Walking in her shadow

I stared at the elderly mare with disbelief. "But... I am a princess." She responded "that is right! That's why we gave you the best room to live in."

"How may I leave?"

"Two weeks time the princess will send for you."

"Why am I here?"

"Curiosity killed the cat....or in this case the pony!"

After that I was silent. I didn't want something dreadful to happen to me. I wasn't fed much. Just enough to keep me alive. What have I done to deserve this? I raise the moon as usual so that cannot be the reason. But then what could. I pondered this. For days. I've tried to count them but after time lost track. Soon Celestia called for me. One thing was for sure. This was longer than a week.
