost?”

“No, the dorms are easy to find, it's the throne room that tricky, it's for safety precautions in case the city is over taken the princesses will have one last place to hide. As you can see it's not easy if you don't go through the exact doors, this gives them time to formulate a plan of action.”

Fluttershy nodded impressed by the secrets held within the castle as she said, “oh.”

Bladecleaver then said, “come on we need to move off to the carriage port like Starlight said.”

She nodded as she and Bidziil followed Bladecleaver to the carriage port to wait for Twilight and Spike so they could go. They walked down the halls and in about five minutes were at the royal carriage port.

Not more than thirty yards away, a large gray Unicorn was standing over by a large golden carriage, most likely the carriage they were meant to ride in.

Bladecleaver smiled as he said, come on that's Silverstreak right there. He walked over to him quite quickly, Fluttershy and Bidziil following him quietly over to the stallion.

The stallion was tall, about a hand shorter than Big Mac and not quite as large, but very close to it. He wore gold plated armor which had a hammer with a red dragon encircling it over blood red chain mail. He also wore gold plating as pants. Surprisingly enough they stretched quite, not limiting movement at all. He also had a sword belted to his hip. His fur was gray, his mane and tail were cream white, and he had deep blue eye's behind a pair of glasses, a rather unfitting, and limiting quality for a warrior such as himself to possess.

He didn't even look twice at them as he looked around as a foal would in a store who had just been separated from his mother. However when he saw Bladecleaver he smiled, obviously being acquainted with him at the very least.

Once they got within five feet of him he said in a timid, yet surprisingly deep voice, “oh, hey Bladecleaver. This must be the um... ponies we're escorting to Ponyville then?”

Bladecleaver gave a dull look with a sigh as he said, “yeah, we're missing one though. Twilight's getting her messenger dragon to take with her to Ponyville.”

The stallion gave him a hard look as he said, “it's ''Princess'' Twilight. Bladecleaver show some respect for once seriously.”

Bladecleaver rolled his eye's as he said, “please Silver- spare me the lecture alright? I get more than enough from Starlight I don't need you starting up too now.”

Fluttershy looked at Bladecleaver surprised, he seemed so mature last she saw him in Ponyville, and even the night before. What happened?

Silverstreak sighed as he said, “you need the lectures because you never act your age.”

Bladecleaver moved his lips in the way Silverstreak did in a mocking gesture then said, “whatever. Anyway the point is Twilight's coming too she'll be here soon.”

the stallion sighed as he shook his head and looked to Fluttershy and Bidziil as he said, “oh, sorry, I'm Silverstreak in case you didn't catch that. I'm a Guardian like Bladecleaver here, see we're kind of like friends and-”

Bladecleaver looked at him surprised as he said, “kind of? Either we are or we aren't Silver.”

Silverstreak sighed as he said, “we ''are'' friends.” Bladecleaver nodded his head in approval.

Fluttershy nodded nervously as she said, “oh um... I see.... interesting, well um... I'm uh, F- Fluttershy....” Bidziil was silent and quiet as a statue, not even giving an introduction much less a smile.

Bladecleaver looked at the wagons annoyed as he said, “why can't Starlight trust me, I mean come on I'm trust worthy.”

Silverstreak rolled his eye's as he said, “not really.”

Bladecleaver glared at him, before he could say anything else though Twilight and Spike soon walked out to the carriage ports. Spike was stuck carrying all of his and Twilight's things out also.

Twilight smiled as she walked past all the carriages to them, Spike barely able to be seen from all Twilight's bags and his that he had to hold.

It didn't take long for them to walk over to them, once they did Twilight kept her smile as she said, “okay I'm ready now. Spike put our things in the carriage please.” Spike's response was muffled by the bags in front of his face but tried to walk to the carriage none the less. Unfortunately he was going the wrong way. Twilight set him in the right direction with a slight giggle.

However Bladecleaver stopped him saying “no, we're not going in the carriage.”

Twilight gave him a confused look as she asked, “then how do we get to Ponyville?”

“The same way we got here, a portal.”

“But Starlight said-”

“I don't care Twilight.” He then walked up to the carriage pony, gave him a tip of five bits and told him to go to Ponyville. The driver argued a bit, but then Bladecleaver slapped his flank bellowing, “YA!” The driver took off whinnying like crazy.

Twilight and Silverstreak face palmed as Fluttershy sighed. Bidziil did nothing, not even blink.

Twilight gave him a very vexed stare as she said, “nice going Blade, now how do we get to Ponyville?!”

He smiled as he said, “simple. I'll open a portal and we'll be there in no time.”

“But Starlight said- “

“not to. I know I just don't care.” He then turned from the group and began work on the portal.

Twilight sighed in frustration as she angrily thought, “what's wrong with Bladecleaver, he was so mature before. now he's well... so immature! Is this whats he's really like? Or is something up? I hope it's not the real him...”

Not too long later, Bladecleaver had the portal open as he said, “there we go, it's ready. Come on you guys.”

Silverstreak sighed as he said, “we're going to get into a lot of trouble for this Bladecleaver.”

“Nonsense! Why would we get in trouble Silver?”

“Because we're disobeying a direct order from Starlight! You know how mad he gets when you do this and it always leads to disaster when we do it your way anyway!”

Bladecleaver rolled his eye's as he said, look you'll never get anything in life by simply following orders all the time Silver. Think of the fame we'll get if we kill this Demon.

WHAT?! Twilight and Silverstreak both screamed in unison.

Silverstreak then said, “Bladecleaver if you think we can take a ''Demon'' on our own you've really lost your mind!”

then Twilight said, besides Starlight told you not to! Don't do this Blade this isn't you!

Bladecleaver looked at Twilight and laughed as he said, of course it is. Why wouldn't it be? Are you high again Twi?

Twilight looked at him hurt as she began blushing and felt like an idiot but was silent. “I can't believe I fell for an idiot...” she thought angrily.

come on we don't have all day Silver lets go.

Silverstreak sighed as he walked through the portal. Then Twilight walked through giving him an angry glance. Then Fluttershy and Bidziil followed suit through the portal.
