Gold Star, a normal pegasus filly, living a normal life in her home village of Brightwood. The day before her school's big track meet, one that she had been looking forward to since the year before and she had it all so perfectly planned out. Early morning run around the school track; check. Spend some time with friends and family later that night; check. Best friend goes missing in the middle of the night; what?

She said that she was going into the forbidden woods for reasons that only Gold Star knew. The very same woods that are said to filled with dangerous and terrible creatures that prey upon those that enter its territory.
