shattered dreams of a comatose patient
Chapter 1 - Mind Diving
"Get the IV drip STAT!" A voice shouted.
Johnny opened his eyes slowly to see a hazy room and two doctors looming over him, the feint taste of blood and the lack of feeling in his right side caused him to panic, knocking over several objects on the table.
"He's losing stability, James get the anesthetic, now!" the Doctor, who was on his right, said.
He felt a prick on his left arm and quickly passed out. drowning all sound and light out of his world.
He awoke with a start,his vision blurry.What he saw was a light blue fuzzy blur in front of him. it took him a while to take in his surroundings fully and focus his eyesight. he was in a field with a light breeze cooling him down from the warm summer weather he then looked down with a look of horror on his face. his left leg had became a stump with a hard brittle end to them. This was the same for his other leg and arms from top to bottom was a thin light blue coat getting thicker on the chest and thin again on the stomach and legs he yelped in horror as his mind registered what had happened.
He took note of his transformation with shock. His hair was longer then before and came to quarter of the way down his back in a dark blue colour with curls at the front and back. He examined his new form more to notice he had a pair of wings attached to his back with dozens upon dozens of delicate,but resilient feathers joining together to make two large wings. He fluttered them slightly but, found the work strenuous and tiring as he wasn't used to it. he then saw that he now had a tail attached to his behind which was he same colour of his hair with the same styling.
After a stern look at his legs, an icy look of registering appeared on his ice blue eyes. He had turned into a brightly coloured pony. With an effort he made his way onto two legs and found that his rear legs couldn't hold his weight fully and quickly buckled. He suddenly changed his game plan and moved onto four legs. His movements were slow and inaccurate with placement of his legs, as he wasn't used to this way of walking. Johnny looked around for some town where he could get help. To his left was a dark forest and far to the right was a mountain range with a building on the side of it that he couldn't make out. directly ahead was the start of a path which he could only assume lead to a town or village.
After several moments of walking, Johnny had started wondering how he got here and why he couldn't remember anything before waking up. The more he thought about it the more it made no sense and the more it made no sense the more he worried. He snapped back to reality to find that he was galloping across the path. He then found himself unable to stop as he flew over a large rock sending him tumbling towards his unexpected victim. After the collision, he jumped up in shock to see a lavender coloured mare with a purple, dark indigo and pink coloured straight mane.
"I am so sorry, I fell forwards off something!" Johnny apologized quickly.
The mare jumped up with ease and brushed herself off.
"It's OK, it wasn't your fault" She said in a calm voice. "I've not seen you around here before, my name is Twilight Sparkle. I can show you around the town if you like after i finish collecting some ingredients."
Johnny jumped at the chance like a tiger to its prey.
"It would help a lot. I don't fully remember how i got here so, knowing where the medical centre of the town is may aid me in getting rid of this Amnesia I seem to be having. " He said cautiously, making sure that he could fully trust the mare. After all, he thought, It would probably sound weird saying he was a human that had turned into a pony with only a limited memory of his past. He looked at her for a moment before noticing that she had a horn upon her head which was slightly hidden by her mane. Another observation he made was that she has a strange mark on her flank. It was of a large, light lavender star surrounded by smaller white stars with a large, white star behind the lavender one.
Twilight sparkle examined him for a moment before speaking.
"Its unusual that a fully grown stallion like you wouldn't have a cutie mark." She said, narrowing her eyes, "and im detecting a large amount of magical energy in you. which, is impossible as you're a pegasus"
She frowned intensely as if she was lost in her own thoughts. Johnny knew that this was a mare who hated not knowing things. Finally she broke out of her thoughts and turned back the way she came.
"I've decided that the tour will come early." she said with determination in her voice.
"but, what about the ingredients you needed?" He exclaimed.
Twilight smiled, with sudden flames between her eyes.
"it can wait until we get your to the town." She replied
Suddenly she grabbed his foreleg and her horn glowed purple as the world they knew flashed before them. Seconds after, they warped towards the town at lightning fast speed.
His stomach landed before johnny could even feel the ground as he instantly felt sick. He lurched forward towards an empty bag on the floor fortunately seconds before throwing up. once the nauseousness of teleporting for the first time left him he turned towards twilight who was galloping towards a big tree with a door and windows. Ignoring the looks of disgust at the cobalt coloured pegasus, Johnny ran after her towards the tree-house.
