When Twilight Sparkle meets Princess Celestia's newest apprentice, Sunset Shimmer, she hopes that she can become great friends with her.

Unfortunately, that's not what Sunset Shimmer plans on doing. She, instead, begins to ruin Twilight's reputation in an effort to crush her spirits completely and become Celestia's greatest student. Their rivalry will continue to grow when Sunset discovers a dark secret about an old amulet that hangs on Celestia's wall.

Now, Twilight must deal with vampires, zombies, and all kinds of monsters while using a mysterious energy only known as the Hamon.

And that's just the beginning of Twilight's most bizarre adventure yet.
